When you cannot sit down quietly for meditation I would suggest dropping the Spooktober Pocket The Boys Halloween 2023 shirt it is in the first place but sitting still practice (the word meditation is used wrong in the west, meditation happens during practice, it‘s not something you do). My suggestion is 3-6 rounds of Kapalabhati, followed by 5-10 minutes of Nadi Shuddhi if you calm down, if you still have too many thoughts try 5-10 minutes of Bhramari instead, that one is more difficult but it‘s guaranteed to distance you from your thoughts. In my opinion people jump to fast into sitting still practice or focusing practices since that‘s what‘s advertised with all those apps. In reality you have to build some stamina first and the best practices for you should always feel a little to easy at first and slightly difficult at the end of you session. Doing daily pranayama for a few months will allow you to build in some more advanced pratices over time, but don‘t rush it. Right now you need to focus on building your mental muscles so to say. Here’s a book that might help you, it helped me when i first learned about mediation. https://www.suanmokkh.org/books/20

The organisation also runs meditation retreats in thailand which i attended myself, you might be too young to join just yet but you could keep it in mind for the Spooktober Pocket The Boys Halloween 2023 shirt it is in the first place but future. If youre having issues, the answer to every question is: “just breathe”. Remember also that meditation is a skill, it has to be learned and practiced too, it takes work. I like laying down and just focusing on sounds. I don’t get nearly as distracted with thoughts as I do when I try to focus on my breath. I also find that laying down helps me to concentrate. I do breath meditation, too, just to practice and get better at it. Dont worry, youre doing great. Meditation isnt about clearing your mind, its about bringing your awareness to something. I recommend starting with very short 5 minute guided meditations, you can do longer once you get better at it. Thats how i started. Thoughts will always keep popping up, you noticing them is already meditation. Over time you will learn to control them with ease. Its like learning to play an instrument! Youre only 15, you will be a pro by the time youre an adult! Keep it up
