Well, the Spider man starry night parody artclassic shirt in addition I really love this idea with term limits is that they would be 18 year terms (staggered). What that means is that each President would get two Supreme Court nominations (per presidential term). That would completely negate this whole dynamic of presidents trying to get as many Supreme Court nominations as possible. It would even it out. It would also prevent the nonsense that happened with Merrick Garland. This solution would be better than mandatory retirement age because mandatory retirement age would just create an incentive for parties to only nominate extremely young judges. You likely don’t need to be writing or ruling legislation on technology you can barely use, and likewise maybe you don’t need to be writing legislation for women when you’re from a time where women wearing pants was a new and scary thing.

Increase the Spider man starry night parody artclassic shirt in addition I really love this number of justices to match the number of circuit courts plus one Chief Justice (12+1=13 total). Each seat should be filled for exactly thirteen years, and no justice should be allowed to serve more than one term. Justices should retire on an annual basis, with one new justice replacing the most tenured on an annual basis. Justices (and presidents and senators and representatives) should be required by constitution (doubt this will happen, but required by law is fine for a starting point) to place all of their assets into a blind trust. REALITY CHECK – RBG’s refusal to retire under a Dem president literally gave the conservative fucks the vote they needed to overturn Roe. Tarnished an entire legacy of progress.
