Yeah. His posture is what skydivers do when we’re “tracking”, i.e. want to move horizontally but don’t feel like putting a wingsuit on. This guy has so much surface area relative to his weight he has an amazing glide. Man, that looks like an epic amount of fun! Saying that, I’ll probably break my neck along with most bones in my body attempting this. I used to race alpine. Did a fair few downhills and as part of our training we did a few days on these hills. It is by far the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this most scared I’ve ever been on skis. These guys are BADASS. I went and checked out one of these in Innsbruck many years ago. There’s a graveyard right behind the landing area, makes it super convenient if you mess it up. relatively popular in Austria (not like slalom though), I imagine it’s similar in Norway and Japan, countries that have good jumpers as well Based on the green line at 237.5, probably like 245-250. If this is Vikersund (all the Norwegian flags indicate it is), the longest (standing) jump has been 253.5 meters. All of these jumpers are next level. Every the shitty ones. I was once on top of one of these long ramps. It was summer though but I was absolutely terrified to even look down. No-one will ever beat Eddie the Eagle. I mean they’ll literally beat him, all the time, but not metaphorically.
The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt: Embrace Your Uniqueness
Thank you so much for your comment it’s funny because my mum was an art teacher and my grandad was an art teacher and illustrator so the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this tuition should be easy to come by! He absolutely loves it, it’s all he does, my house is overflowing with his drawings! He’s definitely into the finer details of drawing he’s got such a great eye for perspective and angles. I will definitely get him some books on pattern Oh that’s so great to hear definitely good for him to explore styles and that he draws all the time , is a sure sign 🙂 I will never be as good an artist as your nearly 7 year old is. I can see things as they are (was a pro photographer for many years), but recreating what I see in any other form is impossible. If you’re thinking of the techno-trousers — is it really appropriate to expect a 7-year-old to troubleshoot such a complex engineering problem?
There is plenty! Capitalism is not compatible with ecology. A free market won’t solve the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this climate crisis. It is the main reason that we can’t get out of it. Why do you think it’s like that? Why don’t governments change this? That’s right because you have big corporation lobbying to make sure we are well dependant of what they sell and that we don’t have alternatives. How? If you solely complain about companies using too much resources, and then you turn around and buy their cars and gas.. Maybe that’s worth acknowledging, don’t you think? In a country registers 2 trucks per child, where every person annually consumes more than their own weight in meat… How does that not apply to “most people”?

How I can buy this The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt
But if you’re driving a massive truck, eating nothing but steak and flyingaround on holiday 3 times a year then, duh, maybe you’re also part fo the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this problem. It’s the typical capitalist bullshit culture of the rich telling the middle class the poor is taking all his money. Should I stop taking my car while I don’t have any alternative to work and can’t afford an electric car? Shall I go to work every day on foot and take 4 hours to get there? Of you think you’re going to have an significant impact on global warming because you changed “your consumption pattern” you’re fooling yourself. You can change whatever you want. Corporation will still sell to you and will still polute. THEY are the main contributor. How do you think this works? The pollution is created by the stuff they produce for consumers. What exactly are you asking for? “It’s unreasonable for us to change our consumption habits, so we demand that you provide us the same stuff, at the same price and convenience, but just without the pollution. How? No idea, but that’s their problem, because they’re the ‘main’ contributor.” “Corporation will still sell to you” if you buy it. Their pollution is to produce the goods you use. You are just outsourcing your polluting to them. You can reduce your contribution to this by buying products that are locally produced (international shipping and trucks are a major source of pollution) or those who use more sustainable production methods, even if it will be more expensive (and they definitely will be). People don’t want to spend more for this, and companies that use inefficient shortcuts or ship across the world are able to sell way more products, because they are a bit cheaper than the better alternatives.
You can’t do much about heating, but as for transportation, much of the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this world successfully uses bicycles and public transportation, which have a significant impact when switching to them from driving. If the place you live at lacks infrastructure to make this feasible, it is because your politicians have chosen not to invest into it because it is not something their voters care about. Individual consumption patterns once again. Meat and diary industry is by far one of the most polluting ones, especially when the vast bulk of it comes from half a dozen countries and is then shipped everywhere else. Even within this, different meats have very different contributions to pollution; beef, for example, is disproportionately polluting, with amortized emissions per kg about 15 times that of pork, milk and foodgrains, and 25 times that of poultry and eggs. When people still choose to eat these despite plenty of good enough alternatives that would make a significant impact, it is individual consumer patterns again.
People (very justifiably of course) whine about private jets, but all of them together account for only 0.2% of greenhouse emissions. By contrast, the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this beef industry alone is 25%. The average person halving their weekly meat intake, cycling instead of driving for trips under 5 km, and buying only locally sourced products would be just as significant as a celebrity relinquishing their private jet, but people prefer to point fingers than to take any responsibility. By and large every energy producer offers an energy mix, so it’s not like we have a choice and can go full green. A reminder that the concept of “carbon footprint” was created by BP as a way to shift responsibility on to individuals and that “recycling” was created by the Plastics Industry Council as a way to offset consumer concerns around plastic waste. Less than 5% of plastics are actually recycled, most are not recyclable at all.
