It’s apparently so wrong to say “I don’t like children”, well, I’m sorry but I don’t like them. I didn’t have kids for this reason. I’m also bipolar. I could not give kids the time and patience they require. My husband was always ok with that….long as he was with me. Bar university and his career (in mid 40s) we do whatever we want. Our lives look like everyone else’s we just don’t have kids and have a lot more money to spend. So we treat ourselves well. I never wanted kids. I knew I’d be a shitty parent. I don’t miss them because I don’t think about them because they were never a thought in my world. I can remember panicking around 20 thinking I had to have them….it was horrible. Took a lot to push against societal pressure to have them.
