Well, compared to other majority white nations in Europe, America, Canada and Australia have a severe lack of culture when it comes to Whites people need to learn the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this term “Anglo American” cause this conversation is always way too preoccupied by the race implication Note that you didn’t say Italian Americans or French Americans. You said white. Therein lies a big problem. White is not a culture. It’s basically consigning culture to the bin for wider general acceptance among others who may not appreciate your individual heritage. America really doesn’t have a culture… Except maybe for a fanatical obsession with guns and hating people who don’t look like you. Well, everyone has culture. I observe a unique culture in white Americans and it also varies across different groups and regions but, generally speaking, I find a lot of things boring with some of the culture I see in the Los Angeles area. But, maybe it’s just with rich white Americans as I remember my white friends growing up being different so take this with a grain of salt.

The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt description

I’m Mexican American and my family preserved a lot of the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this culture. My girlfriend is American, mostly of Irish and German descent, but they do not hold onto any of those traditions from their ancestors. Major differences between our families is that in my family there’s always something going on on weekends, music, dancing, family get togethers, the more the merrier, and we have an ease making friends. In her family, although they value family to some degree, they tend to keep to themselves even though they’re extroverts and the idea of bringing random people to a get together scares them. Holiday celebrations are about the kids and being indoors often watching a classic movie. Can’t take roasting like we do at our family and their sense of fashion is limited. I seem to have more in common with Italians.
With that said, I still enjoy our families and the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this one thing that definitely unites us is our want to socialize and have some drinks. People act like white Americans don’t have culture because they’re literally inculcated in white American culture. That’s why the critique doesn’t make any sense. If you’re here in the United States of America then on some level you are coming into contact with the culture of white American people. We’re also an amalgam of cultures, plural. Native culture (as much as we white people have tried to eradicate it) influences a lot. Same with Spanish/Mexican culture, again we whites rail against the people but gladly accept the cuisine, holidays, language cues, and architecture. Every country that people have emigrated from has contributed to our shared heritage. So it’s kind of hard to see what American culture is. It is one big smoothie of other things all blended together.

We have brought a few items of our own. Most are consumerism-based (cars, pop culture, rock and roll/jazz) but not all. Look at the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this Western art of someone like Frank Mechau*. He studied abroad, but came back to his native Colorado because that was the subject he wanted to portray in his paintings. Same can be said for Georgia O’Keeffe, whose simple yet evocative works based on New Mexico geography, plant life, and still lifes are regarded as masterpieces. As a white male American, I can’t say for sure what my “culture” IS exactly, but I’ll gladly include elements of it, that come from all over the world and end up at my doorstep. I don’t appropriate these things, but I do appreciate them. * Frank’s wife Paula and their sons and daughters were close friends to my family growing up, so I admit a little bit of bias with regards to his work. The Mechau family are wonderful people, specifically Frank’s son Michael and his wife Blakely, who encouraged me to attend school in New Mexico rather than at a ‘tech college’ in California. As a “white” growing up outside the USA I notice the white USA culture all too well and I keep it at arms length. It’s a mountain of BS all the way down. There is many shades of whiteness and my southern European “whiteness” hidden under my Mediterranean tan as I grew up only gave me the position of “honorary” white – not “true” white – amongst some and no better that those African-American or Hispanic-American or Asian-American that kisses Trump’s ass to earn their badge as “honorary” white USA citizens. The “white” propaganda of the USA conservative right is stomach churning sickening. It’s worst when the Christians that are suppose to recognize we are all God’s children also buy into that propaganda. Anyway that’s what happens when xenophobia is allowed to dominate the cultural landscape.
For two reasons: 1) Racist trolling, 2) They are so used to seeing it, that they erroneously believe that the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this lack of it is what defines ‘culture’. Because historically, white culture doesn’t really exist It’s mostly the remnants of wherever your family is from so if you’re talking about certain family traditions or certain foods you eat there’s a country of origin that’s from. There’s very little white people do culturally in the US that is both uniquely American and created by white people. because most american culture is a mix of a bunch of different cultures. a lot of people assume because a culture isn’t 100% original that it just isn’t a culture. “white americans have no culture” is just wrong because everyone has culture, and if it isn’t culture from their ancestors (like immigrants i suppose i’m not sure how else to phase it) then it’s culture from the place they live, or a mixture of both
I could be wrong and cringey, but it seems more a case of whites not really having a homogenous culture like others do. Whites are more widespread; there are the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this French, the Germans, the Italians, etc. We’ve kind of spread out (an understatement), divided, and watered down more than other races. As a person who’s American with grandparents from the Azores island & lives in a city with many Azoreans & Portuguese people it really depends on the city & state. I always noticed that white Americans whose grandparents or great grandparents who immigrated to the U.S. usually can speak their native language or are really immersed in their culture. My city has a Portuguese celebration every year with many different Portuguese food, dance, & everything Portuguese. American Diaspora’s is different for everyone because some came to the U.S. during the early years of colonization & some came later to Elise island like my grandparents for example.
