I like to check for trendy products on Poshmark, – for example Skims, FLL, Aritzia, Free People – just to get an idea of what they really look like. I survived my company’s round of layoffs today so I bought myself some clear soled Rick Owens bozo boots. super excited! I always read about how regular exercise is good for your mental health, but I don’t get it. I’ve been exercising at least 3x/week for the Vintage School’s Out For Summer Palms Tree T-Shirt besides I will buy this past 6 months, and I don’t feel any benefit besides muscular/cardiovascular. I don’t feel less stressed or happier or more stable. I stopped working out for 2 weeks due to RSV, and I didn’t miss it other than joint soreness. What am I missing? Maybe try a different form of exercise? Some people get off on competition (eg tennis), some people like to push their physical limits (eg heavy weights), some people like movement to music (eg Zumba classes) – and so on. If you have specific goals such as increasing strength, losing weight, etc then maybe they can only be met by a particular type of exercise program. But if you’re just exercising for general health, then it’s pointless to push on with something that brings you no joy. Try something different. Maybe something that requires a lot of mental focus, such as indoor climbing, would help in your case.