It’s also because “plastic” is not a single homogeneous thing, but a class of materials. A lot of what we use in our daily lives has multiple types of plastics involved, often bonded together in a way that makes separating them really difficult. Only a handful of specific types of plastic are realistically recyclable, and then only if they aren’t part of something with other types. It’s cheaper for wealthy countries to ship all of their single-use plastic waste to poor countries and pay them to take it, where it just piles up and pollutes their environment. It’s a lot of reasons. Also a lot of plastics, especially soft plastics can’t be easily recycled with current technologies. Very few plastics made today are of types that can be recycled. The main reason for that is that recyclable plastics are more expensive. Another problem is the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this plastics can only be recycled in specific factories, whereas most plastics are just dumped in a bin somewhere and ends up on a landfill. But because of the fromer point, that hardly matters. Most plastic that is “recycled” is just burned for energy, which, obviously, emits lots of greenhouse gasses. Recycling is the answer to many environmental problems. We can get like 99 % of the components out of old batteries, and doing so is cheaper than getting them out of the ground, so once the worlds need for batteries stops growing so fast, the need to mine for minerals to produce batteries will go down significantly, for example. Aluminium, paper and glass are also good examples. But for plastics, the solution is to find other alternatives. It’s not even like paper is expensive.
If we all just went back to eating only a little meat on the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this weekends or just stop consuming animal products altogether we could use the free land for lots of useful stuff and would eliminate one of the top 3 factors of global warming. They will stop producing more animals after a short time if we stop consuming them and since we can’t really stop using cars or heating without heavy government action this is the best thing we can do as consumers if we want to reduce our impact and reduce the gravity of our current climate crisis. Avoiding unnecessary car trips and heating costs is great too but aren’t as effective as cutting the biggest one. yeah but there’s a difference between doing what we can and guilting people who are driving their car to work. focus on where it matters look at taylor swifts climate terrorism. that actually makes a difference.
But maybe it’s a great idea to switch from a Ford F150 to something more sensible when doing a commute from NJ to downtown Manhattan, that kind of thing. We love to focus on it being a choice. You either are a poluting earth hating car driver or you walk everywhere, while there’s a middle to be found where you can still drive to work, you’re just being more sensible about it. But nah, we’ll focus on Taylor Swift and continue to roll coal because that’s what we do. Reminder that those 100 corporations are responsible for producing the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this fossil fuels that created 71% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Just 100 companies have been the source of more than 70% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions since 1988, according to a new report. The Carbon Majors Report (pdf) “pinpoints how a relatively small set of fossil fuel producers may hold the key to systemic change on carbon emissions,” says Pedro Faria, technical director at environmental non-profit CDP, which published the report in collaboration with the Climate Accountability Institute.
We’re actually producing new renewable energy more quickly than even the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this most hopeful predictions, but that’s not a story r/Facepalm/ would tell you. “Record rates of growth across Europe, the US and Brazil have put renewables on track to overtake coal as the largest source of global electricity generation by early 2025, the IEA said. By 2028, it forecasts renewable energy sources will account for more than 42% of global electricity generation.” Unfortunately for us, hope doesn’t get clicks, or engagement, or shares on social media; “Dog doesn’t bite man” doesn’t sell papers, it goes below the fold. And yet hope is what we need right now; hope alone won’t solve our problems, but hopelessness will definitely make them worse.
Look up the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this list of the 100 companies referenced. It’s all oil, gas, and coal companies. The critical part that is missed is that 71% of emissions can be TRACED BACK to these 100 companies. The companies aren’t burning these fuels, they’re selling them to you and I and the other companies that manufacture and ship the goods we consume. Without consumption, these emissions would not exist. Consumption, our individual and collective lifestyle, is indeed at the root of climate change. This isn’t to say that these companies haven’t tried to manipulate science, media, and politics in the name of maintaining the fossil fuel status que. They have and they should be held accountable. But to wipe away all traces of personal and social accountability by deferring all blame to corporations is simply passing the baton. I’ve seen many people use this statistic as an excuse for not making changes to their lives and communities and it’s extremely frustrating.
Talk for yourself. Most people, even in the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this west, don’t have a choice to take their car to work. Don’t have a choice to heat themselves with oil. Don’t have a choice to consume food product issued from big food industries. Why do you think they were burning cars in France because of oil price increase? Because people wants to use fuel? No because they couldn’t survive if they couldn’t afford to use their car to work. If we look at issues like climate change & pollution, we have an individual choice that can make a huge difference: reducing the consumption on animal products. Would the alternatives we eat be sourced in a truly ethical manner? Nope, the production would still be part of the same capitalist system.
the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this left-over frustration is being projected on “a company”, on “foreigner”, on “the devil” or whatever delusion people chose to sleep at night. Adam is not wrong, but what happens is that Adam gets mad at CNN for not pointing out the corporations and feels that that is enough so he doesn’t have to change ANY habbit. Because, why bother to change if it’s others being the problem. I,m gonna put on my NIKE’s, eat a steak from the other side of the world and complain about big corpo on my smartphone. As long as i have a “company” to blame it does’nt matter what i do, i can just be their customer AND have someone to blame! I am so fucking sick of seeing that argument, it is so bloody stupid. WHY DO YOU THINK THESE COMPANIES ARE PRODUCING POLLUTION??? It’s for consumers! It’s for you! Idiots acting like people just open up big pollution factories to make pollution. Cant remember how many times I have seen people on this site use this exact argument. Ah yes, deflecting personal responsibility and everybody praising it because it allows them to do the exact same thing and just complain about big corps while doing jack shit to help. They say “what you can do”. They only forgot the most important one that is “vote for a government/president that put this subject as a priority”.
