Someone I’ve been with so long and has stripped away so much from my psyche that I’m convinced I won’t ever find another partner. To say they can make you feel less than worthless does not even come close when everything you do or say is randomly cause for an argument, your voice becomes muted because all you want is one good day without a fight. One single day without escalating things to bizarre or immediately life changing levels. Not once have I allowed it to continue outdoors because if I did, I know the first thing that would come is my neighbours seeing me as the threat and not her.

Really all I dream of is independence with my own job, money, home, life. With him its a daily twisting and never knowing what’s coming. I haven’t spoken to my son in 4 months. I know that’s his emotional pressure to get me under control again. My kid is my life and my despair is beyond unbearable at this point. I have no problem with men in a non-intimate setting. My physical therapist is a great guy, quite a good person. I enjoy talking to him. He reminds me that my person is not typical of men. For me, I’ve spent my entire adult life living a lie. I’m 52, we met when I was a teenager. A whole life I can look back on and not trust one day of it. That’s a little much to cope with, lol.
