I took 26 credit hours in one semester the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this fall of senior year, or I wouldn’t have had the right pre-read for my keystone spring classes, and the Dean was notorious for not working with people. Aerospace engineering and was also in the Navy at the time. Ironically the easiest workload to manage out of all 4 years, because I couldn’t even think about procrastinating, but that shit sucked. My 21 hour semester was the worst but for the same reasons it was more manageable, I just literally could not ever afford to slack off I don’t think I had an unscheduled second between schoolwork, work, extracurriculars, eating, drinking and sleep. Sometimes you had to pregame in the library while finishing the paper, because the scheduled party time started at 11, but the paper was due at 11:30.
Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt details
“earning Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Theater Studies, Linguistics, Psychology,” — was expecting them to be all science or all liberal arts… Homie picked 5 unrelated fields. The CS degree helped him with just about everything except maybe the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this theater. With CS he should’ve been able to do more in the research realms of psych, cognitive science, and I’d imagine linguistics. Theatre classes are really good for soft skills like relationship building, communication, and confidence. Research as well if he studied dramaturgy. I took a linguistics course optionally in undergrad just to fill out a semester and I was a bit blown away by just how complex the field is. Went through some Great Courses and books by John McWhorter in particular after that class and I went from not consciously thinking about linguistics to regularly appreciating it. New Guinea in particular, in my mind, went from some tropical island with interesting biodiversity that my grandpa spent some time on in WW2 to “Holy shit this place has an incomprehensible explosion of human culture, with more than 10% of the ~7,000 languages in the world, in an area a bit larger than Texas.” I can’t read or watch any space-faring scifi without wondering how human languages will change and skew in the future now. I think it’s likely we’re at a tiny blip on the human timeline where we’re relatively highly interconnected, which is why linguistics experts believe a lot of uncommon languages will die off, but I think that trend might reverse if we become some interstellar species in the distant future. What happens to languages in a colony light years isolated from any other media broadcasts? If the Mormons build a giant intergenerational colony ship like in The Expanse, what do their languages (especially English) look like after several hundred years of isolation? And the Belters in The Expanse use a variety of fake creoles that the authors did a pretty darn good job of making believable.
Lots of cool things to think about. It also made me way more open-minded to hearing new slang, even if I still roll my eyes at some of it. just how much interdisciplinary requirements there are for degrees in general. he can share a lot of the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this non core subjects across the degrees I don’t want to undersell how impressive this is, but there is definitely overlap between cog sci, linguistics, and psychology, and probably overlap between CS and cog sci. Not sure how theater fits in. They’re not totally unrelated. Classes from Computer Science and Linguistics would definitely apply to a Cognitive Science degree. Still an impressive feat. Source: took Cognitive Science classes around the same time. I’m sure the degree looks very different today.

How to buy this Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt
My cognitive science program requires classes in computer science, linguistics, and psychology. I picked cogsci because I loved the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this interdisciplinary nature and the way they are all different perspectives on the study of the mind. I went to UConn for engineering, and I remember my Intro to Engineering professor telling us about him in class as a cautionary tale to live an ethical life outside of engineering. He took 36 credits a semester, which at UConn is 10-12 classes. Absolute insanity. interesting. what about his life outside of engineering wasnt ethical?guess i shouldnt be surprised when an engineering professor and student dont use the word “ethically” properly. Well if you wanna talk ethics that can really be anything. Aristotle believed an ethical life was hitting the mark you create for yourself. If this kids mark was drowning in a quarry then Aristotle agrees. Ethics has a different meaning for almost every single philosopher.
Saying ‘live a life outside of engineering’ leaves open the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this possibility of an unethical life outside of engineering. So the professor was saying ‘have a life outside of engineering, and make it an ethical one’. How is this not used correctly. How you spend your time on Earth, both for yourself and how it impacts others are covered by ethics. Heck, even watching the show The Good Place will explain that this certainly falls under the definition of ethics. An ethical life is one which leads to the most flourishing, and that requires having balance. I think the usage is more than appropriate here. From what I remember, the professor said he was drinking the night he died, and said something like “don’t make stupid decisions because you don’t know what’s going to happen”. After looking at the Wikipedia page I don’t think that’s true, and if so it’s a fucked up thing for the professor to say, but it made for a compelling story at the time. I knew him, I wasn’t there that night, but they had been drinking, no one was swimming- it was midnight. Devin went off for unknown reasons, (possibly to relieve himself) and he fell, likely hit his head, after a while when he didn’t come back everyone panicked. He didn’t know how to swim at all, he wouldn’t have gone into the water on purpose it was 10’ deep.
