I just turned 50 today and I have no regrets about not having kids. I’m a nurse and have a nice life with my 2 guys who love me unconditionally. Kids just never were my cup of tea, ya know? I have friends all across the Who needs santa awesome dad he was born in april knows more than he says shirt and by the same token and country and I help run a couple of Facebook groups as well. My husband and I are in our 30s. We live in a HCOL area and haven’t been able to live on our own for starters, but this year we’ve been the primary caretakers for his grandmother who has dementia. She’s still very lucid, but has major sundowners syndrome (confusion in the afternoon/evening). As a result, we’re run ragged and can’t imagine having a child. We are barely hanging on with the stress we’re under and have come to the conclusion that, despite the appeal of children, we don’t handle this level of stress well and don’t want to risk lashing out at a child. We’ve decided being child-free is the best route for us. It still comes with waves of disappointment (on my end, at least), but ultimately we like having the freedom and extra money in our pocket.

I’m single, but I’m in the Who needs santa awesome dad he was born in april knows more than he says shirt and by the same token and second half of my 30’s and I am so glad I never had kids. Too expensive, too much work and I like being able to be spontaneous. I’m not, but I could be. I don’t really like kids anyways. I’ve been with my other half since high school, I’m now 32. We’ve never been married or had kids, zero regrets. Just thought of today of my 7-8 closeted high school friends only 2 have had kids. I don’t regret it, and I always said I’d have as many kids as I could afford. So I have none. Im only 24, but I so badly want to be father, but(again) I don’t think that would be the best decision for the child due to a couple of personal reasons, ie mental health and money. It wouldn’t be right for them and irresponsible on my part.
