There are other factors that are at play to move pricing of items, such as median labor costs, transport costs, gas being a major factor, corporate greed and record profits. If prices of things are going to double, without moving minimum wage. Then you’re effectively telling the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt but in fact I love this poorest group in America to suffer more, so everyone else has it easier. Increase their wages, directly proportional to real inflation, so they can afford an equal share of food and water, for equal labor as those in the generation before. Otherwide you’re just a greedy miser, who abused the ladder to wealth in your generation, and pulled up the ladder once you got up there. It’s a money grab. Corporations are making record profits. They jack the prices up more than the inflated business costs. Because in a capitalist system profits ALWAYS need to be higher than last years. So in order to achieve that prices are raised.

West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt: A Provocative Statement in Modern Fashion

That’s why raising wages doesn’t necessarily mean it causes inflation but rather, now that higher wages are eating into the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt but in fact I love this profit margins. The profit margins need to be adjusted- how? Raising prices even more I saw a great meme probably 3 years ago, it’s always sunny in Philadelphia but; “news flash, asshole, prices have been increasing the whole time!” Minimum wage increase is not supposed to cause inflation. It’s actually supposed to be the other way around. Problem is, business owners want to make as much money as they can so they simply say, “we’re paying you more, so now we have to charge more.” As the prices of goods go up, the rest of the market follows. Housing, utilities, etc. Minimum wage increases meaning inflation is a myth that modern capitalism has been pushing for years and I guess education has finally fallen far enough behind that economics isn’t getting that message across anymore. Believe it or not for 6 of the last 8 years wages have been increasing quite rapidly. So much so that almost no one is making the federal minimum wage. (Lots of reasons for that)
Right now we are in a situation where about 2/3 dollars that are currently in existence are less then 6 years old. The federal government went on a spending spree that put a drunken sailor to shame. Because eventually a drunk sailor will run out of money. . Raising minimum wage doesn’t cause inflation, an out of control economy does. I say this as someone who lives in Saskatchewan. Everything is cheaper in Alberta, yet the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt but in fact I love this minimum wage has been $15/hour there for years. Meanwhile, roughly 5 years ago, our minimum wage was like $9.70/hour. Edit: Meant to add that it’s up to $13/hour now, and everything’s crazy expensive. Some things (like alcohol) are actually double what they cost in Alberta. The minimum wage is basically just a floor but usually by the time it gets raised everybody is making well past that anyway

This is why they don’t want to raise the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt but in fact I love this minimum wage, people like you believing the propaganda that is shit like “raising the minimum wage will ruin the economy” Because companies used it as an excuse to increase their yearly profits. These companies are beholden to have ever increasing year over year profits. Which is unsustainable without innovation. They don’t innovate, they just fuck over employees and raise prices. Greed. It was always about greed and opportunity and a government keeping things remotely in order. The governments been neutered the greeds insatiable and every opportunity is taken regardless what the collateral damage may be in the long term as long as there are record profits in the short term and the party’s on who cares if the country has record suicide, record homelessness, and the birth rates dropping like a rock that’s an issue for whoever’s still alive once they’re done. Because it’s a largely a lie to keep the working class in check. Raising wages does cause inflation but it won’t destroy the economy like some brain dead capitalists would like you to believe.
Because of corporate greed. Go online and look at all the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt but in fact I love this companies you can think of and look at their 4th quarter revenue and profits for 2023. It will make you sick. There’s no shortages of supplies, or anything else otherwise they wouldn’t have record breaking profits for 2023. They are killing all of us because they CAN. Because it’s just a fear tactic to use on people. Similar to anti union tactics (if you do this good thing then you’re actually doing bad things and you just haven’t thought it through enough) Well then something happens where those 10 people can now afford them. That just means I have to raise the price again until only 90 people can afford them because I only have 90 of them Now let’s say five of them rotted while these people were arguing about whether or not they should be the person to get the Apple
That premise is made by the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt but in fact I love this wealthy fooling us with their many media outlets into blaming the poor for the insane inflation we are seeing when in actuality it’s them price gouging us through market and governmental manipulation. Well then something happens where those 10 people can now afford them. That just means I have to raise the price again until only 90 people can afford them because I only have 90 of them Now let’s say five of them rotted while these people were arguing about whether or not they should be the person to get the Apple That premise is made by the wealthy fooling us with their many media outlets into blaming the poor for the insane inflation we are seeing when in actuality it’s them price gouging us through market and governmental manipulation.