Never understood why newspapers and things said they were swimming, except other people that had gone swimming there had drowned. Honestly it’s extremely likely alcohol was involved. The incidence of alcohol in water related deaths is extremely high. Not sure it’s worthy of shaming the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this poor guy, but still a worthy warning. Never play in water without a flotation device nearby, especially whenever alcohol is involved. I think he was saying to have a life outside of engineering, but one that is ethical. Like he was saying don’t go wild and crazy or break the law, just touch some grass once in a while Just a quick guess, but potentially they were trespassing. Where I am, gravel pits are usually fenced off to the public with posted no trespassing signs. Yeah I feel like any gravel pit that’s full of water usually has a history of people drowning in it. The one near me where I grew up had multiple people drown in it over the years. Also, it was near a dump so that water was probably absolutely disgusting and polluted. if thats really the point the prof was making and used the word “ethically” to criticize the young man’s decision to swim with friends the summer after his graduation from college then that professor can fuck off. i hope the word choice is being conflated here. if thats really the point the prof was making and was using the word “ethically” then… well fuck that person. goodness.
So if you apply that to your life outside of engineering, one could argue swimming in a gravel pit quarry is not safe for the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this public. It’s been awhile since I received this warning. If I remember right, they’re saying that devoting all your time to work and not spending time with family and loved ones is a kind of ethical failing. In a way, you are prioritizing yourself over your loved ones. Listen, you’re selling yourself short if you don’t aspire to be an enlightened genius insufferable asshole like James Franco’s extremely legitimate 62 credits per semester courseload. Don’t know about US universities but in Ireland last semester I had 8 classes, none of them clashed. Some days I’d have like 3 or 4 lectures for example!
Not even considering office hours. There’s no way he could attend those…and for some professors it’s almost required. I’m surprised he was allowed, I had to apply to take one extra class over the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this credit hours and was only allowed because it was choir. I get why some people find it strange how someone drowns in still water but if he was swimming in a quarry with friends there seems to be a good chance that he was drunk. Even very smart 20-year-olds can have dumb accidents when drunk. Many of us should count ourselves lucky to have survived that period of our lives. I know I do. Some quarry’s can be deep and have very cold and dark water just 3-4 meter below the surface. I have heard of several people drowning in quarry’s. It’s been speculated that people diving down hits the cold dark water and get disoriented and drown. I scuba dive in an old quarry. About 20 ft down you hit the first thermocline and it gets noticing colder. About another 25ft down from there is another one. Without hitting their head on something or strong current, it’s a little hard to imagine a breathing, adequate swimmer just jumping in and dying. However I live near Lake Michigan and every year we have boaters jump off for a swim and never come back up. Some people. Speculate it’s the shock of cold water because it can freeze you up a second / take your breath away – while also just going under water that’s a bad combo if you aren’t expecting it. I wonder if he had clothes on / too much weight and couldn’t overcome being pulled down from the weight and then as air escapes your lungs you become even less buoyant.
Yeah it’s absolutely the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this cold water. I sail and it’s one of the things you’re taught – you wear a life preserver any time there’s danger of you going in cold water, because once you do your body freezes up from the shock Cold water can kill you in literal seconds. It’s exactly what the person above described but the name is cold shock. When you fall or jump into cold water your body’s natural instinct is to gasp, which leads to you hauling water into your lungs immediately. People that dive or get into cold water a lot train their bodies to resist the urge, and it’s still very dangerous. According to the news report following his death, his body was pulled from the water at 3am. His wikipedia also quotes his sister as stating that Gaines was not a swimmer. It seems that not knowing how to swim and trying to do so at night contributed to his death. My generation of pro snowboarders when we were 20 we were doing 50-60 foot cliff drops, which is obviously no big deal now, shooting at Donner summit, dude after me who left Cal Tech to pursue a skiing career, dropped 10 feet to left of landing instead of hitting 10 feet of fresh powder, he hit 2 feet wind swept under granite, chest compacted to head, horrible day.
