Thought I was hit with a brick, before I saw the circular pellet wound. Got shot in the shin with a 22. It burned a little, then a dull throbbing pain. The bone stopped it, so I just pulled it out and went on about my day. I should have gone and got stitches, but I didn’t, so now I have a divot in my shin with a red shiny scar. Chest gsw. AK-47. When it happened it felt like slightly touching an electric wire but just looking at the area Instead of jumping back. Sudden shock and no pain. Weakness afterwards. I wasn’t expecting it. He didn’t call an ambulance and we were alone. I remember some things. Him freaking out, wrecking the house. I had to be calm and try to calm him down. I was in and out of consciousness the entire time. I calmly explained that he needed to call for help. When he did, he called him mom. This was hours later. No pain. Just weakness. The recovery was the hard part. In fact he really didn’t know what had hit him because the stray 9mm-bullet had gone clean through his nostril and logded itself in his cheek. Nothing to see besides swelling and bleeding from the nose. The bullet was only discovered by x-ray at the hospital he went to.

Within about 12 hours of the incident I could no longer walk due to the excruciating pain. Walked with a pretty bad limp for about 2 weeks and then all was good.
