At the Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale in Los Angeles Dodgers T-Shirt Besides,I will do this end of the day, we will all die one day. So lets just let everyone believe whatever they want without showing our beliefs down their throats. A lot of religions are structured in such a way that the typical Jesus inspired atheist critiques of “all religion” don’t make any sense when applied to them. Buddhism and scientology don’t believe in a creator diety anymore than atheists do, for example. Most mainstream sects of Judaism are extremely suspicious of any claims of supernatural contact or power. Thelemites arguably consider their deities more figurative than literal. I could go on…. My favorite part of this post is that all the Redditors in the comments are taking the bait as well, making this joke like 10x funnier Reading some of Christianity’s founding texts really gave me a new perspective on religion. This shit goes deep. Highly recommend checking out St Augustine.

I respect athiest more than some religious people. But i do cringe when they dismiss religion outright. Despite their wacky beliefs, you can’t deny the Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale in Los Angeles Dodgers T-Shirt Besides,I will do this very real power it has to move people. It can start wars and end them. Bring people together and divide them apart. Create magnificent momuments and burn cities to the ground. You don’t need religion to make a good man do good actions, but you can use it to make a good man commit bad actions. I am not arguing that, nor i am arguing its necessity. Religion could be swept away in a heap if all I care about. From the great statues of Budha to the beautiful mosque in julerusalem. I am talking about all religions, not just Christianity. The great pyramids to Japanese Shinto. honestly i think that art and architecture could have been even better without religion. people would probably have the same talent but we would have had much more interesting and inspiring subject matter than just 1000 years of sculptures of the same few saints i visited an orthodox greek church recently and it’s crazy that they literally forbid any deviations in art style for centuries. artists had a very small pool of acceptable people/things to paint and everything had to be done in the “orthodox style” Religion is the belief in, and worship of, vastly superhuman entities. For most modern religions, this also comes with the belief in a specific, supreme power, and the abrahamic religions in particular subscribe to belief in ONLY that supreme power.