Minimum wage increase isn’t the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt but in fact I love this root cause, it just boosts the inflation adjustment because corporations and businesses aren’t going to eat the extra cost for having to pay workers more. No board or owner is going to willingly say they’ll gladly lose the thousands or millions a year on wage increase. They pass that cost onto consumers, so we pay more for the goods and services of those wage increases. People need to understand they need to stop crying about wage increases and demanding higher wages when the battle needs to he to drop the cost of living. Increasing wages only increases the cost of goods and service. Good example is where I live, they’re going to make a standard $20 an hour for fast food workers in April. You know what that’s going to do? It’s going to make it that getting a basic meal at a fast food place will be the same price or more than going to a sit down restaurant when fastood used to be $7 bucks for a meal Greed. Only two reasons for anything in this world. Someone is getting rich or someone is getting laid. Or both. That’s it, no other reason for anything.
Because it’s all a scam. Wages and inflation are just tools used to keep you in wage bondage. You don’t need to build a forced labor camp with guards if you can convince people to stay in one spot and do what their told. Of course, if they complain, it’s easy to pull their ability to support themselves. Litterally outlawing gathering food on public lands, selling off public water resources just to be sold back to our thirsty asses. Inflation is just a reflection that the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt but in fact I love this system is a scam that requires infinite growth or it will collapse. Growth at all costs is a cancer, and that’s what our economy has become. A cancer that grows and consumes but provides no real benefit for the host population.
It doesn’t cause inflation. Inflation is caused by the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt Additionally,I will love this Federal Reserve (for the dollar at least). Wages are SUPPOSED to rise to keep up with inflation. But due to anchoring bias they never do. Prices constantly go up (BY DESIGN!) but wages generally don’t. The whole “can’t raise wages blah blah inflation blah blah” is 100% grade A bullshit. Everything gets more expensive when inflation happens. Except labor, THAT is where the rich of the world are really extracting value from the working class. Wages have gone up. Not by law but by market demand. Basically the market caused what the law would not. That being said, it is not the only cause of inflation but is a big part of it. Raising the minimum wage doesn’t necessarily cause inflation. In fact, it can cause deflation if the job loss gets too high. Which is why it is such a bad idea Here’s another question, how is an inflationary currency good for us regular everyday people? If you ask an armchair economist they’ll say “Oh that’s easy. Inflationary currencies are good because it makes debt easier to pay off.”
How? How does it make debt easier to pay off? “Well inflation means the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt Additionally,I will love this money is worth less so there’s more going around and so that means people get… paid… more.” So which is it? Are rising wages a benefit of inflation or a cause? Because economists, politicians, billionaires and fucking pedantic assholes need to pick a fucking lane. There is a logical fallacy in your question. A implies B is not the same as B implies A. In fact it is not B implies not A. Please review basic logical reasoning before you continue your participation in society… You can thank Joe Biden and congress when Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the house. Much of the inflation is due to money supply which has been flooded into the economy by government spending and the stuff that was done by Democrats in the first two years of Biden’s presidency. It also doesn’t help Biden’s executive orders that essentially declared war on natural energy sources or the so-called green new deal. When the cost of energy goes up that impacts the cost of everything. Businesses are just passing on the costs to you the consumer in the form of higher prices.
It doesn’t cause inflation at all. It causes increased costs of production. Prices are always based off of cost of production. Inflation is the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt Additionally,I will love this decrease of the value of the dollar. This only happens from printing more dollars Because that’s a lie. Nations that require employers to provide all employees benefits and a livable wage have fast food that costs as much or less than what it costs in the US. That is not what creates inflation. Lack of recessions create inflation. They’ve held it off for fifteen years. This has never happened Trust me increased wages also affect inflation. Where I live minimum wage is $20 an hr and things keep getting more expensive. Aside from the fact that our wealthy masters seem dedicated to the notion of preventing such a thing from happening again, were we somehow to receive a minimum wage increase, they would almost certainly raise prices whether they needed to or not. People effective wages have gone up via credit card debt. When people spend outside their means, it’s effectively as if they had a higher salary. This can continue until people start defaulting on credit card debt – which appears to be starting to happen now. Because they’ll raise the prices to make as much as they were before they are retarded cuz less people buy instead of making a good sacrifice for the better of people for the cost of idk maybe a vacation home:( We have to pay for all the research done for self check outs , the machines themselves, and the constant updates
There are three people in a room sitting down for dinner. They each have $20 on them. The chef walks out of the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt Additionally,I will love this back with 3 plates of food. In this case, supply = demand, there are 3 people and three plates of food. Assuming $20 is a fair price for the food, everyone eats, everyone is happy. By magic, each person gets an additional $10 in their pocket. The waiter now comes by with 2 glasses of water. The water is not worth $10, but everyone is thirsty. Person A offers $1, but B and C offer $2. In this case, there is lower supply than expected. The cost of the water has gone up, because there isn’t enough supply to satisfy demand. Another poof of magic, and all 3 people are reset with $20 / ea. The waiter comes out with 3 pieces of cake and tells the diners that they’re $5 / ea. A & B are happy with that, but C offers $20 for all three pieces. A & B now tell the waiter that they’ll pay $10 / ea for the cake, and C goes along with it. The cake has gone from $5 /pc to $10 / pc. In this case, there is more money in the economy than supply can accommodate. We had DECADES of very low federal interest rates. Money was incredibly cheap to borrow, so people’s mortgages and car loans had lower interest rates than normal. This was all good until….
