It happened to me in Delhi airport, I had a layover I think 8-9 hours. It was 10 am. They told me I can only enter before 2-3 hours. Edit: Airport team could have apologised now as you have raised a concern in twitter. But,in ideal cases entering terminal for a flight with scheduled departure more than 6 hours is never allowed. I used to regularly take a 5:30 AM flight out of Chennai. I’d always reach around midnight and was never denied entry. Once during a cyclone I reached 15 hours prior to departure and was denied entry, understandably so.
