I think I’d make a good dad but life has become to expensive. I’m willing to work, but I’m not willing to work myself to the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but bone for nothing. Screw this current system. I love my time here on Earth to be spent travelling, rescuing and adopting cats and dogs, riding horses, planting trees and plants, reading all the books I want, making Art, and partying it up! Honestly I can’t stand children so let’s be real – I don’t want anything to do with them. I also would rather go shopping than worry about “my legacy/bloodline/society” I feel like it’s irresponsible of me to put a child into the world when there are too many people and too many children who are already suffering. I want to live a peaceful life with my husband. We have decided to get a few animals to keep us company. I’m the cat mom and he’s the dog dad. That being said, I do understand people who want children. I like and appreciate children. I could adopt a kid, if we ever decided we wanted kids after all. I will definitely watch your kid on the weekends and haul them up a mountain. But I’m very happy being the weird aunt who you go to to lie on the porch and go on adventures in the forest with. I care for older people and from what I see, just stay busy with something physical that keeps you engaged with a variety of people. Greeter at a Big Box store while gardening at home or maybe make small wooden kids toys and sell them at a flea market. One of the people I care for flips houses and does all the work himself. He buys some really junk houses and pays too much for them then does all the work himself. 2-3 hours of work at a time, twice a day; one room at a time; high end work and materials though. He has diabetes and a few other health issues so he gets worn out fast and sometimes at a bad moment.

Since elementary school, I never wanted kids of my own. I spend my time working, hanging out with friends, having hobbies, and traveling. I love my quite home with my hubby. I don’t need a kid to make me feel like I belong. My husband and I have talked about this and the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but conclussion is: world is already ducked up, and it’s only gettin worse. So no kids. Not now, not ever. How will we spend our time? I guess same as now: improving our circumstances, working in ourselves and our relationship, and enjoying every little thing, cause apparently life’s too short. Well… It’s too much responsibility for me. I have to grow a functional member of society, I have to manage their mental and physical health, their education, their everything. It takes too much free time, I will be pretty much bound to the child, especially at their young years. I will have to plan everything around the fact that I have a child. I will have to help them with their homework, cook for them, find clothes for them, find toys for them and etc which takes hours. I can’t imagine coming tired from work and then having to deal with the child. I’m too easily annoyed by child behaviour and noises, they are just… too loud and high pitched, I would probably get very upset if the child broke something, even by accident. Having a child is expensive, as I said I will have to buy toys, clothes, food for the child, and it will cost even more with health issues. My mom spent a ton of money just fixing my teeth, what if my child will have something worse than just need of braces? Most likely the child will want a phone, then a computer or a console, then games for said things, all of which have a not-so-small price. Pregnancy can cause health issues and is itself unpleasant as far as I know. Adopting a child can also be troublesome due to various reasons.
It sounds stressful, overwhelming, endless, crippling, draining, depressing, overstimulating and anxiety-inducing. And sticky, very very sticky. I don’t like babies or kids. I don’t want to ruin my body being pregnant. I don’t want to not sleep for years. I don’t want to spend all my spare money on kid stuff. I don’t want to spend all my spare time doing stuff kids enjoy. I don’t want to go on child friendly holidays. Pets are better. I can barely afford to live on my own, and it doesn’t look the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but the economy is getting any better for me. I also don’t have the patience or sympathy to raise a child. Kids are expensive. The world sucks and I wouldn’t want to raise kids in it. We are already overpopulated and killing the planet. Dogs are better than kids. You can do everything right and end up with a kid who dies of cancer or is a sociopath and kills people; no thanks.