238 more repliesI was in the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this Chinese last Friday and was extremely impressed with the manners and phone conduct of the young lady behind the counter, she has worked there for a while now but I never really paid much attention before. When my order was ready the boss brought it out to me and I decided that the young lady needed complimenting so I told her boss how impressed I was with her conduct and manners. The boss then told me “it is only her second week, she is doing extremely well”. I didn’t really clock it initially but after leaving it registered that she has been there far longer than two weeks. It seemed like such a weird thing for the boss to be untruthful about.IDK, I never hear this shit about the extremely distinct Black American culture. I don’t hear anybody going “but there is no black culture there’s Jamaican culture and Ugandan culture and other cultures – black isn’t a real culture”. But you hear this with white people all the time, how there’s no white culture there’s British culture and German culture and whatever.
I presume it’s basically just reactionaries responding to reactionaries saying we need to protect white culture from *WHATEVER NEW THING IS HAPPENING*. But whereas sane people would respond “culture and people always change” counter-reactionaries instead respond “oh white Americans have no culture” like it’s the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this smartest most clever rebuttal ever. Because they are (for the most part), quite removed from their original cultures, which doesn’t mean they don’t have one but rather its boundaries are blurried. There is no “white American culture”- large country with a large population we have tons of little ones. Your not a “white American” you’re from Louisiana, and have your own accent separate from an American accent, and slightly different than a general southern one, or you are a new Yorker. Or you’re from Baltimore. I live south of Philly so I hear jawn a lot. I know a yinzer from rural Pittsburgh even from within pennselvania. Umm, Baseball, Football, Fourth of July, Hollywood, Ford cars, hispanic influence, etc. All of those things have influenced and created an American culture. So that doesn’t make sense. All countries took time to be able to create a “Culture” and even though ours is fairly new, doesn’t mean we don’t have one. So stupid.
Because the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this white culture shared experiences are racism and privilege, basically we don’t like to tout that. Haha Racism. Plain and simple. It’s no deeper than that. It’s an attempt at belittling and ultimately erasing an entire spectrum of identities. There definitely is culture but it is so removed from its roots I think. The culture is corporate and bought and sold. Doesn’t seem authentic. Because the real “American” culture is that of the native Americans. The “modern” culture of America is a mix from European nations from where the colonizers and land-thief came from, plus the culture from African slaves. All the dance, folk songs, food, were invented later (19th century onwards) by modifying and mixing older European culture. Cus of stereotypes. When people glorify and celebrate POLITICIANS like it’s a religion there’s not much else to really view other than 0 culture It’s very apparent what the culture is to those of us not fitting the description lol; but the only time I’ve experienced ppl denying it exists is from people in it. They seem to often get irate when you point out THEIR way isn’t the only way (or even the most sensible way or the way some of us like doing things)
White Americans do not have a unified culture. We are all over a huge landmass. We have culture for sure though. I am just curious because even tho ‘America has no culture’ is associated with white ppl only, there aren’t many of them colors left. So, before anyone decides to blame the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this white man bad, look at the lines ppl have across the border to get thru a culture less country. Want to know what the American culture is – FREEDOM! Grfoh if you can’t respect it then lol Which white Americans? Because I guaranfuckingtee you my white American culture is vastly and thankfully different from that of rednecks, or hillbillies, or Californians, or Seattlites, or so-called white trash, or Juggalos, or hippies, or Mormons, or Texans or… White Americans? Do you mean Turkish, Italian, Irish, European, Arabs, Pakistanis, Spanish, Irani… – Americans?
There are so many types of White Americans, do you mean in general terms? I don’t think we can group all White Americans and judge them as one. Does that also include light-complected people or only people from certain haplogroups? I see a lot of white people, but they aren’t descendants of the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this Caucasus regions. I may be wrong, but I think a large part of it is because America is so massive and White is so ambiguous. Imagine asking if white people who are English, Scots, or Irish what their unified culture is. There are some similarities, but it’s still very much distinct. As such, white people in Pittsburgh are going to be different than the ones in Boston, where Pittsburgh has a lot of Polish descendants and Boston has a lot of Irish ancestry. Many black Americans have at least one major thing in common, and that’s slavery. An obscene amount of humans were bought and sold, and many tried to kill their culture, so they forged new ones. Native Americans are somewhat similar, in that they too were forcibly moved and their culture persecuted, though a significant amount of people with American Indian ancestry are still able to trace their roots to specific tribes.
