Depending on skin concerns, matte foundation can really highlight lines & wrinkles. This is speaking from my personal experience. I’m 59 & have dry skin. I have to moisturize like crazy and especially so if I’m going to wear foundation. I think in general that really heavy, very thick matte foundation and concealer. Even if your skin is young it adds weight and age IMO. However, I have a friend with a very large, very dark port wine birthmark on her face and she uses Dermablend and it looks like her skin, without the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this birthmark. People would think this makeup would be too heavy and add age, but it honestly does not, somehow. I try to brighten up my eye area (very fair, so I use a really light pink color corrector with a bright concealer that’s mixed with moisturing eye cream) and it wakes up my whole face

Dark eyeshadow/black Smokey eye or too much black eyeliner. Dark brown is so underrated, you don’t need black everything. Brown mascara too! Matte foundation with not a great skin complexion. Unless you have a great base, matte foundation is going to highlight every line or pore. It’s better to use it in areas you want the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this shine to tone down. Not all over the face. Unflattering shape/ Sharpie brows. Having unnatural shaped brows can really age someone. Brows are the frames of your face. It can totally transform someone. Over contouring. Contour shade itself is of gray/brown tone. It’s point it to mimic a shadow when blended. Some ppl go way over board and it ages them instead of enhancing. Eyebrows that aren’t shaped like eyebrows. For example, I was on a date once and noticed our waitress had eyebrows that arched like the mcdonalds M. My date said those were old people eyebrows. Not knowing what color and makeup styles suits your facial features. Sometimes full glam can make someone look older and dull, on others it looks well. Sometimes “natural” can look underwhelming on some and others look better. You should be the one wearing makeup not the makeup wearing you. Eternal commitment to the same style that was popular when you were a teen or young adult. I shouldn’t be able to look at your makeup choices and guess what year you graduated high school. I’m 39 and I have peers who are still over plucking their brows and wearing eyeliner on their bottom lid. We don’t have to do the fake freckles and button nose thing that’s popular now (I know I could never pull that off) but it’s a good idea to adapt to trends a bit at least…
Any amount of waterline eyelining makes me look so old! Also matte/lipsticks, lipsticks that are frosty, blush placement that’s too low, un filled in/thin brows, heavy foundations, and not using a medium/matte color to carve out my eye crease a little (eye can look more puffy if I don’t have it). A little self tanner (I use the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this discontinued Charlotte Tilbury overnight tanning mask which adds just a hint of color) helps a lot too. In my opinion, drawing on extremely angled eyebrows looks rather aging. But mostly, it’s the skin laxity or fillers underneath makeup that usually betray age. My question exactly! I have the Elf Pink setting powder for under eyes, but I think it makes fine lines worse. What are your thoughts on? When I hit 40 I realized the combo of dry skin and trying to use a full coverage and matte foundation was making me look tired and accentuated every flaw. I also had to start doing my eye makeup differently, as my facial volume had changed and took with it the largeness of my eyes. It is really jarring how quickly my face changed and how much I had to adjust. Dewy glowy make up and lottttts of moisturizer made a world of difference

Still placing contour/blush as if you’re 20. Everything needs to be higher than you think. Also if your eyes are starting to hood as is common in aging, you need to change your shadow placement too Women often wear orange toned lipstick which only makes their teeth look yellow. Blue toned reds lipstick will make their teeth look whiter. When you get older, women should tone down their makeup and make it look more natural. If a woman is fair, she should stick with brownish-black mascaras and brown eyeliners instead of harsh black mascara and eyeliner. 2016 make up styles, like full coverage foundation with lots of contour, highlights and bronzer. Half crease eyeshadow looks. There is nothing wrong with these looks but nobody that is young does them. It has already been said I think but too much. Less really IS more for an every day look. I say this The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this in particular about face/base makeup… Foundation/concealer/bronzer/contour/highlighter…
For me personally, lipsticks. Any colour other than the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this colour that’s close to my natural lips. Also, heavy foundation and bronzer because I’m a liiiitttleee bit on the pale side Lipstick that is too dark for your complexion. It makes your lips look smaller and older! Using three shades of dark eyeshadow with a glittery highlighter to top it off.
