While I understand that it was a disgraced confederate general…just know there are other issues that are kind of pressing…that haven’t changed much. Recently somebody asked me what I thought about the renaming. My $0.02: If Braxton Bragg were to be alive during the years that I was in the US Army, he would be fighting against me, the United States, and the US military. Basically, he was leading a bunch of traitors that would have killed me in combat. They lasted 4 years and got their asses kicked. The basis for what they were fighting for, in the documents of every state that seceded was their belief that black people were inferior, and it should be their right to hold them as slaves because of white superiority. Fuck Braxton Bragg, Fuck the confederacy, and fuck anybody who still supports honoring people who fought for the confederacy. I moved out to WA from NC 6 years ago. A few years ago my boss told me he’d gone to Fort Bragg on his vacation. “Why would you go anywhere near Fayetteville if you were going to NC? You should have told me, I would have given you some places to see.”
