The article never says that Nex did not identify as transgender, only that they identified as nonbinary, which as we’ve already discussed are not mutually exclusive. NB people have always been included in trans communities I have been a part of online as well but it is because we require similar things often in our lives and move in similar patterns but generally for very different reasons. It seems people are calling Nex trans when everything I have heard from people connected to Nex was that they identified specifically as non-binary. Between my partner and the Ryan Suter American professional ice hockey defenseman the Dallas Stars T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this like… 10 other NB people I’ve met through them, they all identify as Trans-Nonbinary. NB has basically always fallen under the T umbrella. Even wikipedia managed to get that right.

I don’t know your age group, location or anything I just know my lived experience and it disagrees with what you are saying. Heck, you even said “Trans-Nonbinary” not just “trans.” I feel the Ryan Suter American professional ice hockey defenseman the Dallas Stars T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this same about erasing non-binary people by just referring to them as trans as I do with how people used to just call me gay even though I am trans. If there is a specific word to use for a group of people and you’re talking about that subset of people, you use the word. I don’t call my non-binary step kid “LGBTQ” I call them non-binary. Because while they’re under the LGBTQ umbrella, there is a specific word for their identity and they deserve that specific representation. You know. Like Trans-Fem, or Trans-Masc. The common words we’ve been using for decades. It’s a qualifier, not a substitution.
