Also sorry for all the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this hate you’re getting in this comment section, you just let people know what worked for you, and you weren’t ‘preaching’ anything. BC isn’t for everyone, but as someone who has a hormone imbalance it’s a game changer for me. It’s a game changer for me too! thank you for your concern for my emotions all is well tho, I understand that people’s intentions are to help, even if the delivery is abrasive. Everyone be careful please. A rare but more common than u think side effect of birth control is death from blood clots/strokes. Even healthy women in their 20s died from this. Please know the risks! That is like a super rare worst-case scenario complication. Almost every woman I’ve known in my 30+ years of life has been on birth control and not a single one has had a stroke or blood clot from it. More recent research indicates that newer BC formulations have even less correlation with increased stroke risk.
Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt: Unleash Your Dinosaur Style
Yes, it’s good to know the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this risks, especially if you have additional risk factors (smoking, hypertension, obesity, etc)…but it is still an extraordinarily rare side effect. When I got my first iud in 2015, my skin exploded and I developed awful cystic acne. Was put on Spirolactone and perception retinal and it’s healed everything. It was the only side effect from the iud, I’ve otherwise had a really great experience with mine (minimal pain on implantation and removal, no falling out, no more period). The acne was unfortunate but at least I haven’t had any unwanted pregnancies! Yaz made me loose 70% of my hair – now it’s (almost) a year later and it is still not growing back. I went on it because I wanted better skin. Your skin looks great! My sister had really bad cystic acne also. Like your first pic but essentially all over. She’s 14 months older and I always felt so bad because I always had clear skin. I would maybe get a pimple once in a blue moon. She tried everything also and I saw how it affected her self esteem. She got on birth control because she had terrible periods. And her skin cleared up tremendously on it as well. Your skin looks damn good in your second pic.
Birth control is the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this only thing keeping me alive and functioning lol. I have endometriosis and PCOS, so periods are a literal death sentence for me. Since my surgery for endo, I’ve been taking it daily at a dosage that stops my periods, which is the only way to avoid the agony that comes with it. I’d be fully bedridden without it. So that means it was hormonal? There’s a new topical cream called Winlevi, my derm prescribed it to me. Just throwing it out there for men and those who can’t take birth control, worth asking. Awe first pic i said “poor thing” cause I had skin like this. Now granted mine has gotten a little better but not much but your second pic. I couldn’t read fast enough to see what you did! Also screenshot the info. Time to go back on birth control but yas instead this time

Everyone’s experience on birth control is completely different because all of our bodies are completely different. OP, my situation is very similar to yours. I never had cystic acne but my acne was stubborn and I started getting it at like 15. Then at 18, I got on bc to prevent pregnancy and it completely clearing up my skin was a side effect I was unaware of and I was so happy!! I’m 27 now, still on the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this same brand (generic form of Yaz called Nikki), and thankfully have not had any issues up until now. But people need to realize that there’s a lot of deciding factors playing into women opting for oral contraceptives and the “nAtUrAL iS tHe bEsT,” crowd need to realize that route isn’t for everyone for a myriad of reasons and that’s okay. The whole thing reeks of the breastfeeding mom crowd that looks down on moms who use formula.
I’m happy to hear i’m not alone in my acne journey, and i’m so happy to hear you were able to resolve it! I definitely agree that the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this benefits and detriments of birth control are entirely a case by case basis. We consume synthetic things every day, and while monitoring what we put in our bodies is important, BC offered me a solution to painful, debilitating issue. I guarantee at least half the people commenting about the dangers of BC have eaten fast food, and hit a vape before. But alas, internet hypocrisy isn’t going anywhere. You have beautiful skin and I’m so glad birth control works for you but when I tried it years ago, all it did was fuck up my libido lol. It didn’t help my acne whatsoever and then when I found out it can make you have blood clots I got off it asap
Omg it fucked my libido up so hard and I also COULD NOT get wet lol. It also gave me reoccurring yeast infections and ovarian cysts all which cleared up after getting off bc Yeah it cleared up my acne but then I had to get off it for the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this side effects and now my acne is worse than ever and I’m currently on accutane soooooooo it’s just a bandaid not a solution sorry I’m sorry you had that experience! I hope you have better luck than I did with accutane. I was on it as a teenager and it came right back in my 20s. Some people have better luck with it though, wishing you the best! Just as a PSA if you are a smoker BC is very dangerous. Doing both together can cause strokes. Someone at my high school had one fro smoking and raking BC.
