I was a duty manager at Paddington and as long as they weren’t being a nuisance, we’d let them sleep inside on the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this benches. They’d be offered food from the cleaner who would dispose of the retail units left over stock. Nike juvenate were the most comfy shoe and lightweight ever. I was heartbroken when she stopped them. I should have stocked up on these. They were like walking with socks on. Asics Gel Nimbus 25, ever since ive got its the only shoe i wear, heard they released a 26 recently but havent tried NMDs at #1 and yeezy 350 v2 at #2 for me, yeezy is actually more comfortable but my feet start to ache a bit after a long day of wear, with the nmds the boost is firmer but i could go all day with no problem, and the upper has more space for my wide feet. Had 2 pairs and i both wore them to absolute death, my last pair had actual burn marks on the sole when i took them on a hike. Cant wear them anymore because they bottomed out and its like walking on rocks. Thinking of getting another pair

ultraboosts > yeezy 700v2s>>>> nb > everything elsebut homosexual means same, is it like trying to put both batteries in the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this same direction or something? The opposite of wanting to date is not wanting to date. If you want to ensure a successful relationship, your best bet is to ask out a partner you’re repulsed by. Well according to the science, if two people are a twosome and three people are a threesome, I know why they call you handsome. You can save time by using one of those incredible games where you put 2 names and it tells you what % match you are Because the opposite of you died 3 years ago, you missed out. I’m sorry, that really sucks. Life sucks for a lot of individuals to which this has happened. I know it is not a great comfort to you, but okay, I’m done. You are clearly the next step in human evolution which puts you parallel to the whole of baseline humanity including women. You aren’t an opposite, you just are a different more evolved species. That means you are the “Whole package”. The opposite of the complete is the nonexistent. Enjoy your superior loneliness Perhaps you should start contemplating the fact the you are a neutron since opposites attracts only works with positives and negatives.
Opposites attract. You are single, so you need to start hitting on women with boyfriends. Trust me, nothing bad can happen and your teeth will fall out anyway when you’re older. Take it as a blessing in disguise. You’re free. You can do whatever you want otherwise and have no one to yell at you for fucking up, no one to blame you for not spending enough time with them. No one to pry you from your friends (if you have any). And if not, whatever. Thing is you can be a different person everyday. But when you’re in a relationship, it just needlessly complicates life. Trust me, getting tail ain’t all that it’s cracked up to be, especially if/when they get pregnant. Trust me, don’t simp yourself. Focus on you and when you’re successful some succubus will come around and gladly take the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this money you earned, if that’s what you want of course.

Because you’re negative and trying to pull negative partners. Need a positive partner to get that attraction going. Because you are not magnetic with clothes on, you need to take them off and get out there, surely your naked opposite is out there doing the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this same. You need to be proactive man! That whole opposites attract thing that’s just for genetic diversity. Mixing with someone that’s genetically different than you is better for the offsprings. For life long pair bonding you will need someone who has similar interests. I would caution you against looking for your opposite, despite what my fellow redditors may say. I once knew a man who found his opposite, and when they first collided in a hug, they actually annihilated producing energy equal to their mass times the speed of light squared.
Whoever told you to look for your opposite is clearly trying to either murder you or is simply themselves misled.Yesterday my final class got to pick my newest puppies name. I told them if their test average rose at least 25 points, from 53 to a 78, I’d let them name him. And they did it, just barely. Average was 79.2. So on Monday, before the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this notes, we had a big class vote where they each got to make up a name (appropriate only of course) and everyone voted on their favorite. Top three would go to a second round of votes. It ended up being between “Joe Biden” “Skibidi Toilet” and “Stone Cold Steve Austin” (Austin was the name of a student who helped pull through and got a 98 on the test). Whole process took about 10 minutes out of our 80 minute class. That afternoon, I gave my puppy a dogtag, Steve Austin the German Shepard (Shortened it for obvious reasons). Everyone was happy. Or so I thought.
Come today to see an email from a parent, my admin cced, reading “Hello. I was told you wasted my child’s valuable time in your class forcing your students to name your pet. This is extremely inappropriate and irrelevant to his math class. I demand an apology is issued.” Admin told me he’d see what can be done and for right now not to respond and see if he can deal with it. Hes a great admin. I hope he can. I wanted your guys advice. Do you think what I did was inappropriate? I’ve been very conflicted about it all day. This is a charming and adorable way to motivate your class. That parent is a joyless douchebag. I say count up the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this votes, create an excel document with a bar chart. Have students calculate percentages of who voted for what. Have students do simple math to figure out how many less people voted for Biden than Austin. There’s no reason it can’t be a simple Math lesson… and the parent can suck it!
