Does repug hypocrisy know no bounds? They keep using the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this word freedom, yet they constantly want to police people they don’t like. The rule list from the personal freedoms and small government crowd is getting long, complicated, and really confusing. Texas conservatism is a joke. It’s foundation is not facts or reason, but how the rules can be interpreted so as to give as much freedom to the holder of power to execute its whim and will upon others. You can argue it, but generally if it’s something that cannot be applied to all conservatives, then they go looking for the loophole that lets them get around the roadblock and do the thing they wanted. In this case, you have the CROWN act that bans discrimination, so the judge’s loophole is the length of hair, giving them the excuse they need to ignore the discrimination and uphold their own power to limit the freedom of something that doesn’t apply to them.
Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt: Unleash Your Dinosaur Style
This would have been nice 33 years ago so I could have long hair but I guess it’s cool that kids will benefit at least. Federal Discrimination Law – It is illegal to discriminate on the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, or political affiliation. Solicit or consider employment recommendations based on factors other than personal knowledge or records of job related abilities or characteristics. This pisses me off so much. I am a long-haired guy living in TX. This is literally what the CROWN Act was made for. Also I have a story from high school. I dyed a inch thick line center of my head, like a skunk. I was called into the office with a few principals and was told that because there was nothing in the student handbook about it I would be “allowed to keep it”. A new rule was put in the next year that males would not be allowed to dye their hair unless it could be washed out immediately with soap and water. This is bonkers as a Nordic male in the U.S. who enjoys my bit past shoulder length hair, this is insanity. The length of a man’s hair based on their personal choices should in no way impact their access to education.
396 more repliesAt this point the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this rest of us need to declare ourselves religiously affiliated with the church of Anti-Republicanism. Its the only way we get the right to not be controlled by conservatives in every aspect of our lives. wow. a GOP led state… a political party that claims to be all about freedoms… sure doesn’t seem like they’re all that into freedoms. weird. remember how they advocated for no mask mandate. now they’re advocating for hair length mandate… ironic. On a serious note the whole thing on the contrasting treatment between girl and boy hair has been stupid forever. Schools like this are hiding skeletons in the closet over this issue like racism and sexual misconduct. An example of systemic racism for those who want to keep denying it. Apparently corporations calling natural black hair unprofessional wasn’t enough.

Prolifers constantly whine about the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this control of government and yet, they love micromanaging the lives of people. Biggest hypocrites in the world. Ignore what was done to women rights, pay no attention to the men behind the curtain! Texas needs to purge right wing extremist from every office. Republicans, Dems : anyone other than these far right “small government” extremist, dictating lifestyles and our own human bodies, through legislation and far right extremist judges! This is just pure racism. Hair has nothing to do with education. Unless it’s so long that people are tripping over it, hair is nobody else’s business. Wild that a public government run institution can dictate hair length/style of anyone… where do they get off?!?
this is just an “erasure of the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this self” thing. Elan school type shit. these motherfuckers are reading the books on psychological human control. Was curious what the comments were on Fox. So pulled up an article on this issue on Fox’s site. Not a ton of comments, but seemed evenly split between, ‘What a waste of time’ and ‘The rules apply to everyone, so just follow the rules’ What’s the problem with males having long hairs? Why some people feel the urge to restrict others with something that doesn’t really impact them in anyway? Where they are fucking up in Texas is they need to invent hair gun holsters, if you can carry a gun in your hair they would encourage it being long Does this mean these judicial clowns think they can also restrict females from having short hair? Texas is just throwing sht at the wall and seeing how much of it will stick. Knowing Texas, they will eventually use the policy to keep trans girls from growing their hair out by making it so boy and girl dress codes are sex at birth. For many Native Americans that would be a violation of their religious beliefs and has already been ruled unconstitutional. They’re arguing that it only applies to Native Americans though. Despite the fact that many Ancestral African beliefs are almost word for word the same as our indigenous reasons for not cutting our hair.
Again. Texas showing us how much they deserve to be their own country, and not be affiliated with the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this rest of the union. In January, Poole placed a full page ad in the Houston Chronicle, arguing that “being an American requires conformity with the positive benefit of unity,” CNN previously reported. Is the irony of George suing Barbers Hill school district, being lost on anyone? No, no the irony is iron clad. What an insult to us all. That we have to plead and ask and beg for our basic civil rights. Maybe even go financially bankrupt in courts just trying to get basic decency. This school district is a fucking embarrassment. They’re relying on the most anal-retentive interpretation of a law clearly designed to stop this kind of discrimination. And this motherfucking judge. Isn’t it funny that when it’s an issue they’re ideologically aligned with these originalist judges are filling in the gaps like it was fucking mad libs, but when it’s not all of a sudden they’re like, hmm, sorry, the law don’t say a dog can’t play basketball. The only thing more embarrassing is the superintendent of the school district taking out a full page ad in the chronicle and proceeding to show HIS WHOLE ASS with shit like this: “Poole wrote that districts with a traditional dress code are safer and have higher academic performance, and that “being an American requires conformity.”