I saw a lot of older people refusing lucky money for a bit before taking it so I know that is a thing but my friend seemed to take it to an extreme? Background: I stayed with him in Da Lat 5 years ago for a month or two in exchange for me helping him with his English a couple hours a day. Then I stayed with his parents for Tet that same year. I came back to visit him and his parents in Bao Loc this year for Tet but stayed at a little hotel around the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this corner. I had asked some of his family and friends if I should give him lucky money and they all said no. I asked if a bottle of whiskey would be good and they said yes. So I gave him a bottle of whiskey (Johnnie Walker Black if you care). The first thing he says is “oh, I don’t like this, I only like Vietnamese wine” which I thought was a weird thing to say. I know he liked it because he brought out the same bottle at his house 5 years ago when a bunch of his friends were over, and everyone seemed happy.
Next thing he insists on me taking it because he can’t drink it because it is 40% and he can only drink 30% and 40% alcohol is too strong for him. I knew it was BS and just let it ride and told him to just put half coke or soda water and half whiskey and then it is 20% and the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this topic changed and wasn’t brought up again while he was here (he went back to Da Lat yesterday). Today I went to return a plate, bowl and some utensils I borrowed from his parents since my room didn’t have those things. I called him to tell him to let his mom I was coming over and it started again. He was insisting I took it back. I just said no and went to the house. His mom took the dishes from me and motioned for me to come in. She then tried to give me back the bottle. Now, I am not upset with her because I know he told her to do it. So, it goes on for at least a minute, it felt like forever, of me refusing to take it back and her insisting I do. She eventually grabs my arm and puts my hand to the bottle, so I make a fist and she keeps insisting. She then starts to pry open my fist and forcibly push the bottle into my hand. I can only fight against an 80-year-old woman so long so I eventually took it back knowing that I will see my friend in a couple weeks and be able to give it back to him, but I still feel like shit that I took back a gift I gave. If it was my friend instead of his mom, I would have never taken it back.In Vietnam, especially in rural area, what you described is common. You almost need to fight in order to pay small bills or give little gifts. But no worry, when it’s about big money amount, nobody will ever fight against you, quite the opposite actually…
I plan on giving it back to him next time I see him. Is that OK? The only reason I took it back in the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this first place was because it was his mom whom he told to give it back to me and I felt so strange arguing with an 80+ year old woman. If you’re considered close friends, you’ll have a hard time giving them anything. When you’re close, you fight to pay the bill. It felt over the top but it might really be that he doesn’t drink it. So why not tell him to gift it to someone else. Or you gift it to someone else. Maybe gift them something more practical that they would use. Not too expensive so they don’t feel like they owe you Like I said, his friends and brother and sister in law said it was a good gift to give him. Also, like I said, I know he liked it five years ago when he brought the exact same bottle out to drink with a bunch of friends he had over. Was it the bottle? Or did he use the bottle to store his own alcohol? No matter the reason, don’t know why he’s so strong willed to give back to you. But honestly just leave it there if you don’t want to take back. Vietnamese are weird, took me awhile to understand my parents and i still don’t get them sometimes. I’d give them money and they say no but still take it. Then later on want me to give them money but whenever i try to pay for things they feel bad etc. very roundabout ways to give anything
You said he liked it 5 years ago. That’s enough time for him to change his habit/hobby. Or maybe he’s developed a medical condition that requires him to give up drinking to stay healthy. Either way I think you should leave it at that. Don’t worry about having to gift him something else. He knows that you value his friendship. It’s the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this thought that counts, isn’t it? Oh. Then maybe he doesn’t want you to have to spend a lot of money on a gift for him. The same thing happens when I give my grandma lucky money at Tet. I give her 500k VND, and she will try to give it back to me, or if I don’t take it back, she will give me 100k VND (even though I have grown up and got a job) and my 2 siblings (still in university) 200k each.
