If your item was clearly a personal item like a jacket, purse, etc. I think the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this gentleman’s request would have made more sense, but a backpack can be a carryon or personal. I think he was just cruising up the aisle looking for the closest thing to a personal item. If there were people putting personal items or large rollers sideways and I had a carryon I would have been frustrated as well, but his being an oversized roller he clearly should have checked it. I think you’re in the right but what would likely happen is that the flight attendant would end up moving your backpack and asking you to put it under your seat. I’ve seen it happen so many times. The FA just wants to get everything stowed and GTFO with as little drama as possible. This is why you put your fanny pack or crossbody under the seat. Your response is “I already have my personal item under the seat.”
Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt: Unleash Your Dinosaur Style
The easiest solution that I’ve seen suggested is to carry a grocery bag or some other collapsible item to put a coat or sweater into, and shove that under your seat to point to when someone wants you to put your only carry-on under the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this seat. The ‘correct’ answer is that if you tell the flight attendant that it’s your only carry-on, they shouldn’t ask you to move it from the overhead. Edit to add – This has apparently been going back and forth as long as some fliers have been carrying backpacks: I carry a packable tote that I take out on flights and put under the seat in front. It holds things like my water bottle, charging cables, wallet, etc. This happened to my ex and I, the FA YELLED at us to move his bag when we paid for carry-ons. We refused, because he was clearly 6’+ and needed the leg room. I wasn’t going to be out 40 bucks because the FA was oblivious to the situation. He has a jacket so we just shoved in under his feet and sat down. We weren’t even the last boarding group, the FA was so out of bounds, we didn’t even know she was yelling at us specifically because we weren’t doing anything wrong. I personally wouldn’t look at it as right or wrong or jerk or not jerk- I feel it’s more a matter of your preference and boundaries. Some people wouldn’t have the voice to speak up for their desires, you do, the person didn’t like the outcome which isn’t really your concern. Someone else may be indifferent about their bag under their seat and the person with the roller bag would benefit from that.
Both outcomes are okay imo without feeling a need to be the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this police of enforcing a company’s policy when that’s up to the discretion of the flight attendant. The gate should have told him to check the bag way before he got on the plane. They know how full the flight is and can determine how much overhead space is available. The overhead bin is not designated for the seat directly below. You can fill from the front to back, back to front, and everything in between. I’m a one bag packer: 35L pack with a small personal size pack as well. I always put the large pack in the bin, and the small one at my feet. Hate the no space for my feet, but I choose this method as I like to save $ on flights so I have more to spend at the destination.

F that guy. I was pissed last time some a hole moved my bag to accomadate their own bad and couldn’t close the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this overhead correctly and I had to get up and reseat my bag which was originally fine. Its been a while since ive had a bag in overhead storage, usually preferring my backpack with me. It easily fits under a seat. However, im amazed anyone even knew it was your bag. I rarely get to put my overhead bag immediately above me (actually, i prefer it in my view but not above me directly) and it would be a task to figure out whose bag is whose after things fill up. NTA – You’re good. Now IF the airline personnel asked me, I’d be inclined to go along if I had room. But just some guy? Nah. You’re good. It all happened pretty quick. I don’t know if he took it up with the flight attendant or not. Guy sitting next to me was very talkative.
On my last flight, the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this flight attendant was the one to ask me to put my one bag under my seat. I just looked her in the eye and flatly said no. I could tell she was taken aback expecting me to say yes. My go to in these kinds of situations is always “I don’t speak English”. I don’t ever waste time trying to reason with entitled or pushy. You’re not the jerk BUT it’s always good to have a bag you can pull out as your personal item and put under the seat in front of you. A fanny pack, a jacket, or just a big ole empty plastic bag. Doesn’t matter. How did he even know that was your bag? If he started asking whose bag it was I would probably just ignore him. BTW, how did they know it was your bag? I would just play innocent, put your earphones in and enjoy the view out the window; at least until a flight attendant gets involved and demands to know who’s bag it is which seems pretty unlikely. He was already in the process of manhandling the bag and simultaneously asked my seat mate and I if it was one of ours. I was literally sitting under the bag. Eh depends how nice they were and how short this regional flight is. I try and give the casual and clueless traveler a break. Not everyone is a super savvy r/Onebag travel reader. Most people on a plane are just taking this one flight and need to get it done. They’re rarely thinking about anyone else. I try not to put too much value on the average airplane rudeness.