First off, correlation vs. causation motherfucker and second off, what?? Being an American requires conformity?? Oh yeah, glad to know we really conformed to English rule during the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this American revolution… really prepared us for all the conforming we’d do in WWII! Disingenuous arguments heaped on top of originalist bullshit nestled cozily in the lap of systemic racism. Ridiculous. Got to have short hair and be clean shaven to prepare to go to college. To go to college to grow your hair and beard long. …What….? How is this any teacher’s fault?? And if you think teachers don’t have dress code and presentation rules they have to follow then oh boy do I have some news for you. “Darryl made this statement, and told me this straight up with tears in his eyes, ‘All because of my hair? I can’t get my education because of hair? I cannot be around other peers and enjoy my junior year, because of my hair?’” Oh fffs! It’s always freaking TEXAS! Please let them secede from the union. I don’t want my Blue State financially supporting these assholes anymore. Over half of us don’t agree with this shit either, unfortunately the state is gerrymandered to hell and back so our votes don’t count. Barbers Hill Independent School District Superintendent Greg Poole said the ruling “validated our position that the district’s dress code does not violate the CROWN Act and that the CROWN Act does not give students unlimited self-expression.”
What about width of hair? Is this same policy applied to caucasian students (legit question since I’m too lazy to read the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this whole article)? Honestly, I bet half the decision was the judge thinking this could be a way to stop trans girls growing their hair out Poole previously told CNN “hair length of male students is only constitutionally protected for Native American students. NEWS FLASH. The moment enslaved people were brought to the USA and were forced forsake their native language, culture and religion, they and all their children after them, became for all intent and purposes native fucking americans. These kinds is events are extremely pointless to an extent. The people that live in all 52 states should look into their right a lot more. They would see that the state has ownership of all its citizens. These cases are pointless because the state owns the rights to ultimately decide for its citizens. You may want your child to have control over how long their hair is but you yourself as a parent don’t even get that right to say because you have your child registered in a public system that removes their rights. This is just like the Olympics. You want to enter an event that has established rules but don’t want to abide by those rules. It really helps to take a deep dive into learning your rights as a human being and then learning how to execute those rights. If you want to have control of your private life then remove yourself from the public. The judges did nothing wrong here. How many people go into court without knowing about their rights? Is it a big deal to keep it short to get during your education? Have to wear clothes, do homework … after you graduate do what ever.
I think republicans confuse the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this word petit with petty. One means small, the other means all up in every tiny fucking detail. Morons. What are you all going to do about ‘y’all people”? Today, it’s this. Yesterday, it was ruling about the value of Jaahnavi Kandula’s life. I don’t understand the communal cowardice. This seems like poking the bear. They’re just hoping the federal government steps in and tells them they can’t discriminate. Then, they can get all up in arms about small government, while simultaneously being massively intruding government. I wouldn’t put much stock into the opinion of a local circuit judge on an issue like this. They’re elected officials and their job has no qualification requirements beyond being an attorney.
Glad that Texas has everything worked out in their education system as to have the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this time to make and enforce rules about haircuts. I attended a public high school in louisiana. All schools in Louisiana above grade kindergarten have uniforms. Even the public schools. When I was in high school in the early 2000s the school had rules on haie length and color. Guys had to be shaven. One year they were even trying to enforce that the girls shirts not be too tight. They would check this by walking around the classroom and asking each girl to stand up and extend their arms as high as they could. If their shirt came up and revealed their belly button they would be sent to the office. We all thought that was ridiculous as the only time the girl would actually do that kind of motion is if she was playing sports or something. And we all had separate clothes for PE anyway. The school eventually did away with that policy.
