This has been my experience at larger companies, the The Mountains Are Calling and I Must Go T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this only time it wasn’t was when it was small family owned places that had under 20 employees. in some companies the hiring manager is just some idiot that failed upwards, i.e. the company could not risk leaving them in a customer facing role, yet, they didn’t really do anything that would warrant firing them so they just have them conduct scripted final interviews…but…most of the time your final interview is with the person you will be working under or along side of, and if they should be selling you on the role as much as they are qualifying you for it so if any major red flags pop up it may be a sign of how the day to day will be Depends. Would he have been your direct supervisor? How much face time did I have with the guy at that point? Would I have to deal with him all that much? Was he really as bad as I thought or could he have been having a bad day? Did I really need the job or was I casually looking? On just the info provided, if I really needed the job then absolutely I’d take it. If I liked my current job and didn’t desperately need the pay increase or benefits? I might have passed. Nobody wants to work for someone they won’t get along with.

You probably blew your chance though. Kinda shows you may be an employee who acts impulsively or doesn’t really think through decisions. One time I did turn down a position just to regret it and call them back a couple days later.
