back when I was in high school, if you got caught ordering Doordash/UberEats to the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this school you were on the hook for a suspension. kinda makes sense that schools don’t want random strangers walking around the property. We would order pizza hut to the cafeteria because we couldn’t get through the lunch lines within a period and have time to eat. Same penalty, but the lunch monitors looked the other way if you shared. i wish the security guards were cool like that for me. those dickheads would take your food and then hand you over to the office if they bagged you I can’t speak for other schools or districts, but for the district I work for, unless the food delivery was planned by the school administration for like a pizza party or something of that nature, they would absolutely tell the delivery driver to go away, and would not let them in.
Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt: Embrace Your Uniqueness
Schools are supposed to be secure, which means no one in or out unless they have a legitimate reason, related to the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this business of the school, to be there. The school itself ordering pizza for a pizza party as a reward for the students is a legitimate reason related to the business of the school. A teacher or student wanting fast food for lunch is their personal business, and is NOT related to the business of the school, and thus is not a legitimate reason to enter the school building. If a teacher orders food for lunch, they could always wait outside and meet the delivery driver, which gets around this issue. Students though, if they exit the school building without permission, for any reason, that is considered skipping school, and they would be marked truant that day, and would not be allowed back in the building.
They called it a Lunch Box. And it was good. People put lunches in it. They carried those lunch boxes to school, and they were fed. They carried those lunch boxes to work. And they were happy. When I was growing up (IL, graduated HS in 2015), our elementary school had “hot lunch” where 1-2x a week a “local” restaurant would come cater lunch as we didn’t have dedicated cafeteria facilities, assuming your parents paid the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this check on time. The local McDonalds was one. Delivery to huge buildings/campuses where you have to hunt down people is a nightmare and sucks for everyone. There’s a reason most delivery drivers drop it off at the front desk/lobby. Schools/campuses are filled with no tipping, lying, and scamming kids, it’s easier to just block them all than trying to make a minor profit.
How I can buy this Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt
A girl at my kids’ high school had McDonald’s delivered by Uber Eats. She thought she was really cool (and apparently other kids did too). Not true. In Canada, kids had skip the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this dishes delivered all the time. We had to put in a rule saying no lunch deliveries (started during Covid, but the teachers didn’t want to give it up after) I used to deliver Jimmy John’s and we just went straight to the office and dropped off the food. Only for the teachers and the kids never saw us. What’s wrong with that? Teachers have very busy lives. Several reasons come to mind. As a former manager of a delivery-based restaurant, we used to take orders from the local high schools. We soon found out that the students weren’t actually allowed to order delivery, so we started refusing to deliver there unless the order was placed by a teacher or faculty member and delivered to the front office. It was a hassle delivering to students anyway. Aside from being against school rules, students often misjudged how long it might take to receive a delivery and if the driver showed up too late (after lunch period, for example), the student would most likely not show up to meet the driver. This wastes a lot of time for the drivers during an already busy lunch, and results in a lot of wasted product. It’s easier and saves everyone a lot of time and money to just refuse to deliver to schools as a blanket policy.
Is it only for certain delivery apps? My friends got McDonald’s delivered to our college campus a few months back Turf protection. Schools run their own racket that separated kids and their lunch money in return for awful food. Well, in the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this case of my daughter’s middle school, it’s because if a delivery person shows up they are denied entry, but not before the name on the order gets recorded and the kid and parent get a very angry message from someone in the office. It’s beneficial for a business to not get bad press in the regular paroxysms of outrage about children spending money on things that other people don’t like. Probably some combination of security and health standards in schools. Maybe sprinkle in a little jealousy from kids eating cafeteria food. When I was in middle school we had a coach that would order us pizza if we pooled our money together but we had to stop because other kids were crying about it. I was shocked to learn my son’s middle school accepts students ordering in pizza but I do hear it creates some chaos. As someone who does DoorDash on the side, I will not deliver to schools now after a year of nothing but bad experiences with it. With college students, it’s always insanely hard to find a place to park, then actually locate the student who placed the order (I don’t go to your school— I don’t know what “next to the quad” or “the sports dorm” is in your definition), AND college students tend to tip terribly if they tip at all. Just a huge waste of time all around. And then with k-12 schools, it’s very often students who are still in class when I arrive (time is money. No, I’m not going to “just wait 15 minutes!” until you’re out of class), and half the time they’re going against school rules anyway. They also tend to tip badly. So, it’s just not worth it to deliver to schools, like at all.