Um, all you did was math. You counted votes, did averages (the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this test), you did a second round of counting votes…… the entire thing was math related and fun…….. completely agree, the parent is joyless and a douche. But then I had a parent complain his child didn’t think my class was fun anymore and it was making her sad to go to school. So you literally can’t win. I would add, “As in any democracy, no constituent was forced to vote. Students were free to abstain. Thanks for your interest!” Yes I would send a snarky response saying something like “in the future I will not build relationships and let students rely solely on intrinsic motivation.” But I’m bitter. Yes! I have the talent for turning almost any lesson into something that needs a standard somewhere. Sometimes it’s a big stretch but I can usually make it reach. I totally agree. OP did a great job. They also learned about averages, and how averages can affected by outliers (for example Austin’s 98 being key). Same. I even did this with an ice cream party back when my sister worked at Cold Stone. My students had to put in WORK to earn that party…it was before Covid/the Lazy Student Era, though. My trouble is I always want to respond back to things like this. It’s so hard to just hit delete and let it go.
I’m petty enough that I would print it out and frame it (identifying details removed of course). Just ignore it, I’m sure the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this kids was stoked and they mentioned it to Mom. That parent is insane. You had a fun bonding moment with your kid. Parents who think that teachers shouldn’t be human should just homeschool their kid with the AI curriculums that are out there. See how well it works for something to “just teach your content” I don’t know what subject you teach, but I see Math and Government and Animal Science and Sports and English and ESL all in that one activity! Good on yer! I hate to go against the grain, but I have to side with the parent. I think you should procure a medieval scourge and do penance by whipping yourself shirtless on their front lawn. Crawling on all fours and kissing their feet would also be a nice touch.
I mean…tallying up votes and interpreting the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this data in a table/data chart is an important mathematical concept, so you were practicing real world math skills. I see no problem with this. I wouldn’t even respond to the email, just forward it to admin. And who are you going to apologize too? The students enjoyed it and the parent wasn’t personally affected. If I had tenure and got an email like that, I’d be extremely tempted to just respond “lol no” with my auto signature, and then never respond again. I don’t recommend it, but man that parent sucks. I’m sure there are some SEL standards there. And possibly some social studies standards. Cross-curricular and all that. I bet that kid came home super excited about what they did in class. And there parent was all mad because there shouldn’t be any joy in life. I’m not a teacher. I am an Australian and I loved 99% of my teachers (except for you, Mr Brakewell, you bullying bellend!) What a great way to bond with your students! Part of being a great teacher is building relationships with your students! I am going to continue creating a positive, pleasant, learning atmosphere in my classroom so if you have an issue with that you may want your child transferred to another teacher.
No you motivated them with a tangible reward that was authentic and had positive impact on their learning. Screw that mom. Awwww, that is so sad. That kid enjoyed your class enough to actually go home and tell their parent about the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this fun bet you made with them about your puppy. Do you know how RARE that is, that a kid comes home excited to talk about MATH CLASS? Do you know how much most parents struggle to get any details out of their kid about what they did in school? It’s like pulling teeth to get anything other than “fine” and “I dunno.” And instead of being happy that this fun class activity greased the wheels of a positive parent-child interaction, the parent instead decided to shit all over them AND you. They could have been like, “well damn, I just had a positive interaction with my adolescent child where they willingly volunteered information about something they did in school that day! Thank you, math teacher, for facilitating this parenting win,” and patted themselves on the back for surviving another day of parenting a teenager with their relationship intact. They could have responded warmly, to show appreciation for their kid opening up to them, and used it as a springboard for future conversations about school. But instead, they decided to be an asshole about it, likely embarrassing their child and making them regret even sharing anything in the first place. I am seriously so bummed for that child.
Dollars to donuts, in a couple months, this parent is going to be complaining that their child never tells them anything about school anymore, and wondering why in the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this world that could be…. “it does have to do with math. Their test scores went up 26% on avg because they were invested in their achievement. My teaching methods led to massive improvement and student success. I won’t apologize for being a successful teacher. I see nothing wrong at all. You did a great job getting the kids excited about raising their grades. I don’t see how this is any different than promising a pizza party or extra recess. My ESL students several years ago named my cat. They named him Oreo. One of my students who came speaking no English at all then joked around with me, “Miss, I eat Oreo, I eat your cat”. I thought this was pretty clever. Not only is she joking around in her third language, but she caught the connection that you eat Oreos, and that eating cats is not something normally done. So it became a running joke between us. Oreo was a tuxedo cat so the name fit him well. So then my next cat became Cookie. And apparently Oreo was male and Cookie was female and so then Milagro was born, which is a whole Nother story. But I love how naming my cat became a running joke with this little precious English language learner student.
Here I thought this was going to be a tale about not letting your students name a pet and then a picture of “Skibidi Toilet the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this German Shepard” looking sad. I’m glad I was wrong LOL Sounds like admin have your back and you connected with students in a really fun way. As a parent, I’d be thrilled to have you teach my either of my kids. Ummmmm, taking TALLIES (to vote for a NAME)… is literally a math standard… and it was an incentive for testing? Obviously, it did the trick since your class jumped! Don’t stress it. I would just ignore it, or tell the parent, “sorry you’re so shitty” And I’m fairly certain that is not what the child went home and told their parent. They were probably all excited about something happening like this in school so they shared something along the lines of “guess what?! We got to name the teachers dog today!” Only for the parent to turn it around to this bs.
