I have no problem with people knowing what I look like and even put my name at the To the person behind me you are amazing beautiful and enough never forget shirt and by the same token and end of my videos. Occasionally I’ve even shown old pictures that I’m in, but I think it’s kind of unnecessary to put myself front and center throughout the video. I mean, a ton of documentaries have narrators you never see. I don’t think I need to force myself in there when I could instead be showing the thing I’m talking about. Setting up a camera, green screen, key lights, adds another dimension to stuff I have to keep track of during a stream. I’d rather just use my voice. It’s not that I’m against showing my face. I have before, but I’d rather keep it simple. LoL so I can film in my PJ’s in the spur of the moment, no need to get “camera ready”. I kid you not, I’ll be in the garage testing a drill wearing flannel pants and a tshirt with flip flops on. Previously, I have a youtube channel where I show my face (it’s a programming channel, I solve a puzzle and showing my face). Then, randomly, people start become aware of my channel (even my mother and my HR).