Absolutely absurd, the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this new law saying you were allowed to have these hairstyles absolutely was intended to apply to both boys and girls. No one thought it meant you were allowed to but not if you are a male child because your hair would then have been too long if not styled in this manner. Restricting the length is purely subjective. If it’s above the collar the length doesn’t matter. Unless they’ll be specific instructions for measuring hair, this ruling is just set to make the conservatives feel better. Conservatives at large don’t even know anything about black curly hair. Curly hair and straight hair aren’t measured the same. Curly hair can be straightened and measured or curled and measured. Regardless this is definitely race motivated. Guaranteed these judges haven’t even touched curly hair. Odd because we are told they believe that we are made in his image and he doesn’t make mistakes. But does that mean their god has bot sets of genitalia? Gods a hermaphrodite!
This is what I admire about the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this GOP they love a small government. Brb the mobile abortion van I ordered just pulled up. Likening the Crown Act, which embodies the very spirit of various equal protection & freedom of expression liberties, with Affirmative Action, which aimed to increase the attendance of minority students (a good thing in my book, but I do understand the blowback)… If one of the bill’s authors is there indicating that hair length was one of the primary concerns pushing forward the law, it sounds like the judge just wanted to be a politician rather than an arbiter. And why does being in a braid have anything to do with length though?? It appears like it’s short, so it should be treated as such
Meanwhile the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this conservatives will scream until they’re blue in the face that liberals are the ones trying to limit personal freedoms. Appeal this b.s. decision. Can a girl shave her head, or would that be a violation too? Fucking people and rules. Way to much infringement on individual rights in this country. We incarcerate more people than anyone else in the world. Yeah, land of the free! Boys got suspended for having hair over the collar when I first started jr. high. There must have been a court case or something because the next year they stopped harassing guys for it and by 9th grade many boys wore their hair well past their shoulders. They also stopped prohibiting girls from wearing pants about the same time 1971-72). Which, considering this was Oklahoma, still kinda surprises me. Such a stupid thing to worry about. They won’t do fuck all about schools being shot up, but a student with a hairstyle they don’t like….you better believe they will be on it like white on rice.
I remember an indigenous boy successfully suing the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this shit out of his school district for having his hair cut without consent. School and religion: Learn how to Get in Line, Stay in Line, DO WHAT YOU’RE TOLD, and be Good Little Consumers (Capitalist version). I’m a teacher in Canada. I have never, ever heard of a student being sanctioned because of their hairstyle. I’ve never even heard hairstyle mentioned as part of the dress code. This poor kid, I feel so bad for him. Why do they even care about his hairstyle? They can’t even let black people have their own hair. In 2024. It’s fucking hair. The school district simply cannot conduct business as usual if a kid has hair that is over a certain length. This is just in-your-face racism. Blatant. And not a shocker it’s in Texas!
If you want gender to be all about biology, different rules for different genders shouldn’t be a thing. Biology takes care of the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this differences, the rest is culture. In this case it’s cancel culture. The decision is a blow to Darryl George, a Houston-area high school student who sued the Barbers Hill Independent School District after he was suspended for months over the length of his locs hairstyle. “Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.” Why doesn’t he claim it’s a permanent whig glued to his scalp, and not real hair? Simply go around foolish regulations without breaking them.
first books, then abortions, then hair… going in a fast pace toward medival times.. will be a U country in a decade or two
I had a friend in high school who said he would speed like that on days he wanted to kill himself but “couldn’t get the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this nerve to intentionally do something.” So he was doing it with the intent to potentially get in a fatal accident. it depends. motivations and rationale for self-injurious behaviour play a big part. as someone who’s survived multiple attempts, one thought I always had was “I need to be quick and out of the way”. one of my biggest motivators was a persistent feeling that I was hurting people (especially those I love) simply by existing. so I had a big fear of passing in a way that would cause unnecessary direct harm to others This is something that people who haven’t been in that state don’t understand. By simply existing, you are hurting people. I really thought I was doing the world and those that I loved a favor by ridding them of myself in a permanent way.
From what I know, most suicidal people actually do care about the Steve Mcmichael Mongo Chicago Bears 76 1957 2025 Thank You For The Memories Signature shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this lives of others, they just don’t care about their own life. This is true. I struggle a lot with suicidal ideation and have for the majority of my life as I have major depressive disorder. What stops me is remembering how devastated I was after losing a family friend, and then when I lost my baby brother. Everyone that has the remotest connection to someone who commits suicide questions themselves as to whether or not they did enough to help the person. I could never do that to my friends and family and that has enabled me to be able to call my therapist or doctor as needed. But you can only think this is OK if you have a bad case of Main Character Syndrome and see all the other people on the road with you as disposable NPCs. Because if there’s a crash, you probably won’t be the only one killed or maimed.
