That takes almost no time. At my bank if you deposit anything over 200 dollars they put 200 in your account then you have wait for the check to clear before they give you all of it so my coworker will just cash his check out then deposit it through the ATM so it’s all in his account that day

I’ve worked as a manager at a restaurant and am familiar with counting money. Counting 1000 in 10s is not a big deal. This whole thing would have lasted less than 5 minutes. “It sucked.” You’re a teller at a bank. You count money all day long. So what if you counted 100 bills for one person. You’re still counting a lot of bills all day long. What does it matter when you count them? My buddy and I used to use a bank that had been recently bought by another bank. The terms and conditions changed but we just kept using it. One day he was going to buy a car and went to withdraw something like 10k out. They told him about a policy where he was supposed to inform them 24 hours in advance before making large withdraws. So he asked them what the total for the account was, and they told him. He said I’d like to withdraw that amount, and they said again he couldn’t, to which he replied “o I don’t think you understand, I’m closing my account and I’d like all my money”. To which they complied and he moved banks and so did I shortly afterword. It was for the best in the end, everyone that I knew that continued banking there had nothing but issues.
