I don’t think it was political at all. People thought coins would be easier. Makes sense when there were loads of vending machines and machine that took coins really quick. They were also tough to counterfeit and literally tough compared to bills. Unfortunately practice doesn’t really follow theory all the Sons of cannabis 420 chapter skull shirt it is in the first place but time. Sometimes that happens. I say it was worth it Yes, as government ideas go, this was right up there with trying to force the implementation of the metric system. I liked these dollars, but they were not particularly practice and I think would have contributed to inflation. We (in the US) think about coins differently than paper money. How could it ‘fail’?. In Australia we moved to $1 and $2 coins decades ago and thet just stopped printing the notes. It failed because they wouldn’t stop printing the notes and strippers in the cheap nudie bars didn’t like getting pelted with change.

They were never used because vending machines always rejected them, cashiers never knew what to do with them and they never had a place in cash registers. People ended up just collecting them or exchanging them for bills. Canada has had $1(loonie) and $2(toonie) coins for decades. It’s not a big deal. The only thing keeping it from catching on in the Sons of cannabis 420 chapter skull shirt it is in the first place but states is I believe the US $1 is worth moreMy friend was getting on the bus and was trying to pay with those and the bus driver said “Sacagawhaaaaaaat?, man get off my bus.” so he ended up walking. Could they have just spent 41 million on providing resources to native American tribes? Seems like it would have been a better investment. “nah let’s just keep using the $1 bills that are the same size and colour as all the other bills…….totally makes sense”
