I was just scrolling through IG and saw a satirical post by a DN in Mexico City that was making fun of the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this DN lifestyle. I looked through the comments and local Mexicans were excoriating DNs. Some of the comments were absolutely appalling, like wishing that drug cartels would murder them. You would think DNs were down there molesting kids with all the hate that is directed to them. I get that in certain DN hotspots there may be particular areas that become popular with them that got more expensive. And apartments get converted to Airbnbs and restaurants and cafes open that are considered too pricey to locals. I understand how it can be disruptive at a local level. Of course cost of housing is going up all around the world in general. In Canada, the US, Australia, Singapore, UK, etc affordable housing is becoming more difficult to attain for locals.
Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt: A Unique and Creative Design
At the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this same time, I think the world has just seen a lot of global inflation the last several years that is effecting everyone whether their city is a DN hotspot or not. Everyone has seen prices going up faster than wages since the pandemic and naturally people are freaking out and angry about it. But I think this is causing many to scapegoat DNs. Not that DNs may not contribute in very specific areas, but I suspect that when compared to global inflation, the DNs contribution is negligible to a country on the whole. Yes, I get that if you were living in a very specific place like Condesa or Roma Norte in Mexico City, you were disproportionately effected by DNs. But I doubt people living in the hundreds of neighborhoods in Mexico City that tourists never visit are being effected by DNs. And that’s probably 95%+ of Mexico City.
Americans and Canadians have been retiring in Mexico for decades. In places like Lake Chapala, San Miguel de Allende and Puerto Vallarta for instance. Though they may not be DNs, they are still bringing buying property and living cheaply because they get a pension in foreign currency. I don’t remember hearing people calling for the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this deaths or making life hell for locals. Or maybe they were and I just didn’t know about? But it seems as though nobody really had much issue with this stuff until after the pandemic. Which is why I think maybe it’s the rage about global inflation being channeled into hatred of DNs. Since more countries are offering DN visas, I’m inclined to think that if they were harmful to the economy then you wouldn’t see more and more governments offering these. But I’m open to persuasion around this topic.Realistically there aren’t enough true DNs in any one location to actually impact the macro-economy of an entire city let alone country.

Not unless you consider all expats as DNs, and even then it’s usually only an effect on certain neighborhoods in certain cities. Realistically there aren’t enough true DNs in any one location to actually impact the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this macro-economy of an entire city let alone country. Seriously do you think it’s locals who are eating at all of these boutique cafes selling vegan smoothies for $8? Canggu for example has definitely been impacted by remote workers significantly. – The influx of DNs is less controlled, faster, and/or unpredictable than retirees so the community does not have time to meet demand. – DN housing is inefficient as short-term accommodation has a higher vacancy rate, so it may take double the amount of housing to meet DN demand versus retireees. – DNs are not invested in the local community as they do not live there long term, bringing associated problems. However I see DNs being a catchall for all of the problems that come with the increase in tourism generally. People are able to travel more than ever and places are becoming worse because of it, it’s unclear to me what % is attributed to actual DNs. From my conversations with locals, nomads and expats. The majority of negativity is coming from expats and other nomads. They’re projecting their own insecurity.
Is this universally applicable (you’ve had this conversation in multiple countries)? What are the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this reasons each demographic gives for negativity or positivity? DNs are good to the economy, they bring money, bring business to local businesses & spend more in the local economy. The caveat is the following: Not all locals benefit from that. The ones who do are the ones who own businesses, landlords, and people who cater to DNs (tour guides for ex). What this means is, overall, on average, that local economy will benefit, but it will also increase inequality, rich locals will get richer, many poor locals will get poorer due to increased COL. DNs are good to the economy, they bring money, bring business to local businesses & spend more in the local economy. The caveat is the following: Not all locals benefit from that. The ones who do are the ones who own businesses, landlords, and people who cater to DNs Assassins and drug lords are good to the economy, they bring money, bring business to local businesses & spend more in the local economy. The caveat is the following: Not all locals benefit from that. The ones who do are the ones who own businesses, landlords, and people who cater to assassins and drug lords
I think this is the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this key observation that actually can be used when discussing economic growth and GDP which are macroeconomic terms. Influx of foreign capital and its subsequent spending does help local economies and stimulates growth but it’s not the same as saying that it increases the level of individual happiness in those communities. Wars and natural disasters are capable of boosting GDP but we wouldn’t say they are “good”. for many people Reddit is a place they can go to to vent and release anger. a lot of internet comments sections are like that. i don’t really see it as a reflection of real life. I’ve seen several posters on walls and telephone poles posted in Mexican subreddits telling gringos to go back where they came from. So at least some of this is expressed in real life. They are a net positive to the economy. Their spending is a direct cash injection into the local economy. DNs are a positive to nearby businesses as they spend much more on dining and entertainment than locals.