Lucky for me, a lot of restaurants— not just McD’s— have started enforcing this policy as well. One guy told me it was because students tend to leave bad reviews over really small, petty things (one time a student complained there were only two napkins in his order??) in an attempt to get refunds, as well as food orders often getting cold in the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this amount of time it takes to actually reach the student who ordered. It’d probably be a different thing if it was teachers and professors ordering, but that’s just too rarely the case. Also, in some cases it’s regulated by law. I worked in a school district for years. One of the things about our school was it was one of the poorest counties in the state. Because of that, we received extra funding to cover student meals. One of the provisions was that anything that would “compete” with the school food services were banned. We had to remove all snack vending machines because of this. There were also restrictions on school fundraisers that sold food (usually candy bars).
Causes driver wait time issue and causes issues for a school imagine ordering food for lunch and it arrives late or there’s like 20 orders which causes other issues Since when is this policy? I got mcd delivered to college when i was in undergrad and grad school all the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this time from 2012 through 2019… Our school had a no fast food delivery policy for students and teachers. A parent could drop off a bag, but they had to sign in and all that, even if they weren’t actually going any further than the front desk. Fast food delivery is a nightmare because they have to call students down from classrooms to get the stuff and sign it out to the kids. If it’s open at lunch, then it gets mobbed. Our students used to have parents and older siblings who would bring packs up at lunch for like 5-10 kids, which was still a lot. The one concession we made was whole pizzas being passed over the fence with no bags, so the kids would pool money and have little Cesar’s across the street bring over a bunch of hot n ready pizzas. Usually a worker would show be scheduled to end shift at lunch time and bring them across on their way out, for a tip of course. I delivered door dash for a while prior to COVID. One time I had someone have an order to a school, right as school was letting out. So cars everywhere, kids everywhere, and the only way into the school was through the parents pickup line. Took 30 minutes to get through the line, finally was able to get to the parking lot. Of course the office was on the other side of campus, walking the long way around because of locked doors. Finally get in there and they can’t get ahold of whatever staff member ordered the food. All in all, between driving to the restaurant, waiting for the food, and delivering it, it took me an hour and a half. Plus they didn’t tip. All that for $3. I assume I’m not the only one that went through this.
I worked at a mcdonalds in 2004 where we had an order for 26 mchickens and 25 quarter pounders with fries and drinks for an elementary school. Just finished making and boxing all this food before they canceled the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this order. Should’ve got the money up front with no refunds. Ended up handing it out to people stuck in traffic and employees helping themselves. McDonald’s took a big hit in the 90s for marketing to children; between the toys, the Fry Gang, and the playgrounds, it was pretty hard to deny. I’d bet this policy is probably them being overly-cautious in the wake of their rebranding. considering half the drivers probably have a court order not to be within 500 feet of a school, its just easier to say no to all orders from schools. I believe that many schools have policies on healthy eating which parents do not like, and this resulted in high profile cases where parents would deliberately order McDonalds to the school and pass it to their kids through the fence in order to pointedly contravene a policy they disagreed with. I imagine McD’s wanted nothing to do with this kind of controversy and so have just set a global policy to avoid being accused of picking and choosing.
