They’re saying “be careful not to marry the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this wrong person” as best they can, it’s a little rough but the message is there. Seems like Boomer humor. I never understood it. Ignore it. I am definitely in the camp that you should not get married until you know you are ready and not to get married just because it is the next thing to do. But getting married was the best decision I have ever made. My wife and I have been married for 27 years, we are both 50, have 3 great kids and we still love each other very much. I would rather spend time with her than anybody else. Because women have a tendency to stop being sexual and become highly controlling after pregnancy/ after marriage. In a sense, they pretend to be someone they are not to manipulate their partner into marriage/parenting. Well we have whats called experience. We made the mistake of marring young without living life a little. Having a stable and good job in place. And being more mature to avoid puppy love and really find out if the girl we are dating is compatible enough to marry.
Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt: Show Your Love with Style
We have been married 22 years- have teenage kids. We are in the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this process of separating. We are still best friends. I hate this. She is ‘not sure’ she wants to work on things. Here is the thing: most marriages go through very rough times. People usually don’t discuss that— until it results in divorce. Cognitive dissonance plays a huge role in people’s attitudes- single, married, divorced- people cope by justifying their current position, for the most part. There is no point in getting married, if you’re a man that is. You can have a family and children without involving the government. Women tend to get the most resources if a divorce takes place. Essentially being rewarded for breaking the contract. All risk, no reward. Don’t do it.
Unless if you live in a country where any long term relationship is declared de facto where a separation of property will occur after a relationship breakdown just like it would in a marriage. If you are in a de facto relationship the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this benefits from the government will also be impacted just like a marriage. They don’t want you to succeed where they failed. Never take advice from old folks, we are just winging it. Also life has a way to turn us sour so take that into account when considering the bullshit we spout. They speak from experience that you don’t have. Marriage isn’t an institution beneficial to men. Edit: lol at all these down votes from angry people. There’s no benefit for men to get married anymore and you know it’s truth but you just refuse to hear it because it’s uncomfortable truth. You really shouldn’t get married because as a man, you will just get the short end of the stick in a divorce. I plan to meet someone but just live with them and if i am around retirement age, ill get married since id be close to death anyway
Where to buy this Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt
As a poker player I would say never get married if you make more money, definetely get married if you make less money or want to be stay at home whatever. There are no real benefits in getting married besides financial, but there are a lot of drawbacks. The majority of the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this marriages don’t work out and can lead to very long drawn out fights over who gets what, added bonus fights if there’s children involved. If you make more money you’ll often be paying money to your ex after the marriage is over. If you want to be a stay at home anything you’ll have to tie it down in a marriage, cause if the relationship eventually dies it’s natural death, you’ll be left with nothing. The people that are saying “don’t marry the wrong person” forget that nobody thinks they’re marrying the wrong person at the time. It’s only apparent in hindsight.
So then it becomes a matter of recognizing that one is not immune to statistics. And marriage in the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this west is statistically a bad deal for men. Through a court system that is biased towards women in divorce and custody hearings, and expects payment of alimony to women, men are through marriage essentially paying for an insurance policy on themselves on behalf of the woman. This provides a perverse economic incentive for women to “file a claim” for transgressions and leave marriages with a large settlement. While the same is typically not true in reverse. And that’s why it’s mostly women that initiate divorce. And why many western men have become afraid of women. It only requires looking at the incentives of both parties.
Edit: I’ve been in a successful long term cohabitation, without signing a marriage contract. I don’t live in the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this west but have dated both there and East Asia. I dont have kids, but if I did that’s one thing that would make me consider marriage. Edit 2: The ubiquity of finding dates on apps like tinder, and through social media completely changed the dating market after 2013ish. Women suddenly have access to unlimited highly attractive men. The change means most women and a small percentage of very attractive men enjoy limitless causal encounters. Women now have less incentive to enter into or stay in committed relationships. The effects on most men are devastating. I would certainly recommend staying single. I married someone, we had a wonderful 10 years together, then she changed, and left me. Now I’m in a fucking mess of a situation. Have a girlfriend, never move in together, never have children. Get a vasectomy and enjoy life on your own terms. Not someone else’s. Be free.
Most of us got used and burned, so we are upset and angry and trying to project our fears. But don’t get married, lol. It’s because men often lose their home, retirement funds, and get less custody of their kids when they get divorced. If you never marry, you don’t have as many of those problems if your relationship doesn’t work out Honestly, if you are a man and do not know why all those men are 99% walking red flags (cause nearly all their reasonings and way of thinking are either straight out lies or misogynistic self pity) you truly should not. Cause I do not feel like any woman deserves to suffer through that. Are there good reasons NOT to marry? Sure. For example the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this state should not be the one to define other peoples relationships. We should also not support that concept seeing how many people are discriminated (some people who can not marry cause the state says “your relationship is not valid”). + it is discriminatory to give advantages to married people while not to unmarried couples, because the state insinuates their relationship is not “valid” enough.
