I collect old and rare books so I can confirm but the They’re Coming To Get You Scary T-Shirt also I will do this smell is faint. Easton Press and Folio Society are two large publishers that print these books with an obvious premium. I have some Easton Press books from the 1980s and they look brand new.

Newspapers are about as acidic as you can get in terms of paper, so they will start to show signs of degradation pretty quickly (relatively speaking) and will smell amazing.