Yaz did wonders for my skin when I took it, as well. It also helped improve my mood. Jot to be taken as medical advice for anyone reading, this was only my personal experience. Birth control can help some people with hormone regulation, and for others, can do the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this opposite. Omg my skin looked exactly like yours pre taking yaz!!! Well I take the generic version of it and it also changed my life. I did everything you did as well prior to getting on it So something that worked for me and changed my skin for the better is iS Clinical Active Serum. I didn’t use a whole bunch of other products, a good face cleanser AM & PM, active serum in the PM after the wash, and Niacinamide from the Ordinary in the AM. My acne REALLY cleared up, at an astonishing rate. The active serum is expensive, but it was worth it for me. Glad Yaz worked for you. I’ve been on birth control for about 5-6 years but my acne and rosacea have only gotten worse (ups and downs, but worse overall). I tried Yaz at first but I reacted pretty terribly to it. I’m on something else now but my cystic acne just doesn’t seem to go away
Just started Yaz 2 months ago for this Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this exact reason!!! Hormonal acne is out of control.. love your results!!! How long did it take to get these results? Fingers crossed for myself Serious caution about birth control pills: if you have a gene/family history of IBD (Chron’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis) your chance of it flaring and entering your life is very high after you stop using birth control. There’s a direct link and studies done on this. If you’re having a bad skin with acne, 1) clean your diet from sugar and milk 2) check your hormones 3) get yourself Tretinoin or Tazarotene prescription – they’ll clear your skin in 6 months plus will help with fighting photo aging and fine lines.
I tried both accutane and tretinoin and both were successful for a limited amount of time. Some users have told me that I will have the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this same experience with my birth control but after two years I’ve had no issues. I suppose all solutions to severe cases of acne are just bandaids Birth control can really create a lot more hormonal issues in the long run. It’s a band aid tbh. I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for this but you’d be better off focusing on balancing your hormones naturally because the various side effects of bc are not worth it imo. It took me a long time to heal from the 5 years I was on it. BC pills only mask, they stop the communication between your ovaries and hypothalamus. It was the same for me, when I stopped using them, I got bad acne I never had in my life. Happened twice, so that made me go back on it. But I was taking BC just for skin problems and there are other troubles linked to taking them (that I wish I knew then!!). I learned how to really care for my skin- by being gentle with it and use minimal products on it. I clean at night with Micellar water and use Dr Hauschker clarifying day oil in the morning. The second time I got off pills that lead to acne, my doctor prescribed me a cream called Clindoxyl and that really helped me clear it out. After that, I got on and off pills 2 other times (for protection reasons not acne) and both time was really scared to get flare ups like previously. But knowing how to care for my skin now, being super gentle and minimal, I had no problems. I’m pill free for almost 2 years now and never had a flare up like before, eating healthy, and I’m happy that I know about my menstrual cycles and now hiding it behind some chemical pills. Every women should learn about their cycles and how knowing about their cycles can tell them about themselves.
Ok, I rarely legit gasp out loud when scrolling Reddit, but daaaaaaaaaaang what a transformation! You have gorgeous skin. thank you SO MUCH!!!! that pic is unedited too! aside from some pitted scars i’m very fortunate to have gotten out of it with no discoloration scars! Congratulations on your results, but I don’t understand why everyone who is explaining why birth control can be dangerous to many are getting down voted. Everyone’s hormones are different. I would always recommend getting a full hormonal blood panel drawn by your GP. Birth control has many side effects-some more severe than others. Did you know some estrogen BC can cause vision loss? Ask me how I know. These people telling their stories are not trying to scare you, but warn you that having something as menial as clear skin may not be worth the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this major risk of heart failure or potential infertility. These are all things listed on BC info packets. I was 13 when I started BC because of how much pain my periods cause. Stopped when I was 21 because it took that long to catch up to me. I now deal with vision issues and heart murmurs because of it.
What are you doing for your scarring? I also got on Yaz about a year ago after trying everything under the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this sun for my cystic acne and, just like you, it has been life-changing! Now just dealing with the scars, and would love to hear what you’ve been doing for them 🙂 Yesssss it was the only thing that worked for me too. Was on it for over 15 years, never had any issues. Honestly it fixed all my health problems. So happy for you OP This is basically my story. For me, my acne is caused by PCOS so the only thing that kept it under control was birth control and Yaz/beyaz/Jazmin are the only ones that worked for me. I’m off birth control now because we’re trying to conceive and the acne is back. It’s not as bad as it was before but I think it’s because keep a very strict high-protein diet and limit carbs. I also get tca peels often and microneedle to help with the scars. As soon as i can get back on birth control i will. All I have to say is scrolling from before to after made my heart so absolutely happy for you. Thank you for sharing your journey, I think it will benefit others.
I hear what you’re saying but BC gave me mad anxiety and I felt I was losing it sometimes. It did help clear my skin somewhat but for me personally I can’t do it. Folks, please do your research on side effects of BC! Specifically the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this ones being recommended to you by your doctor. Wish I had done that. thank you! i’m sorry you had this experience, you may have better luck with another birth control with a different chemical composition. regardless, i wish you the best on your skin journey! Yaz is approved by the FDA to help reduce acne- for women that are desperate it might be a better thing to try before accutane. I was on yaz for years then came off it to get pregnant and don’t want to go back on it. So it’s been a journey ever since. Zinc has really helped!
