History is always cyclical. People forget to be afraid of things they haven’t experienced, and they allow them to return, and oh, look, there was a reason we did that thing and now we’ve learned our lesson…For a while. Not mine. My kid gets all the Santa Grinch and Max It’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print i came with a warning label shirt in contrast I will get this vaccines. Because I work in a hospital and I see the pain in the faces of visitors. Those parents will be in for a lot of guilt when their children get long covid, die, or get developmental problems. Anti-vaxers are some of the most dumb and/or evil people out there. There is so much proof that vaccinations prevent deaths, and these people ignore it because they are either too stubborn to admit they are wrong, or they are evil and profiting off it.

Make vaccines mandatory to all of those without a valid reason, revoke consciousness/religious exemptions and hold parents liable for the Santa Grinch and Max It’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print i came with a warning label shirt in contrast I will get this deaths of offspring they refused to vaccinate. Unfortunately this is one of those cases where forcing folks could have the opposite impact. The cause is distrust and illiteracy about science and medicine. The only true cure is education. To the antivaxxers, I get it. Politicians lie. But there is still an objective reality. I’m not asking you to trust but to think. Yes, drug companies make money off this, but so do the guys selling you bottles of dried herbs to fix your kids autism. Consider that one is staffed with accredited people who went to lots of school and the other is a random dude who was a chiropractor in the 80’s and drinks his own piss. I work at a place where part of my job is doing notaries. I’ve seen a huge uptick in parents coming in to get vaccine exemption forms for their children notarized. I’d like to refuse to do them, but I can’t afford to lose my job.
