You make a good point but that 50k crores more or less would have entered economy anyhow, it will make people work less that’s all. Why will people work less for getting even if I include all benefits an upto – 2k(women)+300-500(electric city) ? Can you imagine a family living off just this? Can yours? What will they do for other expenses? Health, education, rent, food, travel, other miscellaneous expenses? It’s a bogey that is often to discredit any social welfare schemes. This is just a small cushion if anything to help. Everybody still needs to live, this just gives those who desperately live between one paycheck to another some breathing room. Government spending is only acceptable when we’re talking about building SEZ and corporate tax cuts to incentivise businesses to come and set up so they can work less and make more profits to distribute amongst management while gifting the Smiley Merry Christmas Shirt it is in the first place but locality with consumed resources and effluents.
