It does sound a bit like they’ve had a few flops lately in their clothing lineups though so I wouldn’t be shocked if this loss in valuation was at least in part related to that, as well as the Vintage I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink T-Shirt and by the same token and fact that a lot of target shoppers are the ones currently being hit the hardest by inflation (though most indications point to this being a price gouging issue than inflation alone) . I do a lot of my shopping at Walmart and I’ll tell you its NOT because I want to. You could talk about huge numbers being added to and taken away from market capitalization all day, it really doesn’t mean that much for a longer term trend. The right wing is gushing all over themselves thinking they have more power than they really do. The Bud light hate campaign seemed to go pretty well for them, so now they’re basically terrorizing Target. What a bunch of cancel culture, anti-free speech snowflakes. These big corps choosing this message deserve what they get based on the narrative they select. Don’t they have ppl who do market research?

I personally accepting of the Vintage I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink T-Shirt and by the same token and these communities but I will not be buying bud light or shopping at target. The population has spoken but again, why did they think these actions were acceptable? Where’s the research? I don’t care about a company as much as I care about how hateful and deranged people can be about LGBT people. It’s terrifying that people are getting SO upset and even violent. Makes me feel unsafe. Look at their history over the last year. It’s like vampire teeth. They’re been close to this multiple times before this tantrum. It looks like a good time to buy I like their Goodfellow brand, but I mean, big corporation loses money doesn’t exactly get me down or whatever. Ok so their shareprice is currently the same maybe a bit higher than Dec 22, if I look across the last 5 years I can see it is significantly higher than it was in 2019 but not as high as during the pandemic when a lot of major retailers saw “record profits”. Is this ‘they lost x billion profit’ the bud light wank on a different day? I mean, if you can read this you have access to the Internet and can look up when you are told something that sounds off. The corporate side is backing down in the face of a right wing hate campaign that has put their employees at risk. Ironically, if they were unionized, workers would probably train themselves in de-escalation and self-defense instead of letting right wing losers who get mad at rainbows bully the company. Target sucks. Now go try and boycott Costco or Trader Joe’s and it won’t be a success. Very strange that IT’s crickets about Walmart and Pride.
