Damn, he’s reaching out being respectful and not weird in any way, is great to his SO, is respected in his field, and seems to generally be a positive influence in the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this world at large and you are STILL questioning his motives? I guess I don’t get it. Just react to what you see. If he’s merely being friendly and you consider him a friend, be friendly. If he ever even approaches a topic that makes you uncomfortable, shut it down hard and fast, be respectful but firm with your boundaries. But other than that, no this is not that weird to me, idk why it would be I guess. You are allowed to feel uncomfortable though, and if you don’t really put any stock in having any sort of friendship there (which it seems like you don’t, and that too is fine) then just say that. He is harmless. You have been married with kids so long you forgot what flirting is, haha. Kids eliminate all sex drive/appeal and you forget who you were years ago. Support their marriage, then make fun of them when they have kids

Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt: buy and enjoy this shirt

I don’t think it’s too strange as long as it doesn’t get creepy. On the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this other hand, if it makes you uncomfortable, just stop replying and he’ll get the hint. I’m in my mid 40s and text with my friends’ partners now and again. usually related to a thing we have in common like a sports team or a movie franchise we like in common. It’s ok for grown people of any gender to be friends. Not weird at all and not age related. I might question that people who do find this weird might have personal experiences or hang ups with cheating partners maybe. That I’m. O way should reflect on actual friendly adults just being friendly. OP it’s not weird for the age group of your friend and her SO however it is weird for the slightly older crowd. We did not reach out to the husband or BF of a friend separate from them. The world has changed and this seems to be ok these days. Personally it would make me slightly uncomfortable. Not for any reason other than old school norms.
Normal unless he tries to make a move. Some people just have golden retriever energy and want to be everyone’s friend. Right now it seems harmless. I wouldn’t be concerned until/unless it starts seeming less harmless. I will say though that him mentioning “don’t let her be too crazy” does throw an orange (lol) flag into the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this mix. He could genuinely just be trying to make sure you guys have fun and break the ice, but there’s also the slim possibility he’s a control freak and he wants communication with you in case he can’t reach her and/or wants someone to tell him if she ever does anything she shouldn’t be doing while with someone. I agree that it is weird. Have your husband respond to his texts as you are busy to respond. He your husband ask him to to direct his texts to him not to you. You will see the results. I would feel cautious in your situation as well, but I think you’re handling it really respectfully so far. He’s probably just being friendly, but there’s no reason to create any situations where there could be the opportunity for him to act otherwise. My practical advice is to start a group chat with the 3 of you, or better yet, introduce the husband and have everyone on a group chat. This way the fiancée can chat and get to know you and there’s no risk of anything inappropriate being said

Description for Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt

I’m about the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this same age as this guy, and that sounds weird to me. There’s no transitive property for friendship. You’re friends with his significant other, but that doesn’t automatically make the two of you friends. If the three of you had hung out more than a couple times and you had built up a friendly rapport outside of the texting, it would still be weird but a little less so. I could see texting a friend’s significant other if he was planning a meet up and it was something logistical, or if it was specific questions you could answer because of your experience in the same field or as someone in a different stage of life, but it sounds like he’s being overly familiar. And even if it is an innocuous attempt to get to know the people that are important to his fiancee, it can still be off-putting.
It sounds weird to me but only socially. It’s weird for anyone to text you like that when you don’t really know them very well, but he sounds like he means no harm. You said that he works in the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this same field as you, and that the initial text was work/industry related – he’s probably glad to potentially have someone to chat with about work stuff that isn’t a co-worker or his fiancé, and also wants to generally get to know you better since you are an important part of his fiancé’s life. I think innocent until proven guilty probably applies here. I think he’s trying to make friends with his fiancé’s friends. I wouldn’t read into it beyond that unless the content of the messages turns significantly weirder. It’s not weird but it’s okay that you feel uncomfortable. I have a friend whose bf kept asking me to slow dance and I was uncomfortable but she was fine with it. It’s more of a boundary thing and something that you probably wouldn’t be comfortable with if your significant other did. I don’t like to get too close to my friend’s boyfriends but he seems like he wants to build a friendship with you. Just be cordial since he doesn’t seem to have alternative motives.
My partners great long-time friend and I message each other about different programmes and bands we both like. He has a gf, my bf has known him for years. It’s only weird if it is inappropriate. My bf doesn’t go online much, so sometimes his friend will message saying “show him this,” etc. Why is your gut feeling this way? As long as the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this messages are not inappropriate, it’s fine and totally normal! Nothing weird about the situation at all – intent is all that really matters. If things stay friendly, great! If he gets flirty, not great. I think you might just be old. In modern society, boys are taught to cultivate relationships with women that are significant to the SO. I think it’s possible that his SO talks about you a lot and he’s just taking an interest. Does his SO have a big family as well? I’m not guaranteeing anything. Just saying it’s possible What the hell is your problem? He just wants to get along with his fiancee’s friends. You seem like some crazy boomer who thinks everybody is trying to hit on you or something.
