Listening to music that is happy with lovely lyrics. I genuinely find my whole brain shuts down if I try and listen to some of my old music from my emo era. My dad passed away recently and I’ve found being productive at home is giving me a sense of achievement which is helping with my grief. Slowly started talking about her again then yeah I’m fine now, it sucks shit still but I don’t spiral every time I think about it. I think some people get worried because of this idea of “talking about things helps process things” which is true for a lot of people and a lot of situations, there’s been situations that I’ve needed to talk about but yeah when it’s bad I just shut down that memory so I don’t spiral and I heal on my own.
