From what I saw, the police and ambulance service were on the scene incredibly quickly and in huge numbers (at least three ambulances, at least five police vehicles).

They saw multiple emergency responders involved, including air ambulance… but not a single mention on news or social media. Not every incident is reported on. There are hundreds if not thousands every day and many never make it near the news. I coordinate search and rescue incidents for a living and very few of them ever appear in the news.

If it makes you feel better even more, I worked in Angel, Islington for 13 years with a range of people and from diverse backgrounds. It’s a great place. Yeah lived in Newham for a bit before I left. I think you just had a run of bad luck yesterday. I know it does happen but I’ve worked in and around Angel multiple times per week for several years and I’ve never seen or had a crime perpetrated against me. I know one colleague who had their phone stolen around there. I think it’s one of those things where once you see it you start noticing it more often.