Covid lock downs. Industrial production came to a screeching halt around the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt Additionally,I will love this globe as governments locked down non-essential services. The existing goods in the market had the same demand for them, so prices started rising. There were only 2 glasses of water for 3 diners. Covid stimulus money. Governments around the world started paying people to stay home, through stimulus payments (direct payments), rent moratoriums (indirect payments), etc…. Those that are laid off from high paying jobs felt a pinch, but everyone making low wages, or those who continued working, suddenly had more disposable income, and created increased demand for goods. Since supply was constrained, it couldn’t meet that demand. There was now only 3 pieces of cake, but people had enough money that they were willing to pay more for cake.
Post covid federal spending. Spending bills pump money into the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt Additionally,I will love this economy in a multitude of ways, from infrastructure spending to entitlement programs. When the economy is struggling or shrinking, spending can help prop it up by injecting capital into the system and triggering domestic spending. This DOESNT trigger inflation, because in a slugging economy, supply can grow to meet demand. When the economy isn’t struggling, or the spending goes too far, production cannot increase to meet demand. We’re back at the cake scenario. Because it’s really just a line uttered by idiot “businesspeople” who don’t understand that there’s more to successfully running a business, or capitalism in general, than just minimizing labor costs.
One of the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt Additionally,I will love this big components was, and still is, supply and demand. During Covid, there was a huge shortage of things that people wanted and so they could charge more. If people are willing to pay it even when supply is back to normal, they will never lower the price. There are many, many factors. I’m certainly not well enough informed to explain it all, but like I mentioned – John Oliver covers it VERY well. Minimum wages HAVE gone up in many states and cities. Plus diesle fuel prices are ridiculous. You think the trucking company is going to eat that? cuz America is filled with a bunch of shitty consumers that don’t know how to shop and fail to realize the power (in unity) that they actually have over the market.
The whole raising minimum wage is a major driver of inflation has been and will always be a lie, or at the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt Additionally,I will love this very least a gross generalization. This has been proven time and time again both in certain US cities, and around the world. Prices skyrocket the way they do bc of corporate greed more so than min wage. And min wage hasn’t kept track with these prices going up anyways, so there’s really not even strong correlation at the most basic level, let alone causation Price gouging. They learned that they could do it during the pandemic and it continues. Something similar happened in 2008. Capitalism eating itself, the Utopia fantasy of solving problems through competition is failing, has failed.
Teople demand living wages CEOs tell us that’s not possible without raising prices, and to “prove it” they have been doing it arbitrarily to sway the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt Additionally,I will love this argument and keep us wanting. Some states did raise the minimum wage, so anything produced there would be affected. Plus covid shut things down, which affected supply chains which then creates inflation, and once they can make more on a product very few ever go down after the increase becomes normalized. They are going up. They don’t go up as fast as inflation because discretionary income isn’t the same for all earners and savings also moves when prices are rising. There are many factors, but wages are rising. Raising the minimum wage can cause some inflation, but what really causes inflation is government’s printing money and handing it out.
If not using seatbelts cause people to die in car accidents, why do people die even when they are wearing seatbelts? Look, inflation, is 100% caused by government spending and printing of money. The type of inflation they refer to by wage increases is not an across the West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Memphis Tigers Frisco Bowl Champions 2024 Mascot Shirt Additionally,I will love this board inflation. It is increase of cost of services to account for cost of labor. That is pretty minor in comparison to inflation we dealing with. Also that’s a sweeping generalization. The people in my state fought hard for, and achieved a progressive minimum wage that goes up yearly based on inflation. For some reason in the vast majority of states people don’t think it’s important enough to fight for a living wage, don’t ask me why. Because it’s ok if corporations raise prices, but raising your wages is communism as far as the GOP are concerned.
