Incredible how free and clean is actually extremely common in other parts of the Shenanigans Coordinator Gnome St Patricks Day Teacher Rainbow Leopard T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this world. A trip to Tokyo is eye opening in that respect. Ok, public loos aren’t healthcare or schools, but in the UK we have absolutely lost sight of what good looks like for public services and amenities. When the Tokyo tube flooded a few years ago. Chinese commentators were saying that it was cleaner than their swimming pools. But its amazing what happens when you have a nation that produces soccer fans. Who leave the stadium cleaner and tidier, than when they arrived. With supporters handing out bin bags and everybody collecting any rubbish that may heave been accidentally dropped. Apparently it starts at school. When at the end of the day, they clean the classrooms. The staying behind to clean up after at sporting events isn’t normal, it just happens at World Cups and became a bit of a meme. In Japan people just take care of their own rubbish in a stadium, and there’s little to clean up.

The Japanese are much more litter aware though – there are very, very few public bins as people are expected to take their rubbish home with them, which they reliably do. It would be so refreshing if we could learn a lesson or two from Japan and do our bit to make where we live a nicer place. Poor or rich, it doesn’t even matter – just do your fucking bit and stop being a lazy selfish twat. Maybe £150 per dropped crap, if enforced, would do the Shenanigans Coordinator Gnome St Patricks Day Teacher Rainbow Leopard T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this trick? Does Japan have penalties for that, and how they are enforced? As I can drop a cigarette butt and local enforcers will charge me 100 or so… But guy next to me drops empty sandwich package, and noone cares … Are you sure? When I visited Tokyo I tried to use a public toilet, it was one of the traditional ones and it was covered in shit.