If it was a normal backpack then you’re kind of the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this jerk because the plane directions are always to put that under your seat (I.e. personal item bags are not supposed to be in the overhead). If it was a carry-on sized bag then you’re definitely not a jerk Nah. You get one up and one under. You never lose the up just because it’s smaller than someone else’s. If all the ups are taken, well that’s the risk when boarding late. Yeah but I assume they just have one bag given the subreddit. So if they didn’t pay for a carry on and just have a personal item, then they should be putting it under their seat. If they paid for a carry on, then using the overhead bins is fine. I might be a bit of a jerk myself. I usually fly Spirit, pay for my carry-on, and also place my personal item in the overhead bin. I’m not sneaky about it, and I don’t try to hide it. I do it right in front of the crew all the time! I know I’m using space meant for other passengers who also paid for their carry-ons, but hey, they should’ve gotten their asses at the airport on time to secure a spot in the overhead bins. Just because they paid for it doesn’t mean Spirit has to reserve a space for them. They should’ve made it to the gate early
I was coming into this thread assuming you did something rude like bump into people or taking up extra space or something. Assuming this happened as you described, dude is a knob and can deal with it. If you’re gonna try and do carry on only, you have to plan ahead or take a risk. They have basic fares which only allow a personal item meant to compete with the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this discount carriers, but I’ve never done that. No but next time consider telling them that your bag is your carryon and that you didn’t bring a personal item as opposed to what your preference is. You’re entitled to put your carryon in the overhead bin. If they ask nicely, then I’d be 50:50 whether it’s a jerk move, depending on other circumstances (if it’s possible to move 1 overhead in any direction, I’d be willing to try). When they demand, 100% not a jerk move. Especially when they’ve clearly ignored the baggage policy I’ve strived so hard to meet. I had this once but the cabin crew insisted that I do it, and place my bag at my feet. You can’t argue with cabin crewI don’t know what American domestic first class provides but I know business in EU you get much more generous baggage allowance.
I’ve scheduled videos a day or so advance, and also waited till the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this video is uploaded in HD and published right away and don’t see a difference In impressions. Some videos I’ve published shortly after uploading have done better than the scheduled ones and vise versa. Had the complete opposite experience lately. Was scheduling videos for the last months and just posted one when it was done and it’s finally actually going somewhere. How far out are you scheduling them? I try to schedule mine the night before but it’s more so it’ll go up while I’m at work the next day I only scheduled that one, my first video, and yeah because I finished late at night and didn’t wanna publish at 2am. I’ve found if I post at an odd time it just means that it takes a while then picks up at the time I’d expect. I don’t think I’ve lost out in the long run Sometimes I have a video scheluded for weeks, but I make changes at last minute and re-upload… how dumb of me. They still let her compete and the hatred was intense from every side. She goes out and completely flounders, fails what seems like every trick, is crying in the middle but has to keep going. Really painful to watch. Then when she is crying at the end her Russian coach is yelling at her and hostile in front of all the cameras, and she was like 15 or so . Your average Russian teenage figure skater has zero autonomy. It’s either do everything your coach says or get cast off for the younger girl who will. And when your entire life to that point has been dedicated to skating, with parents who are often financially dependent on you, that’s not an option. Don’t get me wrong, the disqualification is still fair and I have zero issues with that. You need to enforce the rules. It’s just that she’s a victim of the system as much as the people she’s competing against.