In my experience, the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this school systems control what’s eaten there with an iron hand. I believe it’s about nutritional experiments to see if certain kids will turn out skinny/healthy vs. fat/unhealthy if they’re fed certain things as a child, in school. Being able to get anything that actually tastes good could ruin the entire thing. I’ve heard about a couple of instances where some assistant principal or SRO threw out a kid’s Lunchables, saying it wasn’t healthy. I also heard about a couple of school systems that bought out a local food stand because it was so close, the kids were going over there to get hamburgers for lunch. That’s going far, for something that maintains they’re financially strapped. They must want this very badly.
In the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this US, it’s so they don’t conflict with the school allergy policy. And because McBulletproof vests are expensive. Edit: and they’ve been sued for being unhealthy. Really? I had them delivered just fine when I still worked in Australia. This was through Ubereats though, if you mean the official delivery then I’ve never tried. Before the pandemic my kid and their friends were getting DoorDash delivered to bleachers during lunch and after school. Never to the building itself though. Luckily they deliver to the dorms. But getting your food gets dicey if you aren’t quick I imagine the disruption of a student saying “Mr Smith, I need to leave the class, my McDonalds is here” gets old really fast. Plus the delivery driver having to wait overly long for said student compared to delivering to any other customer
Speculation after working at a highly controversial company, but as another person mentioned: policy, PR, and regulatory concerns. Older companies understand very well, either through experience or bringing on experienced leadership, that doing anything with children is a surefire way to give politicians all the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this ammo they need to go after you hard for an easy win. South Africa. McDonald’s is the top take away order for my teacher colleagues for lunch lol. Must be a North American or European thing
Isn’t that the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this Olympic garden? Heck, show a picture of it currently, not from weeks after it was built. That building was purpose built for one thing and hasn’t been well maintained because there’s no more purpose. The US has lost its way. And may never come back. Priorities are focused on pointless countries, while our infrastructure is falling apart, homeless camps are everywhere, kids starving, and mental health is a huge issue, and drug addiction is a norm. But let’s print some money and help this country that has no real use, except for military applications. I don’t know if it’s still happening but didn’t China have that huge flooding where victims believed the CP were somewhat behind it? If you not invest you get nothing. If you drink oil you have nothing left for public transportation. Its not the fault of Biden, its that of the oil lobby and everyone who supports it.
America would easily achieve that if people and politicians stopped being at each other’s throats all the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this time. Unrelated thing I’ve been told to be mad about because I don’t understand the difference between federal spending and local spending, or how budgets work. The juxtaposition of these two images is disingenuous, but I guarantee “the rest of China” isn’t nearly as bad as OP has been propagandized to believe. “Here’s an arbitrary moment in time compared to another arbitrary (but completely different) moment in time at similar (but not equal) locations. This tells an entire story about 2 governments and you should accept my argument as coming from good faith even though the argument itself proves bad faith.”
Makes no sense. I’m sure that NY subways don’t look like that in general. It looks like some kind of catastrophe that occurred. And he’s comparing it with a subway in a country where that catastrophe did not. The irony is that the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this person in the image is the kind of person who votes for the representative who keeps the US in shit hole mode. Left is infrastructure bills in Congress Right is republicans killing them in favor of tax cuts to the super wealthy. I could easily show a high-end penthouse apartment in Manhattan, alongside a dirty slum building in Beijing. Or a new Jeep Grand Cherokee driving down a clean road in LA, beside a rusted out cargo bicycle on a nasty road in Wuhan. LOL. Do you think it would stay looking the same in NYC if it was built? The people in NYC have what they deserve. The state of US infrastructure is indeed a huge problem, but OP clearly wasn’t;t paying attention to which side proposes infrastructure spending and which side denies, over and over. Additionally Illegal immigrants don’t get free healthcare accept in the Right wing fever dream. Yeah we have a problem, richest country on the planet and in history but 80 percent of the country can’t feed itself. Hmmm? wonder what the problem is? But you go ahead and keep de regulating. Mega corps will someday begin to responsibly manage themselves if we gibe them enough chances… USA had massive lobbyism for the roads and public transportation always get the short stick there, because it is not about the peoples needs. in China they don’t like their roads getting used for more than economical reasons or tank driving, especially because they have way to many people they cannot stuff on the roads. Public transportation there are prestige projects because you can not only move a lot of people, but also show off and controll more.