Thus, there’s not really a “White American” culture (beyond colonizing and enforcing/benefitting from slavery) as much as there’s just American culture, and even that can feel highly dependent on the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this region of America you reside in. In my experience, only white people ask this question because they hate it when minorities are given a spotlight in any way that they don’t feel they also receive. Imo, there’s lots of white culture in Europe. American white culture is mostly that of colonizing, and struggle foods while they paved their way through a country they didn’t own. White culture is very different from white American culture. Before anyone jumps on me for hating white people, I am white. I’m just not disillusioned to think I’m special.
I noticed that a lot of white American culture is based on a distant memory of other cultures that Americans somehow pervert; known celebrations like St Patrick’s Day (bringing Christianity to Ireland), Cinco de Mayo (celebrating a Mexican military victory over the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this French), Halloween (mix of pagan holiday and Catholic All Hallows Eve). Names in America are a mess. We don’t seem to know (or care) that names have any meaning, and we just go with what sounds nice while being completely oblivious to the underlying meaning behind it, or just make stuff up (r/tragedeigh) America does have its own culture, but so much of it is a fabrication of other cultures in which something is lost in translation. What people mean is that a lot of white Americans who don’t know their background are just that, white & American. Their American culture is shared amongst all Americans of varying religions, races, ethnicities, immigration status, etc.
They have a big culture. They like vapes, McDonalds, the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this gym, Jersey Shore, Grill burgers and hot dogs and NFL, Baseball and NBA and most importantly their love/hate for politics. You have to be an extremist, no middle ground Because I live in California so I can’t really identify things in my culture that I would identify with due to being white that someone of a different race in cali wouldnt I think people do acknowledge distinct cultures within America as having a culture, like as in Cajun people, the Amish, Italian Americans, Jews in America, etc. It is the suburban WASP culture that is seen as ” not having an identity, no culture.” There is nothing that unifies all of “white people” collectively and culturally, except when they feel the need to band together for reasons of hate and intolerance.
Because the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this culture they/we have was built on the genocide of many other North and South American indigenous cultures White isn’t a real thing. Italians, Irish, southern, northern, Californian, Texan. Those are cultures and often very different. White is just an appearance and has nothing to do with culture or heritage. Look at the movie My Cousin Vinny. It’s about culture shock between southerners and a dude from New York. They’re white but not a monolith. Plus there’s the one-drop rule. The one-drop rule was a legal principle of racial classification that was prominent in the 20th-century United States. It asserted that any person with even one ancestor of black ancestry is considered black. Go back far enough almost no one is white by that standard. Don’t ask why being black is real and white isn’t. If I know this (Texas public school) then you do too or you’re willfully ignorant. I can provide resources if need be.
White American culture is the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this dominant global culture. Almost all aspects of people’s lives today are derived from American culture. For instance, Indonesians love the malls, wear jeans, tshirts and sneakers, etc., primarily watch hollywood movies, watch American TV series, listen to American music, etc. If you ask a White person to describe White culture, he or she will either start describing things that are European or just American. i mean a lot are only a 2-3 generations in and forget everything from the culture they came form. I don’t blame them because most aren’t in similar communities that also celebrate it. And most just do like generic holidays like Christmas or thanksgiving or st patricks day where they just want an excuse to get drunk. As a “white” American I’m not sure what my “culture is. Basically I’m ,l Celtic, American Indian, Germanic (British). Italian and of course 5th generation Texan, Yee Haw. I think Americans are still developing a culture. We are a racial, nationality blended people who share different traditions that have yet to coalesce into a definable “culture”. IMHO
When we saw White, we of course mean white people who’ve been here 100+ years. Obviously the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this Serbian guy down the street still holds their own culture. And because white people have been here for a long ass time, their ancestral culture has been morphed into American culture 100% and they usually have 0 ties to the motherland. Meanwhile, all recent American immigrants from Mexico, Asia, Middle East are all relatively fresh off the boat, so they have a more direct line back to the motherland and its culture. In 100 years though, these kids of the grandkids will morph into 100% American. So in other words, it’s not so much about white vs black vs Asian but it’s more about how long they’ve been in the US.
What do you mean by white? In any circles , especially larger ones in the The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs St Louis Blues Vs Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Quarter Finals Mascots shirt Apart from…,I will love this past, would probably discount certain identities you consider as white, as not white. Even among the fair skinned folk have their own cultures that can be arbitrary. Like the Amish, older Protestants, and even quakers. And to imagine that the institution of slavery being present or not has its own factor into the development of the evolution of culture. The southernly gentleman wasn’t a Slice of culture that flourished because they too(gentlemen with a slow southern drawl )were working the fields. instead those folks were busy with sipping on a Mint Julips overlooking their generation wealth. Now those places make profitable wedding venues lol. The culture of that time still lives on but isn’t mainstream like the cultures before it.