A negative consequence that can happen from increased demand is rising rents. However it is up to the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this government to ensure that a region is meeting its housing goals via new construction supply of either private or social housing developments. People will always move to where they can find the best quality of life. Why should they pay income taxes? They are not entitled to any of the social safety net benefits those taxes pay for. They are already paying sales tax, they are in a sense paying property tax since the rental owners pass the property tax costs onto the renters. And if they are staying in hotels or Airbnbs there are tons of taxes tacked on to those. Not saying I agree or disagree with this take. But for the sake of dialogue, what about considering that DNs still do use local infrastructure (buildings, roads, parks, wiring, sewer, public transportation) and police which is funded partially or entirely by tax dollars? I’m sure there’s also countries where you could seek medical care which is subsidized by the government. Pf, the majority of Mexicans don’t pay income taxes in their own damned country. I barely have left my house since the pandemic started. I use no social services, am excluded entirely from medical care at IMSS by the Mexican government due to having a connective tissue disorder that costs me thousands of dollars out-of-pocket to manage. I pay 16% IVA on everything- for a while there including my rent.
I’m here because my partner is Mexican, not because I care to live in Mexico. Mexicans who don’t like it can cry me a river- AND put their money where their mouth is and start paying their own damned taxes. Then maybe we’ll talk. This is only true if the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this government’s spending is a positive for the local populace. In places like Mexico where the entire government apparatus from top to bottom is a criminal enterprise, it isn’t a given. DNs drive up rent which pushes native residents out. They also often live in their own international bubbles and don’t venture beyond that, the shitty ones may even expect the natives to conform to them by learning English and etc. instead of the other way around. This kind of stuff is common in CDMX where the COL has exploded and the nice neighborhoods are full of gringos speaking English.
Effectively DNs bring gentrification which improves the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this economy but the benefit is not shared equally across the local population. Every unit reserved for short-term Airbnb rentals is a unit unavailable for a local to rent long-term at an affordable price. This can create artificial housing shortages. Using Airbnb drives up demand for housing stock, increasing housing prices for locals. Using hotels only affects the prices tourists pay. At least for poor countries, yes. People with above-average spending, that do not / are not allowed to actually use many of the public services like public healthcare. Much like gentrification in general, I think there is a level where it gets to be too much. That said, there are plenty of places that would love to have nomads, or else they wouldn’t be incentivizing them coming thereCongress is the biggest party in opposition. If it does not do generous seat sharing with regional partners today, it is weaking the opposition anyway I live in Delhi. While I agree to this that INC is weak here, AAP should also see its own record in LS elections before speaking sh*t. It lost all 7 seats twice to BJP and in 2019, it had less votes than INC on 4 seats. Giving just 1 seat to INC is extremely insulting, given its offered by a party which cannot guarantee to win rest 6 seats. I am 100% sure if both contest in 4-3, BjP will loose atleast 3 seats out of 7 but with this attitude of AAP, it’s gonna be a repeat again and all 7 will go to BJP again.
I’m also from Delhi bro. The issue is congress is not being fair to AAP in Punjab. Hell, congress is not being fair to any of their partners. It is not surprising that AAP doesnt want to accomodate them. The same grassroots level anger due to economic stagnation in Punjab in 2018 also appears to exist in Haryana in 2024. Most everyday people are fed up with the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this Jat-Gujjar bullshit that INC and BJP tried in Delhi student elections, and the Delhi model would definetly resonate in backwards Hisar Division and western Rohtak Divison. It would also help AAP seal the deal with getting backing from Sunil Mittal (Bharti Enterprises) and Kushalpal Singh (DLF) – both of whom have a bone to pick with Modi.
If AAP ends up winning Haryana Assembly elections in 2024, it has no reason to be a junior partner to INC. Heck, they could probably peel off Himata Biswa Sarma by 2029 with the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this right offer and a decent portion of RJ INC and end up with a fairly strong faction. I don’t see that happening. Haryana people are 100 times more communal than Punjabi Sikhs. Communalism is the bread and butter of parties like BJP. Seat sharing and voting percentage. In previous elections, atleast 3 seats were there which had combined vote of Aap+ INC candidates higher than the BJP vote. This time, things are different. There is not some pulwama wave or anything like that. Bjp votes will be lesser than last time and chances are better for opposition to dent bjp in Delhi. In Haryana, latest survey showing 8 seats loss for BJP. It had won all 10 seats there last time. Haryana shares border with Delhi and bjp has less impact in Delhi in bordering areas where rural population is much higher. It’s strong on Urban areas where Upper Caste voters vote blindly for it on caste/religious lines. They give excuses of development etc but it’s always about caste only.
