same. I don’t understand why most people stay with post-pay services. The free phone every 2 years doesn’t really equal what you end up paying over that time. That, and I don’t really care about getting a bleeding edge phone. My last phone was $80, and I splurged a bit on my current phone up to $150 so it’d have 5g. They make their $ two ways. First, it saves them a LOT to have it be prepaid. No billing. No risk of people not paying and needing to go to collections etc. Those carriers use the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this major carrier networks but get lower priority. Prepaid plan also get lower priority than post paid. So these options are not for everyone, but that’s why they are also cheaper. This is true, but it really only ever makes a difference when at an event with thousands of people and not enough towers to cover. It’s not for everyone, but a lot of people are over paying for priority that they rarely or never will utilize. Great question – need to check that out. We have a fleet of 50 Fords that stopped providing telematic data, techs couldn’t call in because their cell phones didn’t work. The critical workers were given permission to install a t mobile eSIM which cost $16 a piece. You likely don’t and without it you have no contractual guaranteed uptime apart from maybe “if greater then 24/48 hours or 3-7 days” That’s for just one day of interruption? Google paid me a grand total of $7.70 for abusing my personal data for years.

University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt: Unleash Your Dinosaur Style

5 lines, 4 phones and a tablet, 3 of the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this phones paid off. Bill is still close to $300. So, $5 is barely worth it. No, not AT&T. Mint mobile which is on T-mobile network. I got an extra sim and 5g GSM alcatel wireless router too, so for 60/month I have 2 lines AND a backup/portable internet service. AT&T is a joke, but they do have prepay unlimited starting at about 30/month. Unlock your phone, and bring it with. FYI number porting to mint mobile can sometimes be a little tricky. I had a good experience parking my number with Number barn and then to mint mobile after I ran into a little snag. So you’ll get $10 in credits. Assuming you lost service for a full 24 hours (probably not) and that none of your $250 bill is from phone financing or other add on costs (also probably not) you’re at 4% compensation.
Well, see it fucked up his entire day, lost revenue, and had to do more expenses for his team that needed communication. If you think that’s not worthy of more than $5 than well, I just don’t know what to tell you. Then get a business line and put that into the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this contract. This announcement excludes business lines because those lines are entitled to whatever their contract dictates. If you have a business line and you weren’t made whole, you should reevaluate the contract to prevent it from happening again. So you are paid by ATT. Cool. Just say hey, ATT pays me to diligently vouch for them. It’s ok dude. You don’t have to pretend to be some just run of the mill person who was inspired by the injustices that a telecom company is currently experiencing by a disgruntled maggot who should feel jubilant about being fucked over repeatedly by a 120 billion dollar company.

Get a business contract, which states required uptime, max downtime length, and minimum levels of service. Failure to meet these requirements results in compensation from your ISP. Get a secondary provider as backup or load balance between them to provide a seemless experience if one provider has an outage Either of these options costs significantly more because you are getting a significantly costlier service. The service I operate runs at about 95% meeting response time SLA and 99.99% reliability. The cost for this is astronomical. Roughly 500 engineers and PMs operating in 4 separate timezones, with ~20 engineers on call at any point of the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this day. Reliability dip at midnight? We can have 10 engineers on call within 30m.
Our data centers are staffed 24/7 with security and facilities staff. Our backup generators are tested and undergo maintenance monthly. Our datacenters are provisioned to feed and water on-site personnel and keep the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this generators running for a month. All of this is expensive and doesn’t even touch the level of reliability and service an ISP does for entire continents. I, for one, hate AT&T with a passion that could possibly only be surpassed by a hatred of Ajit Pai and comcast. But it is literally your own damn fault if business critical systems go down because of a single point of failure, and it’s your own damn fault if you don’t get compensated for it because you cheaped out on your business account contract. The only connection that I have to this is understanding how businesses contract services from each other. My company isn’t going to compensate a customer who experienced downtime outside what our service contracts stipulate.
We only got $5 in credits. Not $10. It’s the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this same account. One phone is financed yes. The cramming (term professionally used to add on additional service fees and bullshit surcharges) over the last 15 years of service have negated my appreciation of the extremely precise reimbursement amount that I’m entitled to for an extremely annoying day at work (courier service with high volume that relies on GPS and POD confirmation). It wasn’t the lost time, the dispatch system relies on ford telematics, which rely on ATT as the service. The vehicles support maintenance work on major public assets. The vehicles couldn’t be dispatched for the whole time. So the actual lost cost is the number of person hours of standaround time, and the delays to the assets, because a vehicle couldn’t receive dispatch instructions.
We also lost business functionality during that time. But it’s not reasonable for us to ask a company to make up for all losses for their services dropping outside what our contracts dictate. Consumer contracts don’t have guaranteed uptime, so $5 for them is a courtesy. There is a reason that business lines aren’t included in this. It’s because you should already have contracted guarantees and if they didn’t make you whole through this, you should reevaluate your contract. I fully agree. I think some transparency would’ve been nice though. A failed software update caused the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this issue. Did they not think that the cut over would result in an outage? I don’t know, this is obviously not my specialty, there are people much smarter in my company managing the technology. I’m just the one that the team went to when the assets the company was responsible to maintain, couldn’t be attended to.