All those men who are mad that the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this state wants them to eventually care for or take financial care of their kids or financially compensate all the free labor their wives did, or the fact that their relationship ended while those men thought the only thing they needed to contribute is existing and maybe money (no emotional or cognitive growth) – will ofc tell you “it is not worth it”. Just look at the history and social position of married men and what they were historically allowed to do. Basically owning women as free labor pets, walking incubators, rape in marriage and what not. Many men today feel like it is “unfair” that all of that is denied to them today and therefore “not even worth it”. Joke is on them thou, most women prefer being single or getting a divorced cause being without those men is 100% better life quality.
Based on facts thou, in marriage, the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this life expectancy of men goes up while the one of women goes down. That should tell you something. You are for sure too young to marry anyway & you should not plan your life around the world views of a bunch of old men who were probably hardly anything besides problematic in their life. (But will never be able to reflect on that). edit: dear triggered Ben Shapiro and Andrew Tate fanboys, yes yes anyone who is remotely more educated than you and understand concepts beyond a online dictionary definition is “very crazy”, “insane”, “out of touch”. In fact any form of information beyond your cognitive ability to grasp it, must be clearly a lie and untrue! Amazing how it is always the same groups of people who are very intelligent and have a total grasp of relaity (while knowing not even basics of history). What a rusprise!
Easy. You find a person you like and get married. It’s great at first. You have sex. Lots. It’s just you and them. Then you get a pet or a kid. The attention to you goes to almost zero. But you can’t leave, you’re responsible to earn so they can raise the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this kid/s. Locked in for 18 years. Kid goes to college or moves out. They divorce you. Take everything you got and now you gotta pay them support. 50% or more of marriages end up in divorce and in the US, the courts will chew you up. As a man, the proposition is extremely risky. We are also very poorly educated to navigate this. We marry for the wrong reasons, we pick the wrong partners. We don’t even have the capacity to introspect enough and be brave enough to decide when to walk out of a deal that doesn’t benefit us. We often leave circumstances to guide us and that’s a recipe for disaster. We can argue about the morality of staying in a marriage, but I think we’re over that bridge now. People will leave each other.
I am a happy married man, but also divorced. Being married to the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this right woman is one of the best decisions you can make, but also one of the riskiest. The 50% stat is actually very outdated. That was the highest peak it was in the US in the late 70/ early 80s once women were allowed to finally file themselves when no fault divorces became a thing. The current divorce rate in the US is about 35% (for FIRST marriages) and has been on a steady decline. Part of it coming from the new trend of long term couples simply not getting married at all. It’s much higher though for second or more marriages at around 60-70%. Marriage can be a beautiful thing but going by the statistics it’s also very rare to have a successful marriage. When a marriage breaks down it’s usually the husband that comes off worse. Really today marriage has very few upsides for men. If you have kids and you get divorced it’s more than likely you will be at the mother’s mercy as to when you see them. She will also most likely keep the home you shared and take half your money. I have a good friend who has been separated from his child’s mother for 5 years and she refuses to divorce him. At the same time.ajw refuses to let him see his child and there is basically nothing he can do about it.
They have been through divorce, checked their bank account, and realized how much the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this marriage actually costed them. You can see what a real steak looks like by sticking your head up a cows ass, but wouldn’t you rather trust the butcher’s word? That rate has been dropping. It’s 37% now and on a downward trend. Of those 1/4 ended because of domestic violence so I think those ending were a good thing. Not all divorces are a bad thing. If you don’t abuse your partner and don’t marry before your brain finishes cooking, the odds are in your favor 37 m don’t get married. I’m forever broken abs without my kids after she beat me manipulated me, fucked all my friends, talked mad shit behind my back… can some one please take me out. I’m so fucking broken and left with nothing. The ugliest most useless poor excuse of a man.. you want to feel this way get married and believe a women will actually love you for you. As many people point out, women are rewarded for breaking the marriage contract, and men are punished whether they break it or women break it. So, the woman is in a winning position no matter what happens, and the man is in a losing position. In terms of worrying about being old and frail and alone, statistics show that the rate of divorce for recently retired men is horrifyingly high. That is, the few wives that do hang around while he is earning good money and working hard often think the recently retired guy is now a loser, so dump him and take him to the cleaners.