“It absolutely was relevant to the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this class. I understand not everyone understands the education process. Incentives provide motivation for students to develop their skills. In the case of mathematics, I desired a twenty-five point increase in student performance. My hypothesis was that being able to name my pet would motivate students to try harder on their exam. As you can see by the naming of my pet, the incentive was successful. So while voting on the name did take time away from some direct instruction, it delivered a positive change in the students. Research is done on effective classroom strategies. Again, not everyone receives training in the education process and may not fully understand the dynamics of learning. I use research based practices in my classroom that are proven effective. Please do not hesitate to bring further concerns to my attention.”
Yes, math should only be theoretical and what’s going to be on the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this state test. Students should never apply math to solving real world problems—or, ye gods—have fun while doing so. What a waste of time indeed. I would not apologize. Admin said to ignore it. If later they decide you should respond, it shouldn’t be an apology, but a clarification. I’m certain that you can cite a state standard for that bit of your lesson to prove it’s relevance. It was also incentive for the students to engage in the material. I’m relieved for you that you have a good admin. So many of the admin that I have known will push you to “build relationships” with your students to increase trust and learning, but then turn on you when you actually do. What a great way to notify and have a decent relationship with your class, I don’t see how such a creative incentive is a bad thing?
That parent is ridiculous. Anyway, you were teaching them the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this practical application of averages and how outliers can affect the overall average. Jesus fucking Christ. That bitch needs to get the stick out of her ass and have a little fun! They’re children, not robots! If you aren’t here…. Maybe it’s a culture thing? I know some Asian cultures are very hardcore about education. Now I want to see an apology letter where you include German Shepherd Stone Cold Steve Austin at least 5 times. Math teacher here as well. What an amazing motivation. This is soo Math: average, point increase, at least 25 points and if you do this in Google Form and show the other metrics. I remember letting my students vote who would win the World Cup and the NBA Finals in 2022. Thankfully nobody complained. I explained we would use the data for later lesson. You provided them an incentive and they rose to the occasion so you followed through, giving them something that I’m sure they enjoyed doing. That parent sucks ass. I’d be petty and send a photo home to each student with a little note that says “thank you to everyone for helping me name my new dog.” I would literally send back a one work email. No hello no signature just the word “sorry”. And call it a day. Haha. I don’t have time for a parent’s shit like this.
Good for you! At the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this end of the month I am letting the students decide what to shave my beard into. I hope a parent says something negative! I think the 10 minutes that you spent was fantastic! Unfortunately you’ve just got a child in your classroom who has a miserable parent. I bet that student who has to go home to that parent on the daily would be on your side too. Let the admin handle it, and keep making your classroom and enjoyable experience for all your students. This is a great motivator! I would allow my class with the best improvement to choose my next hair color. They go CRAZY for it!!! You did nothing wrong. This parent is a killjoy. For context, I have the inside of my hair bleached and colored so from the outside it looks normal but on the inside (around my neck), you can see the color. It’s tame enough for parents but “wild” enough for the students to care.
I regularly let me my best class vote for my new hair color z[we’ve done green, blue, pink, and purple thus far] Wipe, this adults kid was trying to shatter something fun about school and bond with their parents and this is what they did. The point is that they pulled their average class score up big time. Id really want to send them that and be done with it but it probably is best not to respond I was just reminiscing about an old teacher I had in middle school who would play Sweet Home Alabama and let us bang on the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this desks every Friday. Keep doing cool stuff, your kids will remember it fondly I promise I once apologized to a parent and told her that I would keep in mind that she did not teach her child to have a sense of humor and would not joke in his presence. I hope they find a hobby, it sounds like they have too much free time and mental bandwidth given their concern over something so harmless. Ahaha I think this was supposed to be posted under r/millennials. This is peak millennial parent… nothing wrong with what you did – you incentivized getting their grades up. You can tell her it was about data collection some parents just don’t know how to have any kind of fun! I like to be silly with my students sometimes. It’s how you build a relationship with them so that they want to learn from you.
Great teaching on you! I used to use lots of fun motivators, and this is classic. Some people need to get a life and pull the Undefeated 13 0 2024 Big Ten Conference Champions Oregon Ducks Shirt Furthermore, I will do this stick out of their bum You remembered your why. Maybe that parent should remember theirs and worry about doing their job instead of trying to tell you how to do yours. Not sure what grade level you teach, but I would tell the parent that this was a math lesson involving graphing poll results. At least that’s what I do when I let my students vote on naming the class pet! Send back a meme of stone cold Steve Austin chugging 3 beers captioned “after dealing with parents 8 days a week” The class brought up their test scores in hopes of receiving an award. You motivated them and gave them incentive to do better. They followed through, so did you. They were rewarded for their hard work. Fuck that parent. As a teacher with a betta fish named Stone Cold Steve Awesome, it’s a great way to create classroom community. I frequently talk about my dog during class and recently brought him out to meet my students. This parent is an ass. Carry on being a great teacher! your students were practicing communication skills, consensus building. Those votes are data gathering and analysis. There was lots of relevant learning, even though it wasn’t a formal lesson – in fact, I bet this learning will stick with them far longer than any lecture would! It’s called building rapport and a part of our expectations. Also like… it had to do with percentages and… addition technically? Do you have speaking and listening standards? Sounds like they collaborated to me.
