You have to pay money on any stock that is sold, which, assuming that’s how he liquidated the Stihl Scrat Ice Age Shirt moreover I will buy this cash used for this purchase, is exactly what he will have to do. If he hasn’t liquidated the stock, he doesn’t have to pay the taxes yet. It’s what’s referred to as “unrealized gains.” He avoids paying most capital gains or selling stocks through a series of loan and property tax schemes not accessible to average Americans. At least he tries to help the planet. Bezos pulls this shit and doesn’t do anything to help the planet or his employees The mega-wealthy often use their assets as collateral for very favorable loans. They then live on and spend that loaned money that costs them very little to borrow and therefore never have to ‘realize’ any taxable appreciation of their assets, or only have to do so in extremely small quantities. They can use this method and others to never have to ‘realize’ and appreciation and therefore not pay taxes on their amassed wealth and its increases in value but are still able to leverage that wealth to have money to spend.

It’s sad cuz there’s people who straight up believe that he doesn’t, “have a paycheck” or “own a home” or whatever other bs. He lauches cars into space for fun he can spend 44 billion on a whim he definitely has the Stihl Scrat Ice Age Shirt moreover I will buy this money and it definitely belongs to him. You do realize musk payed more taxes than anyone in American history last year right? And his net worth is different than cash. It’s an estimated value based on assets. He has purchasing leverage not purchasing power like if it was bills “Realized” vs “Unrealized” Gains – Not “Real” versus “fake” Money. Very different things. The only thing fake here, is your “analysis.” You would be less confused and frustrated if you actually understood what you were bitching about. All you are accomplishing here is spreading misinformation and anger.