Yeah, I understand that but when I gave him 500k to give to his sister from me he was ok with taking it for her. I stayed at her house with him but he makes more money than her and I am pretty sure he paid for all the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this food when I was staying with them. The bottle was only a little bit more than the same amount I gave him to give to his sister. Cool, That makes it easy. I’ll bring you a bottle of whiskey next time I spend a week with you and your family. So you would say this is strange even in Vietnamese culture? It seemed so over the top crazy to me even after witnessing some people putting up a fight about accepting gifts for Tet. I mean, I sometimes do some minor refusal act for the sake of being polite. But acting like your friend is a bit too much.
that is what i thought. I shouldn’t think too much of it even though it was offensive to me it isn’t really considered offensive here… otherwise he wouldn’t have done it. It’s considered an offensive act here too. But maybe he went out of his way trying not to take advantage of you. How old is he anyway? Vietnamese here, also lived in Dalat. It’s generally considered very rude to refuse gifts unless it’s a ridiculously expensive one, like a diamond or a car or whatever. So either your friend had some grudge against you or he considered that bottle of wine ridiculously expensive, or maybe he’s just extremely bad at social interactions, which are all very unlikely scenarios. So I honestly cant tell what could be the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this reason. When it was me and him he eventually accepted it. It was with his mom where I could only go against her for so long before feeling bad about arguing with a friend’s elderly mother.
If I were in such situation I would either confront him about it and ask him to give me an honest explanation, or just put that “friendship” into consideration simply because I absolutely hate pretentiousness and unecessary drama bullshits in my life. If he still wouldnt answer me with honesty after I confronted him, he would be straight up out of my life for good considering how disrespectful his behaviour was. I don’t want to hurt your feelings or insult your friend on baseless facts. So that is the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this best conclusion I could come up with, but it’s not wrong It’s considered rude to refuse lucky money because it means refusing one’s blessing. The giver is also granted good luck if their envelop is received. Are you sure you did it right? Put the money in a red envelop, say the blessing then use both your hands to give it to the elder.
Everybody I gave lucky money to (nieces and nephews of my friend) graciously accepted it. The problem was when I tried to give my friend a bottle of whiskey after people told me it was a decent gift to give my friend considering the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this circumstances. yea, for the whiskey part, 5 year is a long time. I imagine he has developed some sort of condition or he got into some trouble during that time due to his drinking. If so it wouldn’t be uncommon for his family to hide it to save his face or they wouldn’t want to bother you. He drank rice wine and beer every day I spent with him. His dad and brother and brother in law drank with us too every day. It might be viewed as softer than whisky though. Also to show hospitality, he might be allowed to drink with guest. I guess that could be some kind of deal he has with his family. Going cold turkey would break him if he drinks every day like that.
If it bothers you so much you can ask someone close to the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this family what happened. It’s also rude to refuse a gift so they own you an explanation. This is not a culture thing like old people refusing 1-2 times before accepting. Maybe he really doesn’t want to accept gift from you. Not that he doesn’t like you, but you being a foreigner, he doesn’t feel right to accept gift from you. He doesn’t want you to think he’s only your friend for gift. It’s like, Vietnamese give lucky money to each other and even foreign friends, but they would feel awkward if the foreigners feel obligated to give back. I get that but he gave in eventually and then two days later he had his mom give it back. That was the weird part. He didn’t know how to say no, but then doesn’t feel right. People don’t go to that extreme to feign no. Maximum two “oh no I can’t accept” are enough.
