It’s funny cause I don’t care about large animals but I would be scared to walk in the Sometimes The Heart Sees What Is Invisible To The Eye T-Shirt and I love this wilderness in Australia with all we see here on Reddit lol I’ve hiked and remote camped all over both, to me the US was way scarier. I saw more dangerous spiders / scorpions in the US, but that even paled in comparison to the amount of large wildlife I saw. Saw multiple grizzlies near me while hiking, a mountain lion, even had a large bull moose walk right through my campsite. And bull elk during the rut are pretty scary to be around Where I live we have black bears that can get to be 600 pounds, but they are terrified of humans and do not want anything to do with you. I have had a few encounters and they just run away. We have been killing any bear who messes with humans for hundreds of years and we have effectively bred them to avoid us. Grizzly Bears and wolves tend to live in very “wilderness” type areas. I can go walking around trails near my home and would never ever have to worry about running into those animals. Wolves are also insanely skittish and want nothing to do with humans. Grizzly Bears don’t want to dela with humans but also don’t give a fuck. If they smell food, they’ll go for it.

Black bears on the Sometimes The Heart Sees What Is Invisible To The Eye T-Shirt and I love this other hand, yeah, they’re around. But fortunately, they startle easily and don’t always tend to put up a fight the likes of a grizzly. Still, don’t ever approach. Black bears will tend to leave you alone if you go the other way. Mountain lions can be more of a concern in regard to “toothy” animals with big claws. As they can tend to live close to human populations. We have them in my state but they tend to live more west. Around my way, bobcats and coyotes are way more prevalent. I actually had a bobcat in the woods behind my house a month ago. Pretty wild to see one as they don’t typically like to be seen out in the open. But yes, we do have some large apex predators roaming around in some parts and it’s always best to know what could be out there before hitting a trail in an area you’re unfamiliar with. I went to a wolf sanctuary once, and they were howling when we got there. I didn’t know what it was to start with, but it made my hair stand on end. It goes right through your heart, I swear. Very etherial and haunting.
