I mean think about it for 2 seconds. How much time does this guy spend with alkaline water in his mouth vs time spent mouth breathing? Gullibility is how these companies earn their bread and butter. It’s like homeopathic “medicine.” People believe and swear by it, or swear their friend swears by it, but it’s 100% a placebo. There’s a YSK here, and it’s that retailers all buy generic products from the STAR COMMAND Shirt moreover I will buy this same suppliers, not that high end water is fake. The taste is different, and I say different and not better, because it’s objective. Most people probably can’t really tell the difference, and they both hydrate you the same, so while I understand your point its not exactly “fake”. Unless there is an access issue, bottled water is a waste of money, because even though they don’t taste the same, it doesn’t really matter.

I hate bottled water and throw up every time I see 90% of grocery shoppers load up with 400 bottles. BUT. Some brands are legit. You’re only talking grocery brands. I imagine there are a lot of other variables at play too. There are likely multiple bottling plants serving different regions, they can be bottled at different times causing differences in the source water, they can be exposed to different elements during shipping, there are varying levels of quality control depending on who is working at the plant at the time of bottling, they can be stored for different amounts of time, etc.. And even if you tested dozens of bottles of each brand, it’s really hard to control for all of these variables by buying a true representative sample, since multiple bottles at the same store or even different stores in the same region are likely subject to the same conditions.