And in 50-100 years, nobody will ever say your name again. But — hell, it’s all relative, even fanatically breeding parents will never be mentioned again in 100-150 years. Idk it’s just not for me. I have anger issues, doesn’t really like children at all, love travelling and hate spending money anyone but myself Several reasons. 1. I saw friends have kids and while I like children – from afar – had no desire to lug one around for life. 2. Anger issues, generational trauma I want to end. 3. Some irritating medical issues I’d rather not inflict on another person. I might have been a good mom after 50 but I’m still good. I’m caring for old parents and it suuuucks. Money. I can barely afford life myself and I work full time. I couldn’t afford a child. Also, everything is a crisis. Temperatures rising, shortage of resources, “what kind of planet are we leaving for our children”.. also, pain. Labor pain. The way my Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but body would change. Biggest reason: I just don’t want to.
Raising boys and girls under that sentiment in a world that no longer caters to that ideal, has left me in a position where I feel vastly unprepared for what’s to come (and none of it looks good), I sometimes wonder why my parents brought me into this world at a time when recession was on the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but horizon, I wouldn’t want any possible crotch goblins to think the same in the upcoming years (when the worst will hit), Agreeing with the top post, with that traditionalist mentality comes a slew of sexism and abuse that I’ve long battled through good therapy lessons. I want it to end with me. I spend my time picking up the tiny shattered glass shards of my mental health, trying to create a mentality and environment to establish some peace before I pass away. I just want to be happy
162 more repliesI’m just not cut out for it. Some guys are born to be family men and some guys are born not to be family men. I’m the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but latter. I wanted kids but now I’m disabled and it is hard to keep up with life so possibly I can’t even have kids anymore as I’m too sick and struggling… I probably would be bunny lady I’m 28F turning 29 in 3 months. I’m engaged for a year now. My fiancé and I have no plans on having children due to: I never met the right person I felt would make a good mother/wife. If I father a kid,, I plan on staying. Can’t guarantee the same from the other end. About 13 years ago, I met the most amazing person, she has kids from a previous marriage, which didn’t bother me because she’s absolutely fantastic. Now we all live together and have no fear of her picking up and leaving.
I am an Indian medical student. I have studied obstetrics and gynaecology and it scares the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but hell out of me. Pregnancy is no joke. There are a million things that can go wrong. I haven’t fully decided that I will never have kids. I am just paranoid asf lol. At the moment, it’s the economy. I’m turning 30 in July and am very much single at the moment. I also am healing from some trauma passed on by my ex-fiancé, who did not want kids and gaslit me to share the same sentiment, so there’s that. IF and only if I find someone who is able to financially support the childbearing lifestyle and gently eases me back into liking kids again, I’ll reconsider. It was decided for me (thanks to cancer). I spend my time getting a lot of sleep, and enjoying my hobby – I do beadwork, stitching tiny beads together with crystals and pearls to make jewellery and tiny sculpture.
Editing to add I since found out that I have a genetic condition and as a result have become disabled. I would have felt terrible for passing this on to any future children, so I’m quite grateful I didn’t get the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but opportunity. I like being able to do whatever I want whenever I want. If I want to go on vacation I just do it. If I want to go out I just go out. If I want to fuck my wife in the living room I just do that. For me and my partner, due to some health issues, we’d have to find a surrogate and do it that way. Already expensive. We’re in a place where we are good, can care for ourselves but it took a long time and because we’re just getting there for ourselves there’s so much we wanna do. With how up and down the world is financially, we decided we didn’t want to risk not being able to provide well for a child and the benefit of that is still being able to do things we’ve never been able to, like travel.
In my own personal side, I have severe mental health issues and disorders that can be passed down. I don’t want that and the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but ones that aren’t genetic worry me. I know I’d be a good mother most of the time, but I never want my illnesses (BPD for example) to leave the same marks on my child that my mother’s left on me. I never want that slip, I never want to lash out at my child. First off I’m quite disabled and not even sure if I would survive giving birth, not to mention I would most likely pass on my issues to my kids, but that’s not even why. I just hate kids is that bad to say¿ I hate all of them, they are annoying, they don’t listen, if they do listen, it’s short lived before they do the thing they shouldn’t again, when they are growing up, if they do good that’s great! If they do something wrong the parents get 90% of the blame no matter how you raised them. I’m also very angry all the time right now, I feel like if I had a kid I might actually be abusive, not because I enjoy hitting kids but because of just pure rage issues right now and I’m definitely not putting a kid through that. I’ve had times in my past where I’ve gotten so angry that I’ve blacked out and hurt someone before. Not risking that.