Unpopular opinion but this Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this is suspicious imo. Trust your gut. I don’t like that he told you “don’t let her get too crazy”.. call me paranoid but I’m afraid he’s establishing a relationship with her friends so he can monitor and control her. That or he’s attracted to you and framing it as innocent. I think if it was genuinely innocent, it would make more sense if he wanted your number after you two became friendlier, spent more time together, established a rapport.
Not with the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this criminal prosecution of miscarriages. The authorities wanted a paper trail of a girl’s menstrual cycle Un-fucking believable with these people. Fucking creeping over a young girls’ period tracker to try and charge her with murder in the event of a miscarriage. Also creepy to “make sure they’re girls and not born biologically different!” Esp when it comes to literal teenagers. I think it kinda is. We had to take physicals in California for sports in middle and high school growing up. Line up and get your nuts fondled by a nurse every season. It’s not. This was given to a parent by a school. Menstrual cycles do not impact activity. If they do, it’s not something a school should require documentation of. If someone actually cares about being in sports, they aren’t going to let their menstrual cycle stop them I had to fill out this same form to participate in school sports. I always assumed it was for the sole purpose of assuring that female athletes were not pregnant: in the case that they were injured during participation in their sport and have a stillbirth/miscarriage, the school wants to cover its metaphorical behind and ensure that they cannot be blamed for the loss of the fetus or harm to the athlete. I did find asking for the information to be invasive and inappropriate, but we live in a litigious era.
Did your school not have permission slips? That’s all we had to sign and it basically just said “if you get seriously injured we are not responsible and you can’t sue us.” Never had to tell them anything about my periods The school is not provided with the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this information. This is the physical form they must take to their doctor to get cleared. The only information they can legally share with the school is whether or not the person is medically cleared to play. That doesn’t make sense because someone could get pregnant after they fill out the form. I’m assuming the form only needs to be filled out once per season. This is the student athlete physical form that they take to their doctor. At not point is any of the information shared with the school. The school only gets the very last page that says whether or not the person was medically cleared to play sports. Asking about cycles is standard for any biological female physical.
it kinda isn’t. your balls aren’t the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this same as our periods. there are 0 reasons to know the dates of a child’s periods. Well, if someone has amenorrhea, it could be a sign of overtraining and/or undereating, which long term can also affect bone mass and lead to a high likelihood of bone fractures/early onset osteoporosis. But it also seems like maybe this is a chat with your PCP, not on this It could also be a sign of tRumptrash intruding into women’s reproductive health issues. Can’t have people missing periods, then getting them back in a couple of months. Might be an abortion involved. Need evidence for the Prosecutors. I want to disagree with this but sadly you may be right. I’ve heard similar speculation regarding period tracking apps.
Super liberal country in Northern California. Required physicals for any sports, so if you didn’t want to pay to go to a dr the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this nurse was there and would fill it out for you and conduct the physical exam. So like you and 10 of your teammates lined up to get it knocked out. Free healthcare might be the difference. Most people with health insurance would take this form to their PCP have it filled out after the exam and be cleared to play. So if this wasn’t offered by the school, those without healthcare or the means to pay a dr out of pocket for the physical wouldn’t be able to play sports. This was a free service offered by the school so you could get your physical and be cleared to play. So boys had to get their nuts checked and cough, in my case it was at the school gym by the nurse.
I remember these questions on a job application 40 years ago, refused to answer and didn’t get the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this job. I believe it’s illegal to ask these days, unless it’s a medical form. Ran into one of those during a job physical in the early 1990s. The doctor asked why I’d put N/A. I told him that the job didn’t involve sex, so that wasn’t a job-related question. He dropped the topic. Right! There used to be whole pages asking about various venereal diseases on an application for an office position. I just drew a diagonal line through the whole page. Hire me, don’t hire me. Btw, I’m menopausal, and had a hysterectomy over 10 years ago and they still ask about my last period. (Doctor’s, that is.) The doctor part is totally normal though. You’ve got a string of questions you essentially ask everyone. Doctors can omit asking these and just put down the obvious, but it’s so much easier to just go down the checklist. If you verbalize everything there’s much much much less chance of a mistake being made. Doctor’s do a LOT of repetitive, and on the outside, seemingly nonsensical things that are just there for safety purposes. It protects both you and them. Particularly on the routine stuff. A doc is gonna do stuff like questionnaire things as a “routine” type thing, without a lot of forethought. Then once that is out of the way, they’re going to take in that whole picture and address your issues(ideally, of course there’s quacks out there). This. Lots of time we’ll ask what seem like stupid questions because you’d be stunned what patients won’t think to mention otherwise. I saw a patient once who lost all vision in his left eye while in the hospital and didn’t tell anyone about it for 3 days as he wasn’t worried until then. Post-menopausal patients can absolutely start having bleeding again, but it’s highly concerning for endometrial cancer if they do and needs to be worked up.