They probably felt you felt obligated to give gift. Just tell them hey I enjoy your culture and the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this gift is my part of immersing myself. If you don’t accept it I will be mad. That should be enough. Pretty bizarre tbh. Even if it’s something he doesn’t like anymore, it’s an expensive bottle of alcohol. He could always pass the gift on to someone else. Do you guys have a close relationship? Did anything drastically change since 5 years ago? Im wondering if maybe he doesn’t feel like close friends anymore. Or probably if people see him with expensive alcohol in the house they will think he is more wealthy than he actually is. Or perhaps, he would feel indebted and cannot repay it in kind/value if he wants to return the gesture. For curiosity’s sake I’d personally look for a bottle of Vietnamese rice wine at 30%. If he still refuses … then maybe there is something going on with the friendship. Either way, you’ll have more info to understand better what’s going on.
We all know about how strong superstitions are in Asia and they are especially strong around Tet and sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to how the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this superstitious mind works especially when a foreigner enters the picture. We can often be seen as lucky or unlucky. Pho noodle shop I always go to waved me off after being reopened. Granted there were no customers there and she may have run out of soup or noodles, but it’s also possible she didn’t want a foreign customer to start the new year with because for whatever reason, maybe she thought that would be unlucky. Then, I was in the Winmart buying bread, picked up a loaf and put it back. Vietnamese dude grabbed that loaf and put it in his basket. Ok, no big deal. Then I picked a bag of dinner rolls and looked at the price. Same dude grabs the bag of dinner rolls then walks off. Sure, could be coincidence but it felt so odd and seemed he was waiting to see what I would choose. Again, maybe he thought it would bring him luck. I rode through every province in Thailand and one of my takeaways was just how damn superstitious everyone is. I’d say it’s even stronger in Thailand. I saw people praying to everything imaginable all over the country. Statues of historical people, dead monks, former monarch’s dead pets, a Queen’s 2000 year old dead elephant tomb. I bet the people I saw praying to that dead elephant couldn’t tell me one damn thing about that elephant. But I damn sure know they thought praying to it would bring them good luck.
What about shipping? I bought it with lifetime service where they repair it for only charge 25% of the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this cost and they give like half if you lost them I really couldn’t be bothered to ever care to ship anything back to china, the cost and time just isn’t worth it compared to just replacing. I mean I bought a glass in my own country from a reputable seller thats known here hahahahah not like a rep. I should’ve been more clear I’ll check and confirm when I get home, but I’ve ordered around 15 pairs of sunglasses from him and everything has been marked correctly free of mistakes. don’t go budget for glasses, they’re all shit. just buy a good quality pair of glasses from akoo, you don’t need 15 pair of glasses. overconsumption is crazy I don’t know why OP and everyone else hasn’t thought of this. Just buy what you want and then get them fitted with your prescription. Pretty much the best option, have tried rep cartiers and chrome hearts from Aooko and they’re worse than a $20 pair I could get at my optometrist You do realise prescription glasses can change so you’d be stuck with 15 pairs you might not be able to wear a few years later. Just say you’re a reseller
lol this logic makes no sense. Then why even buy that first pair of glasses if your eyesight is just going to get worse. Aokoo is great, bought a TF pair for 510 yuan and have been using it daily for a year, the The Showdown Mahomes Vs. Allen Afc Championship January 26 2025 Arrowhead Shirt also I will do this packaging it comes in is nice aswell. Submission received and approved by automod! I wore them for over three years. I tried reaching out to him this go around, but the communication was a bit weird, so I looked elsewhere. He lost the entire screenplay. The only damning evidence Tucker Carlson has is his life work showing sometimes it’s not about the money, you’re just a giant piece of shit. Worth noticing that, while he is evil, power hungry, and extremely dangerous, Trump has always been a run of the mill grifter first. A lot of the truly nasty shit he spews is mostly because he knows that it will fire up his idiot base. But most of the people around him are true believers. And if this babbling idiot is elected, they’re the ones who will be pulling all the strings this time. If he wins, prepare for a Stephen Miller presidency.