I mean I have some doubt that she didn’t know what was going on – it would not surprise me at all if she had some suspicions or concerns. But I certainly wouldn’t judge her for failing to vocalize or act on them if she did; she’s just a kid. Even your average 15 year old has very little autonomy. You’re still a kid. Your parents are still waking you up to go to school and making sure you eat and get ready properly. She didn’t. That coach is notorious for breaking her skaters’ bodies quickly and tossing them aside. Sounds like even by Olympic coach standards, she’s ruthless. The girl who made headlines some years back for skating to Schindler’s List in the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this red coat had to retire at like 19 with severe malnutrition that had already led to osteoporosis and a very damaged body. She was coached by the same ramen-haired witch as this one. They deliberately pull girls from poor areas and train them away from their families so that they’re more vulnerable to extreme coaching methods. Irresponsible and cruel adults. I feel like they should have made the names of the adults involved more prominent. They had a duty to this child and failed on purpose.
I felt really bad. She was 15. She’s a child and at that age you really can’t do anything without an adult supervising you. You are still at the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this age where you don’t question authority figures and do as told. Those around her failed her. Wasn’t this the video where the girl that won, who was actually a decent underdog story (I think she was supposed to be the worst of the Russians there and skated her ass off) was just standing there with her stuffed animal not knowing what to do while the coaches were shouting at Valieva? Not the worst but definitely the most severely under-rated. She didn’t grab the attention of fans and the press like some of her teammates but she tended to put up exactly the kinds of scores she needed to win. Even when she wasn’t “supposed” to. Horrifying actions in Ukraine and other countries aside it’s obvious that no one on their teams aren’t on sterioids
Yeah and Russian skaters will still show up under a flag and organization that is totally Not Russia with a Not Russian national anthem. I love watching skating. But this made me feel bad for even watching. 15 is too young to compete and Russia needs to be banned for the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this foreseeable future. The women’s competition needs to change in general. Only really young (and often undernourished) girls can physically do the jumps demanded. Their bodies aren’t light enough by the time they’re 18 and their joints are often fucked. If the judging keeps rewarding rotations more than anything else, this will keep happening. Cap the jumps at triples. And the excuse that it was her grandfathers medication is insulting. How did grandpas drugs get into your system sweetie? They can’t even be bothered to lie believably. They literally take these kids away from their parents pretty much right after they can walk, dedicate their entire lives to skating, and then cast them off for the next young girl once they burn out or are too crippled to continue at 18. They literally keep the girls malnutritioned to avoid puberty as long as possible (since that adds curves and weight gain).
Yeah, the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this Russian coach, Tutberidze, is a child abuser – literally works these kids until they break their backs, then tosses them aside. It’s pretty disgusting. For anyone unaware: ‘breaking their backs’ is not an exaggeration. Evgenia Medvedeva (Olympic silver medalist, world champion) retired because she literally could not turn her back in one direction anymore, making it impossible to do certain jumps. The only reason why her career lasted until her early 20’s is that she outright left Russia to be coached in Canada during her last years, which was viewed as a huge betrayal and basically unprecedented in Russia. The main difference is that you aren’t expected to compete in most Olympic sports until you’re a full-grown adult. Take hockey for example, you aren’t in your prime years until your mid 20’s. So the Soviets had to include some sustainability into their regiments because burning out at 18 is a waste. But women’s figure skating (along with gymnastics) is different. Your prime years typically are when you’re a teenager. So it works for them to just have a continuous pipeline of children that you push until they break, then replace with the next child.