People can’t stand it when the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this answer is birth control. It’s so harmful. I have deep ice pick scars all over my face because I fell for the anti-birth control BS for years. Skin has been amazing still being on a tricyclic and spiro (along with diligently sticking to GF DF). Happy for you! I used Acutane (Isotretinoin) and it healed my cystic acne. But it sounds like you already tried that medicine? If not, give it a go. It worked for my friends too I’ve been on Yasmin since I was 18. Had bad acne as a teenager. I’m now 37 with good skin and complexion. I once took a break from it for 6 months and my acne came back in full swing, felt like I had the bubonic plague all of a sudden, cysts all over my jaws and forehead. I genuinely don’t think I can live without it. I love hormonal birth control. There’s an insane amount of fear mongering that started with the antivax crowd but has since spiraled out of control, crazy
Yaz kept my skin clear for about a year, then I developed cystic acne, depression and insomnia. On a whim, I decided to stop mid pack, and the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this cystic acne and my other symptoms went away. Sometimes, you just have to try different ones to find the one that works best for you. Also take into account that sometimes hormonal changes can charge how they work even after great initial results. Yep I had cystic acne and since birth control i have zero. Yaz made me crazy but trycyclen lo helps me so much with my mood and skin. Yasmin is the only thing that works for me. I fought and fought and didn’t want to go on any birth control because there’s so much fear mongering and stigma about BC, but my cystic acne reached a peak in 2015/2016. I broke down and saw my doctor who prescribed me Yasmin (I did my own research and determined it would be the best option to try first) and an antibiotic in an effort to get my skin as clear as possible for my wedding. It cleared a bit, but I so deeply wish I had just started the pill that summer before my wedding because it literally only took 2 cycles for my skin to clear. I was scared of weight gain and my wedding dress already was a very tight fit so I waited until after to start it.
I went off it in 2022 because I was moving and and in between doctors. I thought maybe now that I’m in my 30s I won’t need it. And honestly? My skin was still fine for about a year! But gradually, the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this oil overproduction started up again and in the last few months the cysts returned. So, I’m back on Yasmin, almost though my first pack and already seeing an improvement again. Luckily I don’t want children (ironically I was scheduled to have my tubes removed because I thought me and BC were done!) So my doctor said I can take it right into menopause. I also lost a LOT of hair without connecting the dots (androgenic alopecia). Already noticing less hair in the shower as well. Sometimes, it’s just the only solid solution despite being a bandaid. I’m aware of the risks, I do not smoke and never have, am a healthy weight, no heart issues or blood pressure issues, eat relatively healthy and drink lots of water. The whole time I was on Yasmin before I had no real issues except some increased anxiety. It is what it is. Another option is Spiro but that has brutal side effects too so we literally cannot win
“We literally cannot win” is the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this damn TRUTH girl i feel you! I’m glad you were able to find a solution that works for you! I completely agree, it may not be the perfect solution but it’s the best we’ve got right now. Thanks for making me feel less alone in my journey See? We always knock birth control pills..when they keep our hormones that make our skin go haywire in check. I was put on it for my bad hormonal acne. I started getting cystic acne at 11. EVERYONE suddenly becomes a skincare expert and gives the most redundant “advice” like, “eat healthy, drink water, use GoAts MiLk SoAp”. People who feel the need to point it out like you don’t already know. My ex boyfriend’s mother felt the need to gossip about it behind my back and telling him how broken out I was. Yeah, I know, Mary. Thanks. No, it’s not caused by stress and it’s rude to ask. No, I don’t have acne because of dairy or chocolate. (I despise the taste of milk and cheese, don’t enjoy ice cream, rarely eat chocolate). The healthcare experts who say it’s hormonal but every single time I’ve had a whole panel of labs drawn, every thing comes back normal.
I’m glad you found something that works for you. If I could ask a genie for one wish it would to have genetically perfect skin. That’s such a blessing like people truly have no idea. Birth control literally doesn’t work for me. I get spotting without fail the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this entire time between periods and my periods are awful. Never again. I’m worried about whether the same thing will happen with other birth control methods. I wanted to add that I live a very clean lifestyle, exercise regularly, eat well and use minimal ingredient skin products. At one point I cut out gluten, dairy, sugar, and red meat to see if it would help – but still nothing. Even oral treatments like accutane and doxycycline seemed to work but only short term. Is Yaz a progesterone only pill or does it contain estrogen ? Also are u on a low dose? I feel like the secret to stopping acne is estrogen but my body can’t handle it due to the aura migraines I get
No, it is not a progesterone only pill unfortunately. I also suffered from migraines and this pill helped me significantly with them. Please talk to a professional and get blood work done before taking anything though. A solution is out there, whether it’s this or not. I promise Posts like this scare me lol I’ve been on the Stephen Curry X Kevin Durant X Klay Thompson The City cartoon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this birth control pill pretty much constantly since age 14, other than when I had my 2 IUDs. I’m 32 and I have no idea how my body even functions normally without the pill or some sort of hormone. I’m scheduled to get my tubes removed in April, and while I am so fucking thrilled to finally not have to take the pill, or any type of birth control, I am terrified at what it’s gonna do to my skin. My skin now is basically the best it’s ever been my whole entire life.