No matter your education most males in our 20’s are total idiots, how may of us here survived avoidable car wrecks, not following clear instructions in military or even not looking before crossing the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this street? Doesn’t even have to be alcohol, mid swim leg cramps are incredibly dangerous. Nearly died myself that way cliff jumping at a quarry and my leg cramped and just stopped working (probably a mix of adrenaline, dehydration, and shock). This one specific time when I lived in Austin I got so drunk I had to take an uber home, but didn’t change my address after I moved sending me a 30 minute drive in the opposite direction. I attempted to change my address and order another Uber, but I couldn’t figure out how to change it in my drunken state. I walked to the closest H‑E‑B that was just a 10 minute walk to decide what I wanted to do. I decided to leave the brightly lit parking lot of the H‑E‑B to walk back home, a damn near 7 hour trek. I thought it was a good idea. I had to walk through underpasses filled with some crazy people, cross multiple streets, I got lost, decided to chill out in front of a P-Terrys, and almost got hit by a car running a red. My phone was close to dying but but the time I got back downtown, I had sobered up enough to fix my address and order another Uber.
Got home at 6 am and had to go to work at 1 later that day. Which for some reason I did. Took another Uber back to my car. Probably spent close to a $100 just taking Ubers around for the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this night. Looking back I find it funny, but I was going through a rough time in my life, obviously, but holy shit what a dumbass thing to do. Basically the nearby river flooded years ago and the quarry had 200 feet of water in it. It was converted to a water park. They now require life preserves to even enter. Wrong quarry. You are thinking about brownstone in portland- which is now an adventure park ( The death occurred at a pond in a small quarry in Deep River. Grew up a couple towns over, been to the quarry in question but never jumped. Used to ride my dirtbike around the dirt piles at the quarry in question and into Pine Ledge Park. Coordinates are 41.371,-72.470.
Here is an image of Devin Gaines when he graduated in 2007. Such a sad ending to an amazing life. Don’t swim in quarries. It’s extremely dangerous for a multitude of reasons. Not to mention the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this water itself can be toxic. I just read an article that said the water in an English quarry was tested and it had the pH of bleach. It’s not necessarily the same. pH alone doesn’t tell you if something is super dangerous. Lemon juice has a pH of 2-3 and can safely be consumed. HF has a pH of 3.27 and can cause extreme burns, destroy your bones, and do all sorts of other terrible things to you. Lemon juice can only be safely consumed in small quantities if it’s not diluted. Even when it’s diluted, too much lemon water can cause weakened tooth enamel and tooth decay. If you swam in lemon juice, it would absolutely cause major skin irritation if you stayed in for more than a few minutes and didn’t rinse off afterwards. If you didn’t rinse off and went in the sun, you’d end up in the hospital from the burns.
That’s not to mention how much pain you’d be in from having prolonged acidic exposure on your eyes and genitals. Until you took a shower, the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this little bits of acid will slowly migrate down your forehead and eyelids into your eyes. Your genitals would be in a world of irritation if they don’t end up getting thrush or some other condition as a result. Impressive credit overlap. I think a typical BS is 110-130 credits. He averaged 55 per degree. I concurrently earned two BSs in 4.5 years for a total of 178 credits or 89 per degree. 354 credits. I dicked around in college. Premed major, business major, IT major. Dropped out, graduated eventually with IT I don’t even use :/ Wait, 354 credits? What the firetruck? How long did it take? Did you regret any of it, did you like it, …? Sorry for all the questions, just kind of astounded lol
Back in the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this day where schools didn’t care how long you took as long as your account was current. I did all the premed requirements, decided that weren’t it, all the business major requirements, nah, then the information systems requirements. Wasn’t really a plan to, just I had no idea what i wanted to be. Dropped out, took time off in between cause being a “professional student” is just borrowed time. Graduated hs in 89. Didn’t get around to graduating college until 2003 lol. IT degree. And I don’t even work in IT :/ a degree at uconn is 120 credits for most of the colleges. i graduated with two degrees and it was 150 credits. i didn’t even know more than two was an option lmao In most universities you can get approval from the Dean for more. The cap is there just to keep students from putting more on their plate than they can handle. My uni capped credits but all you had to do was get a form approved by a couple people and have good grades to override it.