I still struggle to understand how or why so many people believe this bullshit. Who wants a trickle? It’s an insulting name in the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this first place for the consumer. To embrace this model is just so illogical I can’t comprehend. Ah who cares. I have yet to see a class action that even comes CLOSE to paying out what is justified for shit. Those and government fines for what amounts to peanuts for companies ripping us off or selling our sensitive data. They just sent me a apology message 5 minutes ago. Nothing bout 5 bucks off. What was their excuse why it went out and to prevent it from happening again? I was down for over 10hours. Non functioning smart phone with no data out on the water. They have yet to reply back from emails or answer chats. No text message saying sorry or replying back nothing..
For anyone wondering, AT&T had something like 241.5 million mobile customers at the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this end of Q4 of 2023. They made $71.3 BILLION in profit last year. $5 for each of those people accounts for just 1.6% of what they pocketed. 1.6%. Your point still stands but that is the gross profit which is before operating expenses are factored in. Their net profit for 2023 was 14.2B. American publicly traded corporations usually target capital gains (via profit retention and share buybacks) more than dividends because it’s usually more tax beneficial for most shareholders. Im not trying to defend a big corporation here, but who is expecting them to fork over 20% of their profits for a one time incident? They are giving $5 to like 200 millions people ? Thats almost 10% of profits. Not sure how many people are getting comped tho. My one line costs me $80/m with the upgrades I have on it, though offset by some of the “free” perks I would have paid for anyway. That’s $2.50 per day in spending. . .$5 seems more than reasonable for the majority of customers. I understand some gig workers may have had this cost them a greater effect, but let’s be real most people did not All I’ve seen in the messages I received and any news outlets are saying this is just a credit to the account. There’s nothing about being per line that was disrupted.
This is confusing to me, my message very clearly had $5 per line. I added my mother to my phone plan and my message said I’d get $10 off my next bill. Still a laughable amount but mine was per line. Perhaps it’s only per line for people that had multiple lines go out? I’m not sure why you’re getting downvoted because you’re close. I paid ~$140/month with AT&T on my own but my girlfriend added me to her family plan with 6 lines & I now pay $50/month for the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this same coverage. I mean, you’re exaggerating saying 1 plan is the same as an entire family but it is a significantly different price. My point is that your 4 accounts probably only cost slightly more than my one, so you shouldn’t get 4 times the compensation. Not a flex. Just simple math. “AT&T lobbied aggressively in favor of the 2017 Trump tax cuts, promising to create 7,000 new jobs and invest $1bn in capital expenditures if it passed. AT&T saved an estimated $21bn when the tax cuts passed and the company saved an estimated $3bn annually due to the lower corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%.” They can probably afford more than $5 per affected customer.
Well I’ll be damned. I didn’t realize I might’ve been talking to an eight story tall crustacean from the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this palezoic era. I was just surprised the article mentioned $5 when we were told $3.50. Everyone pays different service fees I guess. I don’t think we’ll get $5 for having just 2 lines. “It’s AT&T. We apologize for Thursday’s outage, which may have impacted your service. As a valued customer, your connectivity matters and we are committed to doing better.” It’s a quote from an Eddie Murphy movie, Trading Places. The wealthy Duke brothers gave their servant a Christmas bonus: $5. And I quoted the man’s response. I guess you’d have to know the film. But even in the early 80s five bucks wasn’t much.
This is the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this third time I remember this happening in the last 10 years. First time they’ve even acknowledged it for me. This sounds similar to what I got from Rogers in Canada in 2022 when they had a similar meltdown. In fact I think with the exchange rate Rogers had better compensation than AT&T. In Australia, we at least got a one off 100GB of data allowance from Optus to use in two weeks, after their 17 hour outage. Ironically the Optus network is so slow that there was no possible way we could have utilized 100GB in two weeks. File an FCC complaint. AT&T is obligated to respond to the complaint. You can ask them for compensation, they might give more than $5. I just received my apology email from ATT tonight, 4 days after it happened. I wrote back asking why it took them 4 days to notify me of the issue and to apologize for it. Terrible company that I’ll be looking to switch as soon as possible. We just switched to them in Dec. We were on a road trip on Thursday – We had needed service for maps and our audio. Fortunately I’m paranoid enough that o had downloaded the book and podcast wr had wanted to hear- and had a general idea of our route- but it was still anxiety inducing Ok so I was on the train to work on Thursday, cell went to no signal. Then like 10 minutes later I got to work. Pretty much the entire extent of my inconvenience was “I was bored on the train.” There are obviously many, many people who were far more impacted than I was. But at least for me getting $5 sounds like a pretty good deal.
