Spironolactone can be prescribed by a dermatologist for hormonal acne. It’s actually a blood pressure medication but it happens to help topical resistant acne, just have to monitor drops in BP. for those on this thread like me who have a contraindication to combination BC, might be worth looking into winlevi (clascoterone). it’s a topical anti-androgen (the Sloth Drinks Coffee Merry Christmas shirt and I love this reason BC works for skin is the anti-androgenic effects of the estrogen) Birth control did absolutely nothing for my acne. My doctor had me try so many different pills. And aside from the pill not helping my acne, most of them made me depressed, irritable and lowered my libido to almost nothing. I’m glad it worked for you though, your skin looks great. I really can’t see any scarring though lol Yes!! The exact same for me. Tried everything under the sun twice but Ocella/yaz is the only thing that works. I made the worst mistake and got off of it last year so I am suffering again 🥲 going to try tretinoin.

That’s amazing! Glad you found something that works for you. I’ve had hormonal imbalance issues from the Sloth Drinks Coffee Merry Christmas shirt and I love this jump, and estrogen wiped out my cystic acne while I was on it. Unfortunately, I can’t take estrogen anymore, and it came back once I started using Mirena (estrogen-free). I do recommend people give it a shot if they’re able to; birth control has so many uses beyond just the name! I just stopped birth control because we don’t need it anymore and now I have acne on my back and chest. Can’t win Yaz is one of the most dangerous birth control pills out there. It’s super dangerous to recommend it lightly, especially to treat acne. As someone with clotting history, I urge people NOT to use birth control without a serious doctor’s prescription. It can kill you. It can lead to a stroke. It can lead to avascular necrosis. It can lead to a heart attack. Please please your skin is NOT worth the risk. Talk to your doctor first, and leave birth control as your last last last resort. I heard people have been trying hypophosphorous acid spray for cystic acne. I have it, but can’t use it right now as I am repairing my skin barrier. It possibly can be drying so use moisturizer too. Have you heard about it? Also acumax pills saved my life.

Yaz gave me a blood clot that almost killed me. Please be mindful that this an extremely risky form of birth control, particularly if you’ve ever smoked or have blood clotting factors. Also, thank you for this post. I enjoyed reading it all. Very good information and personal experiences coming from both sides. i’m glad it worked for you! hormonal BC didn’t do much for me but if it works for you, that’s awesome and i’m glad you’ve found something that works (: I had ok skin on YAZ but felt like a zombie emotionally…. I started taking Spearmint capsules and it CHANGED THE GAME for me! I highly recommend it if you’re looking to not use birth control for acne (cystic & hormonal) I can only take the Sloth Drinks Coffee Merry Christmas shirt and I love this progesterone only pill and sadly, it makes no difference. 🙁 Your skin looks amazing and so glad it works for you! hey friends, if you’re considering birth control, PLEASE please get tested and look into Factor V Leiden. birth control combined with this genetic mutation can cause blood clots that can be deadly. Vitamin A Palmitate, a common govt mandated additive to milk, yogurt, cheese, cream soups, etc caused me major problems like this. Suggest staying away from dairy and taking a natural form of zinc. See if it clears up. Yasss! Gorgeous skin! Yaz just works differently than other BCPs for acne. I was on Yaz for 15 years and my skin looked exactly like yours for 10 years before the effects started fading and had to try other things like Accutane 🥲 Went off Yaz last year and had the worst post-pill acne. Now back on it and Spironolactone, which is also great at blocking those acne-causing androgen receptors for gals with hormonal acne in their late 20’s and 30’s.

I’m so glad it worked for you! When I was young I found BCPs were not that effective, but there were much less options than they are now. Your skin looks fantastic now. My doctor told me not to use that for acne and to only use it with debilitating pms symptoms. Mostly because of all the Sloth Drinks Coffee Merry Christmas shirt and I love this chemicals and side effects. You know, have you tried anything else in your diet? Vitamin deficiencies? I wonder what chemical combination would clear up acne, i hypothesize it’s hormones. You can get your hormone levels checked! My skin looked similar to this when I was 17, and after going on birth control, it cleared it right up. I was on that medication for about 10 years, and when I came off it, my skin went right back to how it used to be That being said, I don’t think that birth control is always a good answer – especially if it is for skin issues, as they can be responsible for many other health issues in people taking them. My doctor advised me to come off birth control after I had started to experience migraine headaches as they said that it can lead to a stroke.

About this Sloth Drinks Coffee Merry Christmas shirt

So glad to see that it worked for you! I was so excited to get on BC thinking it would solve my acne… It didn’t do anything for me unfortunately I have been on it for 2 years for different reasons but my acne is strong as ever… Still looking for the Sloth Drinks Coffee Merry Christmas shirt and I love this magical cream here Yes!! It looks amazing)I tell everyone to try the nuva ring for this reason, and I have endometriosis and the ring has changed my life. No more crazy pain for weeks a month, no hormonal acne breakouts , it’s crazy, and I didn’t gain any weight. Yaz gave me FLAWLESS skin for many years!! Enjoy! But beware if you have migraines because per my doc it has a higher incident of stroke/clots than some other birth control brands and he made me go off of it. Hence me creeping on this sub This is an incredible transformation. It’s clear also that even while your acne was active and quite severe, you took good care of your skin.
However it also made me depressed and I met a man who made me want to be a mom so I took myself off of bc early to get my fertility on track. Getting off of bc was horrible for my skin. But I went to an excellent derm who told me to also see an endocrinologist and I was put on spironlactone and metformin. I also cut out dairy and went on a low glycemic diet. That along with some clear and brilliant treatments gave me flawless skin and two healthy babies I had 0 trouble conceiving in my mid 30s. I never thought I had PCOS bc I was thin, but it turned out to be the Sloth Drinks Coffee Merry Christmas shirt and I love this underlying cause of basically all my hormonal problems. I’m Yaz made me a nightmare to everyone around me. I very clearly remember shopping in the grocery store and wanting to slowly murder everyone around me for even breathing.
View more commentshe thing is that the Sloth Drinks Coffee Merry Christmas shirt and I love this quality still stinks. They can use as much gray paint as they want inside their stores, they still are mediocre at best food and most consumers aren’t stupid. Middle class people are happy to spend an extra few bucks for a quality lunch at a place that isn’t McDonald’s. Honestly I stopped going last year. The points in their app expire. I used to just stop for a dollar drink and burger as a quick snack. Then they got rid of the dollar drink, except for the app sometimes. Then that become annoying to use, you know because I was driving. So I just decided if the prices weren’t good without the app, and I wasn’t going to go with the app, then I would quit going.