This sounds like it was posted by a right winger. Republicans go all in on defunding public transportation. So it’s their fault. Very similar to russian propaganda where they compare cherrypicked worst spots in US cities, with junkies and garbage on streets shot during overcast weather, with cherrypicked best spots in Moscow, with stylish youth, clean german cars and historical facades shot during sunny summer days. How about you show westerners some random provincial towns/cities during winter lol 2019: China produced 2200 millions of tons of cement (and it’s all was used for their constructions. USA produced 89 millions of tons of cement. The difference in the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this pace and scale of construction is obvious. Although fools will continue to consider it propaganda
China is a hell hole. I know multiple people stuck there that are trying to leave but the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this government won’t let them. They are putting all kinds of preconditions on leaving and making those preconditions impossible to accomplish. One of my friends is an American there to teach English and they are doing the same to him. When they found out he wanted to leave, they revoked all of his official stays to be in the country, then told him he had 2 weeks to leave or he’d be put in jail, then made every means of leaving impossible. Blame big pharma, big oil, and corrupt politicians (like trump) for this. And if we don’t stop Putin in Ukraine, it’s only a matter of time before US troops are fighting in Western Europe.
It’s a right wing post. Have you ever heard a far right person say we have to invest in a better public transport system? And why is China a great example how we should build a country according to the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this right wing? Yes ok, but why are we sending billions to Ukraine and Israel every other week when I can be used for people in US. I’m sure that if the US state doesn’t send money to Ukraine and Israel and kicks out all the migrants, then the USA will shine in the most beautiful colours. btw – does that include all people/descendants who are not Native Americans? btw² – every American could easily donate – according to the Allianz Global Wealth Report, the USA has $272.264 in assets per capita. Ask this jabroni who are the people killing high speed rail and adding culture war nonsense to infrastructure bills. Miss me with this faux outrage. Nah, USA subways are disgusting af. Brazilian ones look really good and are way cleaner (not as fancy as that china picture in there but still) too, specially the newer ones. Unfortunately this type of propaganda is super effective on the masses. Some people can’t critically think for shit. Not really a facepalm. America would rather care for everyone else but their own then wonder why numbers are high in unemployment, high sickness rates including things like diabetes and obesity, poor food quality with chemical crap, poor education, poor transportation. Are they trying to hurt their people on purpose?
China is nice as fuck! Infrastructure is nice cities are clean… Americans thing all china is peasants and farmers. The people in the Welcome To The Prairie Oklahoma Home Of The Sooners Fanaticity shirt But I will love this comments supporting how great China’s infrastructure are ridiculous. A simple google search will show buildings collapse all of the time due to worker negligence. No, they’re kinda right about the first part. The US has awful public transportation that needs a lot of work. The 2nd part of their post is where they’re completely wrong. …wait. Russia had Gulags and look at their subway. China works undesirables to death and they have a nice subway. Is that what it takes to clean up public transport? You mean the 10,000 miles of high speed rail they’ve built since the year 2000? What else would you like to see to rub more salt in your wounded pride Tbf they had a point… kind of… until it got to the end. They were so close! Our infrastructure IS shit. Our money IS being wasted. They just aren’t pointing the finger in the right direction. They should, instead, be upset that out military budget is so obscene that they cannot “find” the funds to pay for anything else of worth. Comparing a nice place with a shitty place is a bad comparison. Let’s compare some shitty area of China with Detroit. I’ve always said this but America dropped the fuckin ball so hard after industrialization. We just continued to exploit our working class even though technology began advancing so much it should have lightened the burden on everyone.