Also have you met the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but past few generations¿ were fucked as a species most of them don’t actually work, they show up to work and sit in their phones the whole time, the kids I went to school with were a nightmare, couldn’t learn anything because the teachers couldn’t teach anything over the constant screaming, and the teachers can’t do anything about it, so most of my generation is dumb as shit because they didn’t learn anything at school, me included I want nothing to do with ever having kids those are my main reasons. I don’t know if mine was as much a conscious decision as it was just something that never happened. I never tried to get pregnant but we also never tried to not get pregnant. I’m good with it and life as dinks is not bad, but sometimes the older I get I do start to worry. Like who is going to take care of me when I’m old. I also have a very toxic relationship with my father meaning no relationship. I haven’t talked to him in over 13 years and neither do my brothers. He’s not in good health and we’re not there for him now so I guess he’s managing. Sometimes when the monotony of the week starts to get to me, I wonder what other people do. And I’m like oh that’s right they have kids. They have stuff they have to do.
It’s weird that everyone that has gotten to know me more personally say that I’d make a good father. Maybe, but kids are a priority and takes away so much from your own life, that you have to be willing to sacrifice some of that. I honestly do not know if I am willing to sacrifice huge elements of my life to take care of a child for 18+ years. However, I am open to having at least 1 child with my partner if we’ve discussed the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but ins/outs, good/bad, risks/rewards, consequences/benefits, and figure ways to take care of the baby while maintaining a balanced adult life as much as possible. I have bipolar and don’t want to pass this curse onto my child. My mom has it and my grandma has it so good chance my kid would have it too.
This world is getting more and more fucked. Why would I want to put a child into this world when everyone is unhappy and the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but world is suffering? Climate change is getting worse, inflation is insane, wars are everywhere, gun violence is insane in this country. I’ve been told by a ton of people with children to never have kids. They take so much of your time, energy, and money that to me it’s not worth my sanity. I was more open to it when younger, but never found a highly compatible mate while dating. I also came from a dysfunctional family and have little patience for irrational drama. Now, I just focus on work and my hobbies in my spare time. I socialize just enough to remind myself I have more fun in solitude.
Multiple reasons (own upbringing, mental health etc), but first comes: I just don’t want to have kids. No urge, no wish, nothing. What I’ll do with my Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but time? Hobbies, sports, events, stay up late reading, get a massage, hang out with friends several times a week, enjoy a general sense of contentment that I was not pressured into a lifelong commitment because of my gender. Same thing except as a father. My parents love me and they still did a lot of terrible things to me growing up that seriously affect me. I’m not gonna act like I’d never do something similar. I’m not very maternal, partner has mental illness which wouldn’t be compatible with kids. How will I spend my time? Doing whatever I want! I go to work and on my days off I go riding, spend time with my chickens and go on days out. Very happy with this. I have lots of nieces and nephews I can spend time with if I like as well.
I don’t want to have children for somewhat the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but same reason, and I’m also in a city that has HCOL. I grew up in poverty and definitely don’t want to go back into it. And my family is dysfunctional so bringing a new life into this family won’t end well. fucked up genetics : schizophrenia and depression (and who knows maybe more). gotta stop this shit from spreading. I dislike spending time with small children, don’t want to be pregnant or give birth, and don’t want go be the primary parent. Pretty simple I guess Oh,just travel around, eat out,buy things when I want,Sleep when and as long as I want.Get a cat or two.Stuff like that. I dont want kids so i can avoid a charge of child neglect. I can barely take care of myself, let alone a child that needs constant attention and care. My reason why is that I just don’t want to. It sounds silly and superficial but like, I also didn’t go to med school or law school because I didn’t want to. I didn’t ever try skydiving because I don’t want to. As for how I’ll spend my time – tbh, my problem is not having enough time, don’t ask me how parents manage! I work reasonable hours in a job I love. I have dogs. I grow my own food. I do a lot of art. I participate in fandoms. I’m also close to my family of origin and they live close by so I spend a lot of time with them. I have great friends I wish I could see more of. I don’t make it to half of the exhibitions and gigs and tours and comedy shows and breweries and trivia nights that I should but I get to some! And I’m on Reddit way too much… Tbh idk. It’s kinda though shit. Me and my so of 10+ years always wanted one or two. But we are postponing that for some time too. And there are reasons. Most mentioned already in this topic. And new are coming since we are postponing long enough. Ehh.