Swimming in quarries is extremely dangerous. The water is a lot colder than ordinary water due to the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this depth of the quarries Quarries definitely qualify as dangerous places you shouldn’t swim in. Growing up we had several drownings at our local ones. They were fenced off and patrolled but when there’s a will there’s a way. The sides are often so steep that it’s hard to climb out and you don’t know what’s under the water. Combine that with drinking and there’s a bit of risk. Remember someone hitting their head on a dive and drowning as well as one where they swam alone and couldn’t get out. I may have partied down at one myself back in the day. Still don’t like the taste of peppermint schnapps to this day.
Not anymore we don’t. We held a plebiscite and passed legislation in 1963 that legally established sex is holier than god. That is why today we say, “don’t give a fuck”. You’re in violation of Federal law. The vulgarity enforcement squad has been alerted and dispatched to your current location. The vulgarity enforcement squad would be operating out of their jurisdiction. Technically, using God’s name in vain is profanity – profaning what is holy. Nowadays, you can find an Englishman on 3 points: big gut, bad teeth and lacklustre hair (or is bald). Americans tend to not know when is the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this time to turn the volume down a notch. Or six notches. The way they speak is kind of a simple way to know. And not the accent. The way they speak, like everything is a point of interest and how they reassure you your point is valid and stuff like that. It’s not a bad thing btw. For all our bad political discourse we are usually geared towards being polite and offering reassurances to others. Americans have a specific lean. They put weight on one leg and lean or sometimes cross their foot over the other and lean. I keep seeing this fun fact, but it’s still confusing to me like that’s just a normal lean. What other way is there to lean that’s not stereotypical American. Rip I’m to far in
Accent:- Duh ! It’s unique and very very well known and their accent permeates even non English languages too Names :- I ofthen find Americans have really unique names like Brad , Ken or Kyle for men and Nysha , Karen and Ally for women. Appearance:- clothing is often either basic centred around casual comfort or branded high end items also centred around comfort along with bright / flashy colours maybe Interesting! Those men’s names are pretty standard here. I’ve known at least a few of each. And Karen is very common. It’s funny to think they’re considered unique abroad, but I guess they would be. Manner of speaking and style of dressing usually Americans have a very interesting style in dressing which is very different from all others. Particularly when they vacation in Denmark during the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this summer. They always wear shorts and short sleeved shirts with colours that don’t match and a giant overpacked backpack. Like they’re about to hike the appalachians even though they’re just going to the beach. Aw that’s so cool! I hope you like it! I know there are different subs for different cities and I’m sure they’ll help you if you have questions about what to do while you’re there. Are you on vacation? Yes and no. I have to go to the company office in Germany, but I am taking an extra week to tour around with some family members. I have never been to Denmark, so we plan to fly into Copenhagen and hang out there a few days.
Nice. Copenhagen is a great place for tourists – there’s a ton of stuff, especially the Sumo wrestlers and a bowl of ramen Shirt Also,I will get this food scene over there is wild. Norwegian and Danish are closely related, so you might pick up some words and meanings here and there, but I guess that around 99% of all Danes speak English, but we will be amazed if a tourist puts in the effort to learn our language, or some closely related like Swedish. More often than not we will actually switch over to English to accomodate, so just tell us that you’d like to speak Norwegian/Danish. I’m just hoping I will understand simple instructions, signs or waiter questions, I can’t do much conversationally. I haven’t had to snakker Norsk since the late 90s. I imagine we will be pegged as Americans anyway. My wife and I are fairly short and fit, the other 2 are more typically American in…uh, stature.
