The restaurant is probably losing out if they’re not ordering more than one meal at the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this table and filling people to the point of needing bags is not helping them generate more profit In the last few months i’ve asked to take home leftovers 3 times. Twice in restaurants in Chinatown and the yesterday in Roti King. Each time they gave me the containers and let me sort it out myself. In restaurants I know this has been described as a food safety issue: once it’s on your table, it’s contaminated.

We are the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this only living species from genus Homo as of now. But there was a time when other species existed, but only Homo sapiens survived. What do you think the final days of last few members of other species like? Or the last member? What do you think could be the interactions that may have taken place between different Homo species? In what ways did one species influence other? If any of those species survived, how different would today’s world be? PS – I’m a doc, however, evolution has always intrigued and many a times, i find myself going down this deep thinking spiral. If any of these questions are factually not possible, I’d like to be corrected. But I’d like to get your imagination running!I like to believe the last Neanderthals died of old age mating with our ancestors. I saw a documentary recently that said it may have been a super-volcano that got them. I always assumed modern humans just killed them after interbreeding for a minute.
Always thought I’d want to go at 95 in a motel with a 20 yr old. Now I want to pass sitting in my chair with a good book and a glass of expensive scotch. (Sorry for the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this long response in advance. I’m studying archaeology and want to specialise in human evolution, so I have many thoughts. If anyone catches a mistake, please do correct me!) There was a decent amount of interaction between Homo species. Homo sapiens and H. neanderthalensis most likely had intercourse and offspring, considering most of us (especially in Europe) have a relatively considerable amount of Neanderthal DNA. Especially Neanderthals lived alongside us for a long time. We were much more similar than people often think. The fact that they almost certainly procreated with H. sapiens and produced fertile offspring has even made a reclassification possible, as that would mean they (and we) are, in fact, the same species, but different subspecies. Hominins have lived alongside each other and interacted for a very long time. Some hominin material cultures spanned several species’ existence, and are therefore likely indicators that hominins always socialised with other hominin species. The oldest material culture, the Oldowan stone tool industry, was practiced by Australopithecus garhi, as well as H. habilis and H. ergaster. It evolved into the Acheulean industry, which was used by H. erectus and possibly H. heidelbergensis. There’s a lot of evidence for hominin interaction based on stone tools alone. Who knows what else they did together?

I don’t think it’s possible to know what the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this last days of extinct Homo were like, but I like to think they weren’t entirely alone. Perhaps the last of them met a violent end, a small group of H. heidelbergensis against a group of predators they couldn’t fight off. Or maybe the last Neanderthal found their rest in a group of H. sapiens who found them wandering alone and took them in. It’s also entirely possible the last person died alone in a cave or an open space in the woods. Maybe other hominins found them and mourned them, too. As for how different today’s world would be, it’s hard to say. Neanderthals could be functioning members of society, but because brains aren’t generally preserved, we’re not entirely sure of that. We can’t know if they would’ve had the cognitive function to talk, though it seems fairly likely to me, considering their brains were roughly the same size as ours (slightly larger on average, in fact, from the information we have). I feel like there would be an ethical debate on how to treat other Homo species right about now. Unfortunately, we’ll never know. It’s definitely interesting to think about, though.
“We’ll never know” … while there may be significant ethical considerations, we might be able to bring them into being again through gene technology? Personally I think bringing them back would be the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this morally right thing to do, but others might disagree. Also those larger brains…I’ve read a theory that Neanderthals, despite their image, may actually have been more social than us, which may have accelerated their “extinction” (given that there is still some significant amount of Neanderthal DNA in some of us, I don’t really see them as fully extinct). Based on what?? I’m legitimately curious about your argument, since every time I’ve ever brought up the topic of resurrecting extinct hominin species, its almost universally seen as a bad idea. Based on the fact that it would allow us to gain insights to who we are as a species. Heck, if they turn out to be smart then that would be great! We could probably even integrate them into our society (that would be where my real ethical concern would be. The bringing them back part less, but forcing somebody to live in our current societal climate seems deeply unethical to me). The arguments against it mainly reflect the flaws of our own species…
Now I wouldn’t go as far as bringing back earlier species than the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this Neanderthals. We know the Neanderthals used tools, were not stupid and had a bigger brain than us. They might actually flourish alongside us. Already another plus. I have never broken a single bone in my entire life. When I was in school the teacher told us to write about “the first time we broke a bone” but I couldn’t – I had never had this experience. So I did what any sane person would do: Come up with some bs sob story. Damn was my father mad that the “teacher basically told me to lie”. We could understand so much more about bone structure from them. I would like to learn more about that, given my own situation. However, rare research with hunter-gatherer women suggests that perhaps their periods were shorter, lasting three days or less, compared with the experience of women in industrialised populations While I don’t have this problem, I think that women would especially be interested in any technology that shortens periods without negative effect? We could learn more about this if we had live specimen.