Not a doctor or anything close, but I’m willing to bet there’s a very small percentage of women who think it’s normal to bleed post menopause. People are just dumb and doctors need to be able to address every level of medical knowledge. There is a very non-small percentage of every demographic that think some absolutely WILD stuff going on with their bodies is normal. Good to get a physician’s take. I’ve worked around the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this medical field a long time(medical billing), and have a lot of friends in the medical field. So I try my best. I know enough to know there’s way too much going on in the medical field to think you know better than the doctor(about anything other than how you feel, always self advocate!).
My immediate thought was, this is aimed at “proving” that the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this girls on the team are AFAB, and/or scaring any trans girls away. I thought it was to track everyone’s menstrual cycles to make sure there aren’t any teen abortions, but we’re turning into such a dystopian hellscape it’s probably both. “My intention in signing up for this team does not involve her becoming impregnated by the coach, and therefore these questions are not relevant, you ghoulish perverts.” Answer nacho to all questions then when they ask for clarification grab them by their fat face and scream “nacho business bitch” You could just answer “don’t know” to all of them. Technically you don’t know when your daughter got her first period, how often she has them, and how many she has in a year. Since you have to fill out the form and she’s not legally allowed to sign it, you’re not lying. I could see why a doctor would want this information, but a school? No. I’d maliciously comply with this and force them to tell you why they need it. The same 5 questions were on my daughter’s sports physical in Idaho too. I left them blank because it isn’t their business. Dr and the school district didn’t have an issue with them being blank. They know the media story of the likes of “John Johnson refused to allow a 14 year old girl to play Volleyball unless she talked to him about her period” would stick to them for the rest of their careers.Without some reported medical issues or obvious symptoms, I can’t even see why a doctor would want this information.
I had to fill out this same form to participate in school sports. I always assumed it was for the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this sole purpose of assuring that female athletes were not pregnant: in the case that they were injured during participation in their sport and have a stillbirth/miscarriage, the school wants to cover its metaphorical behind and ensure that they cannot be blamed for the loss of the fetus or harm to the athlete. I think they want to be able to legally prove that they had no reason to believe the athlete was pregnant at the time of joining the team. I did find asking for the information to be invasive and inappropriate, but we live in a litigious era. Edit: Register. Vote. same questions are part of nirmal basic health checks for allowing teens to do sports, likely the school didnt bother changing anything from the DRs questionaire
As for why you would wanna know, not having had a period yet or having them irregulary is a pretty clear indicator of some sort of hormonal imbalance, some of which could make practicing sports riskier than usual. Its something a pediatrician should have picked up but not every kid goes to a DR regulary so it may have gone unnoticed I think people are reading into this post too much. I’ve seen several people in this thread alone say they got these questions decades ago, well before any sort of trans panic. That has me leaning more towards “gross invasive questions to ensure the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this teen isn’t pregnant/ anorexic/ overworked” rather than “specifically exclusionary to the .001% trans high school athletes”
Maybe the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this school wants to know the medical info about the students. I honestly dont see it as anything crazy. Maybe overdetailed but malicious seems like a long stretch. Knowing if the kid has a medical condition could be really important for taking care of their health or, if it is the case, then its just bureocracy in a medical form and you could just leave it empty. I honestly dont see it as being weird or creepy, its medical info. Could be useless/just bureocracy, but I dont see it as malicious Can we use HIPAA to make this shit disappear? There is no way these idiots are storing this information in a compliant way. It’s probably some bullshit like they don’t want her to be on her period during a game, so anyone who has a period during the time of the month that most of their games are scheduled get refused. I’m pretty sure a parent knows when their daughter had her first period. But hopefully they don’t keep track of her periods after that.
As someone with teen daughters, I prefer this method. Make them explain it to me, in great detail. And I’m a grown man, so that would make it extra awkward for them, because period stuff doesn’t bother me one bit, yet here in Utah, I would probably lose count in 3 seconds of all the Sam Houston Bearkats Football Shirt Win The 2024 New Orleans Bowl Champions NCAA Division shirt In addition,I will do this men who can’t be bothered to learn about it because it’s “icky”. I’m a grown woman and can’t answer the last three and I struggle with #2 every time I go to the doc. Do most high schoolers use tracking apps? Exactly, every time I go to the doctors, I usually say “idk, I’m sure it was some time this month … my days blur together” Yeah, made this account after a long string of really terrible doctors. But now I have great doctors and don’t feel that way, but can’t change a username after the fact
