I saw a post recently that sort of relates with the Tampa Bay Champs 2021 Ice Hockey Shirt moreover I will buy this word “female.” Using it as an adjective is different than as a noun; if you’d said “that big Black over there,” it would be a different story. It’s only racist for racists. Their pause tells a lot more about what they think when referring to a black gentleman than about your use of a simple adjective in a fully appropriate context. That’s not racist, but I am not at all surprised at the reaction. We (society in the US) have become so sensitive about the concept of race that even mentioning it is considered wrong You can just ask “Did I say something wrong” or “Why is that offensive”. If they’re offended on behalf of a person none of them actually knows I say that they’re the ones who are gate keeping

Tampa Bay Champs 2021 Ice Hockey Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

It shouldn’t be, since calling someone African American is equally strange imo, not many ways of describing ppl. Maybe there is but no one told me Nah, if a group of black guys was talking about someone and described them as white it wouldn’t be weird either. It’s just a description of how someone looks, there’s nothing wrong with that. It does depend how you say it though, because if you say it in a certain way it could perhaps imply that you did mean it in a racist way especially if English isn’t your first language and you might not get the Tampa Bay Champs 2021 Ice Hockey Shirt moreover I will buy this subtleties of the language. Describing someone as a ‘big black guy’ isn’t any more racist than describing someone as a ‘short white girl’, or any number of other descriptions that are literally accurate. I don’t think what you said was racist at all. Like you said, it’s a description. How else are you supposed to ask who’s who without knowing that person’s name?