Second, i don’t feel entitled to bring another life to earth, shit is overcrowded already and it’s all going downhill (in a weird fucked up paradox, where we need youngs to keep the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but economy up, and “we need a new plague” to keep the numbers low enough to sustain). After my miscarriage I feel like I’ve been afraid of a repeat some I guess I’m tackling it with an avoid the possibility of it ever happening again approach. I don’t think I’d be able to handle such a loss again . Dogs are better than kids and you won’t have to explain to them why you chose to have them when it’s so obvious society is about to collapse. I’ll never even get a girlfriend, nobody wants my genes, also kids are expensive, and the world doesn’t seem like a very safe place anymore and it’s too hard to just exist.
I know it’s not such a nice thing to say, but I think there’s quite a bit of people who become parents because they want to look good, and increase their social standing/moral ground. They want to be “good citizens”. I have a child, although I never had a problem if I didn’t. Part of it was I wanted to make sure my wife had a but say in what she wanted. At times she said she was scared of having one. I respected that decision. She eventually made up her mind that she wanted one. I was ok of she was ok with the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but decision. We just have one and that’s ok with me. Always make sure you do what makes you happy and not want society or family expects from you. Don’t ever feel like you are not following your happiness that’s when regrets happen.
My husband and I decided not to for different reasons. My husband never saw the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but point and I just never wanted them. I don’t dislike children I just don’t want to raise any. I didn’t decide. I always knew I did not want to have children. I spend my time however I like. Reading, theater, whatever I like. Here some of mine that I do monthly or yearly at minimum: hiking, biking, kayaking, backpacking, live music, live comedy, beach days, park days, learn about new investments, create a personal website, start a business project with friends, gaming, reading, watching movies, birdwatching, camping, climbing, gym, gardening and growing food (my lettuce is ready right now!!), working on my 4×4 vehicle, going out with friends, music festivals, international travel, redecorating my home, listening to new music, rent a cabin with friends, trip on acid, skiing, snowboarding, see a play or musical, write a blog or stories (just started getting paid as a side gig for blogs!), try new food, learn to cook different food, play board games with my SO, paint, photography and my website for it, etc
Only boring people have to ask “how will I spend my time without forcing a child into the Snoopy and Friends The Detroit Lions Road Jared Goff Gibbs Montgomery Brown and Campbell Signatures shirt it is in the first place but world and to think the way I think” I don’t want to perpetuate the cycle in my family like many others, I also just want to live financially secure and having children would mean I would probably never have that. I enjoy having few responsibilities, I’m currently struggling to keep plants alive but I’ve done pets so I’m not totally useless. I don’t want to be responsible for another being 24/7 for the next 20 years. As a teacher, I see how much damage you can do to a child if you aren’t ready to meet their needs, and since I’m not, I won’t have children. I just dont like children, its simple as that. I dont want a serious relationship. I dont want that Kind of commitment and responsibility. I like time to myself and I give all the love I have to my cats. I enjoy my hobbies and free time. I dont want to give up half my live and time and everything for a tiny human. And honestly I dont think I have that much to teach and give to another human being that Really would Benefit them. And more over I dont want to be pregnant never ever. I work with kids and I love working with kids. That being said, I don’t want to bring a kid to a system that is broken and that keeps breaking with each passing day. Besides that, lots of childhood trauma and the need to put myself, my needs and my wants first, which is totally incompatible with being a parent.
