So if we had healthcare paid for by tax dollars people who don’t work (because they are disabled or even they are, god forbid, lazy) are going to get free healthcare also. People would rather hurt themselves and their families than pay for someone else’s healthcare. First of all, there’s no such thing as free healthcare. Hospitals are not free to build and upkeeo, doctors don’t work for free, medications are not for free. Therefore, there can never be free healthcare. It’s just a matter of how you want to charge people and label it. “Free healthcare” means the government selling you a compulsary insurance package. Whether directly, or indirectly through taxes. Private health insurances are still very popular in countries with “free healthcare” as well. So people end up paying for two healthcare insurances.

This is why the USA is leading in medical research bc we can pay so much, due to our expensive healthcare. These low income healthcare options, elderly, and employers offer healthcare. There’s no need to slash a whole lot of people’s salaries. The bills you see online usually are before insurance. Insurance almost always covers a whole lot of the cost usually 80-90%. Also to add our taxes are lower than a whole lot of other countries. But our tax codes are messed up. The huge tax increase will rip out what is left of the middle class and it doesn’t matter we get free healthcare because, the tax increase overall will be higher than what we pay overtime. The upper class making a whole lot of money, won’t have to pay an increase. Working class will. There’s no point, what you hear online about healthcare is wrong, we have insurance and just about everyone can get their employers health insurance or government low income insurance. A lot of people pretend we are paying 10,000 bills for a check up which isn’t true. Usually it’s just $25 for an annual visit on most insurances.