Then it’s true that the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this impact of one person is almost not influent, but it can affect the neighborhood, then the city if small etc. For bigger results you need politics. Individuals should do what they can. But personal efforts won’t work if massive contributors are let off the hook. I love the line “eat less meat”. Yeah, simple as that, right? It’s because these chuckleheads simply look at output figures and that settles the debate. So here is a huge spoiler to those fine folks at CNN: Farming takes a lot of land. You need a huge amount of land to run a commercial farm that literally provides the food your nation either consumes or sells in return for an economic boost. Crops need water to grow. Water needs rivers. They need canals to channel the water to where it needed. They need millions of dollars worth of personal investment from farmers to put up irrigation. They require extremely expensive farm equipment to cultivate the lands. They use a lot of water. They use a lot of pesticide. They use a lot of fertilizer. If anything in the system causes a hickup to the supply of the aforementioned needs, your crops will fail. Meanwhile, cattle farmers and sheep farmers can take barren land and run a business off it. Just supply some drinking water and your little sheepies can go into the field and eat the little bushes. While you still have cattle theft, coyotes and disease to deal with, it literally is possible to run the farm on bare bones. You can run a ranch in an area where a fruit or vegetable crop would be impossible.
Then you get to the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this other problem: Starting a citrus farm in Minnesota in suicide. Likewise, starting a banana farm in Nevada or an apple farm in Arizona. You will lose your shirt and you will be clobbered at the markets. Fruits and vegetables are bound to the climate and in order to supply a balanced diet, you need to source your veggies from all over the country. So are we factoring in the cost of fuel to ship all of these goodies? Are we factoring in the CO2 emissions from the company that makes the plastic irrigation pipes? How about the fertilizer? How about the pesticides? Are they telling me these are less harmful than cow farts? Here is the truth of the matter: if you take out meat production, there is literally no way to increase fruit and vegetable yields to make up the shortfall – this means people starve. No, it’s not hard to increase vegetable production up like that, no it’s not even very hard, it is very literally impossible. So next time someone feeds you that line how eating vegetables is better for the environment, just ask if they include pesticides, fertilizer and fuel as part of their claim.
People always love easy solutions such as “corporations are responsible for the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this emissions, so I dont have to consume less/better”. They produce for consumers (e.g. meat industry). People just dont want to admit they are part of the problem. PSA: for those who don’t know, a jumbo jet has about an order of magnitude better gallons per miles per passenger efficiency. The real statement should be: do not travel long distances like you have Rick Sanchez’ teleportation gun. Do not live a life were you have to commute over distances that would have taken people 3 months to accomplish 100 years ago. And second PSA which is probably not going to get appreciated, but corporations exist solely to provide services. I’m not saying they aren’t to blame – I think they are – but the reason why they exist is because people buy their goods and services. No corporation on earth exists that just sits there and emits CO2 but doesn’t serve consumers…
Now, to continue that analogy, I’m not saying weapons manufacturers deserve none of the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this blame for deaths caused using their weapons. It’s a complex problem where capitalist greed, spineless lawmakers and a hostile population prone to violence all bear some of the blame. The exact same is true for greenhouse gas emissions. When a news source points out that you as an individual actually have immense power to control how much greenhouse gas you emit, and give relevant tips on how to do that, nothing is less helpful than some asshole trying to shift the blame away, because it will make people stop trying. Lying to people and telling them that they have no responsibility and agency when they actually do pacifies the population and makes sure that an otherwise completely solvable problem remains forever. People like Adam Johnson are a big part of why we haven’t come further with solving green greenhouse gas problem.
…and those same corporations are owned by corporations that also own CNN (see also Fox and all others); it’s no coincidence. Stop watching the The Flintstones Fred Wilma Barney Group photo shirt But I will love this corporate news. Well yes but they sell their stuff to people… individuals in rich countries need to make different choices, but the ones who really need to step up is the rich folks. No more private jets, no more luxurious yachts, no more going to space for funzies. Tax the rich and outlaw their extremely polluting lifestyle. Sort of like how the government NEEDS unemployment to keep inflation down so actually causes said unemploment to the tune of around 4 percent then has the utter gall and temerity to go after welfare recipients or in their words “dole bludgers”. Can anyone dispute this ? Always pisses me off when anyone tries to blame individual choices or habits as the reason for climate change when even if they managed to convince most the population to change personal habits it would still be insufficient, as corporations are the ones doing most the damage and the only way to change that is through new laws in all countries and strong punishment that isn’t just a fine and a slap on the wrist. If you fine something like this it just becomes the cost of doing business.