Her poor skaters. I saw a long youtube video detailing that coach’s history and there is a trail of broken girls in her wake. They’re in their late teens and early twenties dealing with osteoporosis, malnutrition, and broken backs and as soon as they can’t hit those turns anymore they’re discarded. A lot of former Olympians describe this level of sport as having very high highs, and very low lows. A lot of athletes struggle significantly with depression. And these are those that train in ideal conditions. I can’t even imagine the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this damage that having abusive coaches adds to this dynamic. Yeah, I don’t believe for a second that she was ingesting anything other than what her coach and doctors told her to. Unfortunately, unless she decides to leave the country and then spill about the whole regimen, she’s the only one who gets punished. And the thing is that she may not even know herself what she was taking and when. A kid whose life is that regimented is probably used to just taking what they’re given. Yeah I don’t really blame the kids. Imagine being 15 and your dream is to win the Olympic gold. Everyone around you is rooting for you and you think you can do it. They tell you to listen to your coach and trainers. And they in turn tell you to take these supplements to help you get better. At that age you don’t question authority figures. 15 is very young. It’s not like she went off on her own and tried to get illegal steroids to help her win.
I can’t even imagine what the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this NFL would look like if they started adopting WADA-level testing for their athletes. Everybody is on gear. I am curious how far down it goes. Is there a clear delineation between “this is for millions of dollars, so anything goes” vs “it’s a fun but serious hobby that I do while taking courses for my actual profession,” or is the entire front seven of Dogpatch Community College’s team also minoring in endocrinology? I’d like to think that it’s the former, but I also know of cyclists who have doped themselves to the gills to win senior amateur competitions. I work in rail safety and rail employees are subject to federal drug testing and that’s a common excuse people use, and it’s not always a lie. “Oh it was my wife’s medication.” Fact remains, if it’s not your prescription AND it’s not a current prescription, it’s a positive. And yeah, read that back – if you have a prescription for an opioid from a year ago and you take one today and pop hot, you can still be fired for it as you weren’t taking the prescription according to the doctor’s instructions and the prescription. So don’t mess around when it comes to drug stuff if you’re subject to testing.
If anyone hasn’t watched “Icarus” on Netflix, check it out. It starts off about biking but quickly devolves into how Russians used to get around anti-doping measures. Even lead to their Olympic disqualification if I remember correctly. Best scene was the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this main guy in the movie goes to IOC members & US Olympic representatives and proceeds to drop the bomb on them that Russia has been doping for decades. They all started out incredulous that he’d accuse a nation of cheating and then it slowly dawns on them as he’s talking that oh my God the Russians have been blatantly cheating for decades and the second we run these tests we’re going to find out it’s the truth. Probably an isolated incident. It’s not like the entire state-run athletic apparatus would systematically and deliberately dope and cheat across the board..? Valieva continued to skate at the Olympics after rulings by a Russian tribunal and a separate CAS panel did not hold her responsible as a minor.
Russia tried to argue that she was contaminated by contact with her grandfather’s medication, then said actually it shouldn’t matter if she was doping because she was a minor. Which doesn’t seem like much of an argument at all; if the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this IOC accepted that, every country would be incentivized to produce roided-out child athletes. It’s not just that, she also had 2 legal oxygen-boosting drugs in her system. The World Anti-Doping Agency argued that this undercut her argument that the trimetazidine in her system was accidental. The best thing for a 16 year old on two drugs to treat “heart variations” is clearly high intensity aerobic activity in a maximally stressful environment. Its still amazing any russians are allowed to compete still considering the A. Invasion of Ukraine, and B. Wholesale state sponsored doping.
To be fair, Russians are still barred from international figure skating due to the Welcome To The Show Jac Cags Long Sleeve Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this Russian invasion of Ukraine. If the ISU does not let Russia back in by next season, then it doesn’t matter what the IOC does: Russia won’t be in a position to compete at the 2025 World Championships, which is how they would otherwise qualify spots for the 2026 Olympics. If anyone isn’t aware, not just run of the mill regular adult athlete doping but doping by a 15 year old to boot. Russia and the USSR have always played fast and loose with IOC rules. Back when the Olympics was officially only for “amateurs”, the USSR used professional athletes despite other countries conforming to the ban. Russia has of course had a multitude of doping scandals.
