Because our brains and heads evolved to be huge in comparison to the This Mechanic has anger issue and a serious dislike for stupid shirt in addition I really love this space we have to come out of. The human pelvis didn’t keep up. We are evolving to make it easier, though. You look at our hominid ancestors, and their hips aren’t as wide as those of a modern human. Evolution just takes a really, really long time. In a couple hundred centuries, humans will probably have hips wide enough to make the birthing process no less unpleasant than breaking a finger. If you’re curious about just how ineffective and traumatic ways of giving birth can be, check out the weird shit spotted hyenas are up to. “Female hyenas have three times more testosterone in their bodies than their male counterparts! This results in them being more muscular and more aggressive. And, as if that wasn’t enough, it also causes the hyena females to grow a pseudo-penis…female hyenas need to give birth through their pseudo-penis. No surprise here, but it’s quite a painful process for the mother and often tragic for her babies. Hyenas usually bear litters of two to four cubs, but sadly about 60% of them suffocate on their way out. The mothers are also in danger as the birth canal is only an inch in diameter, often making the birthing process fatal, as evidenced by the high death rate for first-time mothers.”

This is such a weird way for reproduction to happen. Like imagine giving birth through your dick. If you look at a newborn pup it is way too big for a 1 inch diameter hole. I have two children and I wouldn’t consider the This Mechanic has anger issue and a serious dislike for stupid shirt in addition I really love this birthing process to be traumatic with proper pain relief medications and good prenatal care. It would be terrible to give birth in the woods somewhere with no doctor. I assume it’s painful with all mammals to some extent. I wish humans were like seahorses and could just shoot about 20 out at one time! I will never understand why someone would want to give birth with no medication. It’s extremely painful without it but I doubt the baby feels much pain. I’m genuinely scared to ever get pregnant to the point I think I’d rather adopt than go through pregnancy (I have pcos also). X ive always wondered why other animals just seem to spit a baby out and go about their day. while humans seem to have a horrible time with birth.