They could give us 50% discount of our fees this month and still get profit but all they wanted to give is just measly $5. If you are traveling to places you didn’t know, if you need Uber, if your business needs lots of calling, if you are on a road trip, if you needs emergency, and others it’s certainly more than $5 of loss. There are dead spots all the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this time in peoples travel. That’s not unusual. Phones have been out of service before the invention of the cell phone. When it is out people just call back. Not having it there when an emergency sucks. 911 works on all phones regardless. If they don’t have phone service. Nearly all phones now work all carriers. Thousands of phones are given out to domestic violence victims as backups if their situation gets to tense. They need to reach authorities. Better than what Australia got when Optus had a network outage that costed a lot of small businesses a lot of money
25 more repliesI reached out to set up my wifi calling because it wasn’t something i have ever used prior and when I went to use it I kept getting a bad gateway page and I have a newer iPhone so this was confusing. I was complaining a bit and they gave me a 40$ credit HA at T-mobile we get breached and our data is compromised once or twice a year. Don’t even get notification till a few months after and all we got was a banner on your home page logging in. Me- i used a gps and online music to get here so im good… yeah there is some news articles about it. It shouldn’t be a set number, it should be the amount of time affected plus provable impact to income. If you make money using the service, like UBER, you should be recompensed the average take home pay of the day you lost income. Does anyone think we’ll ever get to the point where us plebs can create our ownnnetwork with our own satellites We need to break up these telecom and cable companies. Worst services, worst prices, and constantly taking tax dollars for improvements that never come. Nationalize
It’s almost like making the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this working environment legally precarious and financially unrewarding for OB/Gyn docs could have an impact. Guys, no worries. In The Handmaid’s Tale, there were no on-gyns, just midwives. And in the Quiverfull movement, all births are supposed to take place at home with no medical intervention anyway. So it’s all going according to plan. Besides, at this point most obgyns are women and they’re all going to have to quit when women aren’t allowed to work anymore, just like with the Taliban. I wish this were 100% tongue-in-cheek. I do think that c sections and epidurals will be outlawed. We are, after all, supposed to suffer through childbirth like the Bible says. I mean, since the beginning of time, women have been trying to reduce the pain of childbirth (witchcraft, if you will) for each other. Weird that Republican women want to make it harder. It’s like a species evolving in two different directions right now.
Have you been to an Evangelical church lately? Salem Witch Trials of old were quaint in comparison. FOX News hysteria is preached from the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this Pulpit. “Joe Biden holds our nation over the fires of hell by a slender thread. Hunter Biden has a demonic big penis!” …. And before anyone starts with the “not all…” bullshit. Yes all. The whole fucking religion needs to be tossed in the trash True. Though I was thinking about the birth itself. I don’t think there were any ob-gyns at the birth, just wives, aunts, and handmaids Spoilers: The male doctors stay out of the room unless something Goes Wrong. If the Push ritual doesn’t work, Handmaids get a c-section in the living room Well, those incubators are replaceable, right? Just get another. They are all the same: white hood, red robes, subservient purpose. It’s complicated, and the show has more time to explore it than the books. They’re respected professionals, and use c-section style screens to avoid looking at the women they’re examining. Early on, when Offred’s at risk because she’s been unable to get pregnant, her OB/GYN suggests that her Commander might be infertile and offers to impregnate her. It’s ambiguous about how much of this is a genuine attempt to help, or an attempt to take advantage of her, the scene serves to play up how Offred’s isolation means she can’t trust offers of ‘help’ In the TV show, there’s a male OB/GYN in Gilead who’s shown to be dissatisfied and willing to take risks for his patients, but not a full-ass rebel. At one point he helps smuggle an experienced female OB/GYN into the hospital to help a patient. He is shown to respect her as a professional, and expresses dismay for the fact she’s been kicked out of medicine and enslaved. But he’s not in a position to Change the World, he’s just trying to do the right thing in the moment. Most recently, the TV show has Serena Joy, a Gilead fundamentalist was held captive by Canadian Gilead-fans, for complicated plot reasons. They introduced us to a Canadian OB/GYN who’s also a huge Gilead fanboy. The show emphasizes that he’s academically educated, but shows he has little concern for women’s welfare and treats them more as revered baby-incubators.
Seems strange and disingenuous to randomly point out men started the University of Northern Iowa Let’s Hear it for the Panthers Basketball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this field (of which they will only ever have an outsiders’ understanding, btw) without mentioning that women were literally not allowed to attend medical school at that time, + they had already been working as midwives well before the subject was added to medical school curriculum but had their knowledge dismissed due to their gender Are you talking about the guy who found a way to fix fistulas by experimenting on enslaved women who were not given any anesthesia? Dude, there are a lot of examples of people doing shitty things to other people. Doctors are no exception. That being said having worked with many doctors over my life I can confidently say youre crazy if you dont think the average doctor is generally sympathetic to women and usually prochoice (most doctors are prochoice even if religious because they know thst a large number of medical conditions require an abortion merely to save the life of the mother) If a woman dies in childbirth, that’s just all part of the holy gawd’s plan! Blah blah, original sin, Eve and that darn apple.