The arrogance of congress and its supporters. The seat sharing talks started 7 months ago. Not one state where they have been able to finalize anything. BJP will lose all 7 if there was no vote split happening in Delhi. And when it was time to make a joint strategy for elections, that asshole went on some fucking yatra on his own. This is how you fight elections? And day after day, his own trusted leadsrs are dumping congress to join BJP. How can any regional party have any faith in crook congress politicians to not sell themselves to BJP after elections. Btw, what do you suggest? INC should fight only on 1 and leave 6 seats for AAP which couldn’t get even second position on 4 seats last time? Yeah. Go party while all illegal activities are facilitated by the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this supreme court. Instead of cancelling the declaration of BJP mayor, SC gave BJP 3 weeks to go after councillor and their families. We have seen few defectors earlier as well. Almost all of them, their political career is over.
Doesnt matters. Its people who take care of these crooks. They will all lose and people just will give such a big majority that bjp finds it impossible to create a breakaway faction. This is what I am talking about. This danger of blatant misuse of all resources against opposition will keep persisting till modi is there in power. Kejriwal has to soft himself and not insult other parties like INC during seat sharing. I am not anyone’s supporter. I myself vote for Aap in Delhi and will vote again for it but if data suggests that combined vote of Aap +INC is higher than BJP in 3 seats, take care of such seats and fight accordingly. Fir gathbhabdhan hua hi kya nhi toh? Ye to congress ko bully krne ka khel ho gya just.
No man. No intention of bullying congress. There are genuine efforts being made behind the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this scenes since past 6-7 months. Its congress who has been dily delaying as if they have some sort of secret understanding with BJP. If they had 4:3 arrangement in mind, they haven’t spelled that out either. Others need to start preparing as well. What should have happened months ago a joint strategy being formed across the board, agree on one on one against BJP nationwide and then go on collective campaigns all over the nation to build narrative against BJP. But nope. They chose to first waste 4 months in assembly elections in hope they will have better bargaining chips post elections. That didn’t happen and next they went on a unilateral yatra. You can’t expect to lead a coalition while going on and making unilateral decisions.
Congress needs to re-invent itself. Today’s BJP is practically filled with ex-congress members. There arent anly grassroots remaining except for one families sycophants. Till the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this time congress realize this, their game is as good as over. Modi is pressuring ED on kejriwal so the option he has is to go to jail or fight on all seats. This is a very real threat . Till Modi is there, the threat of misuse of powers will be in air. Either fight now or get ready to bear all of it for 5 more years. The fight is all about this only. Kamalnath and Siddhu are set to join BJP in the hundredth occurrence of Congressis joining BJP. But the guy, whose two main men are in prison on trumped-up charges for over a year, is the BJP stooge.
Are you talking about the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this CM from Karnataka Siddaramaiah? I don’t think he’ll ever shift. At least not in the coming decade There is a big difference. Congress does not want defection .. they cant stop because indians can be bought easily. I had a feeling this would happen. For all the hype about the INDIA alliance, the smaller parties seem to be more interested in putting down the Congress, their supposed leader, than the BJP. Now we know why seat-sharing talks with AAP seem to be going nowhere. Kejriwal had already decided to forget about this election and focus on the future instead. Being 19 years younger than Modi, he can just afford to wait for the latter to leave politics instead of trying to bring him down.
But he’d win… atleast as long as the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this Gandhi disck suckers are there in Cong…AAP is unreliable now…we are heading towards a bad direction…aage kua peeche khai… if they were ever get into power all they would do is politically cave to hindutva and economically put a band-aid of welfare on underlying issue and make the country the country more reactionary and susceptible to RW forces {as they would represent “**left**”} and just facilitate in the process of shifting the overturn window as shit inevitably breaks down because of internal contradiction the same thing is happening every where in the world in europe neo-lib parties failing miserably and giving space to straight up fascist to rise in power be that italy sweden and i am sure france and germany would be next the way things are going I understand but Kejriwal isn’t a murderer nor does he incite riots at a national level to win elections. He’s by far the better option between whoever the BJP puts forward regardless of how much he sucks as a leader himself.
ofcourse anything is better than what we have now….. its just little concerning seeing the Trans Girls Be Free Ceremony Burn This Flag Shirt But I will love this same ideologically and economically obtuse parties coming to power all around the world and what inevitably follows them i.e someone like javier milei BJP was the OG party that opposed the liberalisation of the economy. If we had it their way in 1991 most of us wouldn’t even be born. sustaining a neo-lib economy [as futile as it might be] requires a welfare state to compensate for its inherent contradictions common mate…… people are always frustrated and enraged and it is the job of political entities to spear the populous to the material reality of those frustrations rather than coat tailing on the popular sentiments just for power which is what aap does
