I’ve been able to guess what’s vintage based on materials. 100% cotton body/lining, 100% silk, etc… are usually good indicators it’s an older piece. It’s not foolproof, though. On poshmark I tend to look for specific Madewell & Aritzia items. I’ve also had luck with vintage LL Bean/Eddie Bauer. I find a TON of reformation on depop that’s probably a little bit older or from sellers not reselling their personal collection for like $20-50 bucks! I just got two really pretty white blouses between $20-40 which would have retailed probably for around $100 or more!! Escada – I sometimes google search for escada in a certain color and size so they come up from a bunch of websites because these can be expensive but are so nice. I got a good price on one from Grailed.