We could gain so much knowledge from living Neanderthals. Especially in the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this realm of human anatomy. We’d have a species to compare against. Also, working alongside a Neanderthal, considering the theories about their social capabilities would be really interesting. You’re missing the obvious ethical concerns about bringing back a small number of individuals who would never feel like they belong to humanity, be treated as a novelty at best, have no culture or history to lean on besides “not strong enough to make it in the real world,” likely not have the same legal rights as we do, not have access to the medical care we do, and be hated by vast numbers of people just for what they are. We know the Neanderthal genome had a certain gene that is so essential for speech that modern people who lack it cannot speak. And we have done digital recreations of their voice box I think, and found that they might not have been able to pronounce the difference between soft “e” and soft “i”. Can you explain more? I always thought that Neanderthals exclusively mated with our ancestors who left Africa – as in, people who are 100% African have zero Neanderthal DNA.
But, clearly these people can talk, so wouldn’t that preclude a Neanderthal gene being a requirement for human speech? I’m saying that, according to my bio-anthro teacher, the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this sequencing of the genomes of both H. Sapiens and H. Neanderthalenses showed that both human subspecies possessed that particular gene. It was a shared trait, passed down from the common ancestor of the genus Homo. Not sure if our Australopithecus ancestors had it, though, but it is likely. They were all capable of feeling empathy, much like the gradually declining majority of us now, so I’d go with your answer Did they know that they were “different” different? or did they see the others like “valley people” or “mountain people”.
You know it’s funny. I work in healthcare and I’m a total nerd about Biology. Evolutionary Biology. Evo-Psych, Paleontology, etc, it always surprises me that more physicians aren’t interested in that stuff. It seemed like such a natural extension. I have always been very touched and fascinated by the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this story of that guy named Ishi. He’s supposedly the last Native American living “wild”, meaning the traditional ways. He was found, sick and brought back to a University to live out his days in the care of Dr. Saxton Pope. He taught them a lot about ethnography (he could ID artifacts as belonging to ethnic groups even far away) he taught native hunting and fishing techniques. He is the ad-hoc patron saint of traditional bowhunting in the USA.
His people had been pushed into a smaller and smaller corner of their world. Eventually, he was living way up a rugged, brushy canyon in California, where salmon still ran and he could hunt deer. Just his mother, sister, and grandfather (or great uncle). They were avoiding the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this white people, and other natives who had been pushed into their historic territory. Not just them, but every other group had been devastated by disease and violence. They knew about a few others from their band living in similar areas. Eventually they never saw them again. Then one day some cattlemen unexpectedly rode into their camp. Everybody ran in different directions, and he never saw his family again. He lived several more years alone until he got sick and went down to a ranch to try to steal some food. Some dogs cornered him in a sheep corral and that’s where the white world discovered him.
Obviously, Ishi was a man just like you and I, a H.sapiens, a fully modern human, different only culturally and immunologically. But I think it was kind of like that. Just less and less of you, and people like you. More and more isolated. The others may be friendly or not. There may have been violence and disease, or there may have just been more and more of them and fewer of your family. Until eventually, you wander all over and don’t find any more like you, and you get old or get sick and die alone, wondering if you are the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this last. Anyhow, Kroeber, along with Hurtado and Heizer, is to this day one of the best early acdemic sources we have for Native California. He was a prolific writer and collector who was genuinely and deeply fascinated with the incredibly complex cultural mosaic that was pre-Columbian California. No other part of what’s now the US was as densely populated and culturally diverse as was Native California.
