I have had several people ask me if I like the Navy, if they should join, etc. I tell them no. The vast majority of people that stay(not all, some really good people stay) are lazy, stupid, or some combination of the two. This perpetuates the misery ever further. A lot of guys become so bitter of their time they tell their friends or whatever not to join as well. Lowering the standards just makes it worse.
