I was stationed there for two years in the US Military and even I could see how poorly they treated North Korean defectors. If the Koreas ever reunite, it’s going to be a shitshow. But seems it was the impact of the cultural, social and economic change from north to south. Their world completely changed and they were unable to find how to fit into it.