Probably just chilling with our ancestors if they were Neanderthals or maybe Denisovans. They had it lucky. Some of the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this others I feel terrible for. The ones who probably didn’t even meet any other Homo’s since Theresa’s probably a last few that died completely alone. Think of animals that have gone extinct that we know of where there was literally just one of them left. That seems like such a lonely existence. It was probably the same for some of them. I have read that there was mingling and interbreeding between different groups throughout Africa, from Neanderthals, early Homo sapiens, Denisovans, Homo heidelbergensis, maybe more. So, no last of the “pure” Neanderthals seeing their own demise. The earliest fossils show a mixture of primitive and modern features. An excellent article from the Smithsonian on this subject is:
I doubt it was an actual moment. More likely that they kept on mixed shagging and eventually the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this stronger genes took over. We see it in modern times with skin colour from mixed race relationships who have a kid. Say you have a region of Neanderthals (N) and a neighbouring vast area mostly of Homo Sapiens (H). If H reproduce more, travel a bit, and mix, progressively the N part of the genome of the region becomes 90% N 10% H on average, then 50/50, then 25/75 and so on until reaching what it is today: 2% of the genes in Europe and Asia, nearly 0% in Africa. Somehow they keep getting diluted when for example Europeans blend with Africans and produce children with ~1% N genes. There doesn’t need to be a sharp boundary. Who would be the last Neanderthals: the last with >50% N genome? He is surrounded by other people with 49% N, he would hardly feel like being the last, he’s just like everybody else in the area.
William Golding – who wrote Lord of the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this Flies – has a brilliant novel about the last neanderthals called The Inheritors. Clever speculation on this topic and written from the pont of view of the neanderthals themselves. Worth a read if you can find it. I don’t think it was a situation where the last Neanderthal on the planet died off in a cave alone. It’s more likely our hominid cousins died off in mass numbers over a long period of time and the survivors assimilated into the greater Homo Sapien species until their distinctive groups no longer existed. Maybe Homo Sapiens were simply better at adapting/surviving in their environment so they won out in the end? Maybe the groups were mortal enemies competing for the same resources with one trying to enslave the other group(s) or commit mass genocide like we’ve seen in modern human history. I wish there was a way to find out what really happened but sadly I don’t see that ever happening since it was so long ago.
Nature does not acknowledge good or evil. It only rewards efficiency. I don’t know who said this, but it is very true. I imagine they slowly lost their evolutionary race against time and nature. We would like to hope that they were integrated as part of some other tribe.. but disease and resource competition would have been factors that decrease this Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this likelihood in almost all cases. We are a panicky, intolerant bunch as it is, and our lives are absolutely cushy compared to those of prehistoric cultures, in ways that I know we can’t truly comprehend. They were either bred out of existence, faced some plague/catastrophe (I feel that war falls under this category, too) that wiped them out, or they simply died out due to being naturally less efficient in gathering resources against competitors. I am more of a biologist than an archeologist, but my mom used to take me to CE classes and actual archeological dig sites with a legit archeology group as a young child.
I picture it feeling a bit like working a job for years and years, and the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this people you started with/were friends with slowly leaving, until one day you look up and realize you’re the last of that group left. Given the way we treat other humans from different tribes/races/religions/countries during war time, I don’t really like to think about how we might have treated other hominid species that we co existed with…Ok this may sound a little silly, but recently my bf and some other men in my life have been degrading and sort of teasing me about how long my makeup takes me eveyday, I know they don’t mean any harm by it but it’s honestly gotten to me. For context I do a full face everyday (I have a more goth makeup style so I go all out) which takes me on average an hour (This hour includes the skincare I do right before putting on my makeup) I do a full face with foundation, concealer, highlight, big winged liner, full smokey eye, mascara, lashes, and then more highlights around my eyes. Idk. I feel like im not taking too long? I feel like they’re kinda making a big deal out of it. how long should I be taking? Is an hour really that outrageous??You take as long as you want to and that’s no one’s damn business!
So true! As we learned during the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this pandemic, a lot of them don’t even wash their hands after they go to the bathroom. And speaking of the bathroom, you may not yet have experienced this first-hand, but it’s a thing with men to disappear for 30- to 45-minute poops. I think sometimes this may be due to extracurricular activities, but I honestly think sometimes they’re just luxuriating in some me time. So you take as long as you want! I’m sure you look beautiful, and not to be crass, but your makeup routine isn’t giving you hemorrhoids. As long as you plan so you’re still on time for things, what does it matter how long it takes? I bet your makeup looks fabulous! Keep doing the one hour routine and tell them to shut up!
My makeup application is part of my self care and meditation. It takes me way longer than it should for those reasons and I love it! During Covid and we weren’t leaving the Who Needs Santa When You Have Luke Bryan Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this house at all, I had no real reason to put on makeup. What I realized was how much the time I spent putting on makeup soothed my anxiety. It gave me something creative to do and something to focus my mind on. I missed it. It was part of my self care. Do whatever you want that makes you feel good—find men that support this Take as long as you want. It’s your make up. If you like it and enjoy doing it, it doesn’t matter if it takes you one hour or three. Young guys are dicks about this sometimes, like they think it’s super funny to make fun of how long girls take to make up. Just ignore it, they will grow up eventually.
