He just don’t want too. He don’t want to be in a relationship, he wants a new mom in his life. Not being able to cook and expecting you to be his caretaker are two different things. I think it would be a little harsh to dump someone for not being able to cook (though it’s valid to break up for any reason and better than staying with someone who irks you to the Stranger park Essential T-Shirt But I will love this point of alienation), but this is not that. Our partners can always learn, but some choose not to and then act like you’re the asshole because you expect an equal partnership.

You’re not shaming him for his inability to cook. You shamed him for his laziness, refusal to do any chores, and weaponized incompetence.
