I’d at least ask for a title change without a raise. What triggered all of this? Management change at a high level or its a one off thing with ur manager? The whole thing about trying you out and letting you grow into it, really means you will be temporary in that position until they hire a cheaper replacement, or you accept a far lower rate of pay than the Vintage Classic 6666 1964 Cassette shirt but in fact I love this previous holder of that title. This happened to me. I asked for a raise. The GM looked insulted and said my low pay was job security. That’s when I checked out. You get what you pay for. Got myself fired soon after. There’s a red flag here which is that they involuntarily put you into a position without getting your agreement about the pay or responsibility in advance. In his case, they told him “after one month, you’ll get the raise.” One month came and he went to enquire about the agreed upon compensation bump. They said there needed to be more time. He told them that his last day was that day of the promised raise wasn’t effective immediately. Do you plan on doing it for six months then taking the experience elsewhere and making more? This is what I consider.