My guess is a lot of them treated their partners like shit and got divorced, having to pay support. Treat your partner like your equal, treat your kids well, you probably won’t have a problem. Having said that, there are numerous reasons why marriages fail. Sometimes, a marriage ending is a good thing. With kids, until you are 100% ready, always use two forms of contraceptive. One should always be a condom, and you should provide it. Or maybe the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this wife treated them like crap. Not much reason to leap to the opposite conclusion based on absolutely fucking nothing, except being a raging misandrist of course. There was no prejudice until you arrived. I said partner. That can be absolutely any sex/gender pairing you want. Bad spouses typically end in divorce. Divorce typically makes people say marriage isn’t worth it. You’re standing up for calling someone a misandrist when they used gender neutral language. The OP stated they were men. Yes I’m sure the men he mentioned were all gay. Totally reasonable assumption to make, and not you backpedalling your way out of your horseshit opinion.
Since you mentioned “having to pay support”, and the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this fact 99% of the time this means the man, it’s obvious you’re referring to men when you say “a lot of them treated their partners like shit”. This explains why so many have downvoted your borderline misandry. Not saying you are, but your post does reek of it. The only thing marriage does is makes it REALLY expensive to split up if things go wrong. Which 50/50 they will. Do it the right way. There’s a YouTube channel called “Strong Successful Male” or SSM. Watch a lot of those videos, it’s real life. There are women out there who marry and at the 10 year mark divorce and take at least half of everything you have. There are awesome women to but learning how to spot the bad ones is the only way to not lose all your stuff. If you look at marriage as what it is, a legal contract where the man loses everything if things go bad, its hard to sign. Especially in a no fault divorce state. I could go on but just watch the videos, they’re all stories that I’ve lived long enough to see happen myself. There is a huge difference between getting married, which is a legal arrangement that in most cases only benefits the woman, and living your life with a woman with no stings attached. Marriage is a contract with no obligations to deliver and consequences of breaking the contract is she gets half, if you have kids she can get cu stand alienate them from you just to start. Once you get married, she will start to feel secure and will deliver less and less for each year. You, on the other hand, still have to bring in the money and put the food on the table… You don’t like it? What are you going to do? Leave her – she gets half, stay and you get nothing from the relation. Been there, left her, gave her more than half because she is a great mother and we have 3 kids and because the best thing you can do for your kids is to be kind to their mother. Lesson learned: once you get married, she owns you and ever complaint from you will be crushed forcefully by her, her friends, her family and society….and rightly so because you put her in a position where there is no competition.
Bitter old men Id imagine. Many husbands don’t realize how little they put into a marriage and then are surprised when their wives are unhappy. Research shows married men live longer lives and are healthier than unmarried counterparts. It’s been shown through data marriage is a bad business for women, not for men. That being said, you’re 20. The happiness, wealth, income, and domestic labor gaps are likely to be greatly diminished for your generation. Getting married or not is a decision you should make based on what you want for your life; what is important to you. What lifestyle do you want to lead? Some professions are more punitive than others. If you are for example working for ONU in international missions or in international journalism covering wars… you might want to think twice if having a family is a priority.
Do you even want kids? One huge reason to get married is to have kids (albeit not the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this only one). People are each time more opting for a childfree lifestyle. Do you even feel compelled to having a deep connection to someone and sharing your life with them? Marriage DOES make it easier. The rituals DO make it more real. D. woman can make false allegations with no proof and no repercussions when caught. So lies like abuse, rape, cruelty are believed until the man can prove otherwise, the term innocent until proven guilty no longer applies when it comes to men. Why is this downvoted, every point is the truth. I guess people haven’t encountered this themselves and don’t want to believe it. Hope they never find out for themselves.
It’s downvoted because women don’t want the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this truth to be known and the Men don’t want to realize the truth when it’s told. Truth is uncomfortable especially when it just relies on cold hard facts that are in evidence not the feelings and perceptions. Despite enormous facts to the contrary woman still see themselves as an oppressed victim in any marriage/relationship when in reality it’s the Men who have the deck stacked against them. Facts don’t lie or care about your feelings. It’s just not worth it for men. You’re risking too much, get a prenup if you’re gonna do it. I’m married now but if it doesn’t work I’ll definitely never marry again. It’s overrated, we could have the same life without risking half my stuff
The law is not in your favour. Getting married as a man in the Santa Grinch Here I Am CVS Pharmacy The Light Of Your Life Christmas Light Shirt Shirt in addition I really love this modern day is like signing a contract that gives your rights to your children, home and finances to a woman whenever she decides she wants to take them. Unless you have a legal need for a marriage certificate, don’t do it! After 6 months of living together, it gets complicated legally already. It’s just a cost of a very expensive holiday with a very expensive going away party before it! If you want to party, that might be okay, but I’m not interested in getting chewed up and spit out, minus an intact heart and all my shit. So, the recommendation to the 99% of young men who are unable to discern a woman’s true intentions is: don’t do it. It is not the girl’s fault, usually it’s not her conscious plan to fuck you up, but it is definitely the vector she is heading. So many will be sizing up the next guy while they are still with you, and not understand why that is wrong.
